My new set of wheels 🩷
I am so proud of myself right now it's astounding. It's been six months since I started Roller Derby, and I have made so much progress. There are fifteen days and counting till my first official bout. I have been working my tail off and I feel like anything is possible. It feels the Stars are lining up in my favor. Though I'm still waiting to hear back about Disney College, there is no sense in worrying about something that is out of my hands.
I wanted to let you know, you must be my soul sister, literally. I feel like parts of your story could be my own. This is exactly how I felt/feel about Roller Derby and life. Sometimes I still feel fear making decisions for me, clearly I'm still a work in progress. Everybody is different, but I can almost guarantee you are not going to regret giving it a shot. If you give derby 110% of your effort, I guarantee you are going to progress in leaps and bounds. And I promise that's all they are looking for, somebody that's going put in the effort and work for it. They aren't expecting perfection, atleast not now. Nothing in Derby or life ever comes easy, but it sure is sweet when your hard work pays off. Six months in, and a bazillion practices later, I finally received my call up to the front lines. I was so proud of myself. And though I don't know you, I'm proud of you for taking the first step, it sure is a doozy.
