i’m changing my theory
i think the spoilers we got are from the season finale
y’know the one w the akuma that makes everyone take risks
and ladybug kisses chat noir on the cheek
ever since chat blanc falling in love w chat noir has been a risk
the akuma lowered her inhibitions
it made her love outweigh her fear
i’m just saying: what if the akuma makes ladybug realize her feelings for chat noir??? 👀
No, but seriously, that doesn't make any sense.
Sentimonsters don't have free will when someone is holding their amok. They can't resist or talk back or disobey the way Adrien has been doing since the literal canonical start of the series.
Hell, the first time Adrien tried to run away to school Gabriel explicitly told him not to do that again. And what did Adrien do? He disobeyed.
The only other sentimonster that even attempted to resist was Feast and it could only do that because it's amok was in it's stomach. Touching the damn thing wouldn't make a sentimonster more obedient when you're already holding their "free will" in the palm of your hand. Gabriel fiddles with the ring because it's a physical representation of his obsession with Emilie.
Why wouldn't Adrien follow Gabriel when called? He's Adrien's father sperm donor and this is probably the most Gabriel has talked to him since Glaciator 2.
And Adrien being a sentimonster is literally contradicted by Chat Blanc not listening to Gabriel when he ordered Adrien to ash Ladybug.
Also, I won't be acknowledging tweets from creators that have trolled the fandom for literal years.
(No, I will not be taking constructive criticism at this time.)
“Risk” was an amazing episode…but the most ooc behavior came from Chloé?
Chloé, who worked with Marinette to prevent Adrien from moving to Japan last season? That Chloé is now completely fine with Lila snatching him up? Fine with Adrien leaving Paris for months?
Non-Human’s aren’t worth much
Today, I’m gonna talk to you guys about a narrative device / story trope called “What Measure Is a Non-Human?” This device refers to the choice a creator might make to question the distinction between human and non-human. In terms of censorship, it refers to how, especially in children’s media, you can inflict worse fates on explicitly non-human characters than human ones without the people funding your project trying to axe your story. It’s basically an excuse to rack up a body count without there actually being a body count because the things being “killed” are not human and are, therefore, not really being killed. You can’t kill something that’s a thing.
Thomas Astruc has worked with children’s action/adventure shows for years. He knows about this story device, he has even taken advantage of it. Aeon and Sentibug were killed on-screen and Miraculous Ladybug is still rated TV-Y7 or the equivalent in most countries. In contrast, Batman: Mask of Phantasm, an animated kids’ superhero movie, where human characters die nonviolently on-screen, is rated PG.
Even in the case of the Special, Aeon’s death was undone almost instantly after. This story trope is often called a Disney Death, where a character can die and it won’t affect the rating as long as it gets undone quickly enough through a fakeout or resurrection. Even so, Aeon was in her robot form when it happened, to make sure her non-humanness was explicit. In contrast, Sentibug’s death doesn’t get undone, meaning a Sentimonster’s life is worth even less than a robot’s in the eyes of the arbiters of the Miraculous Ladybug universe.
In other words, Sentimonsters are considered explicitly enough “non-human” that they can be killed irreversibly on-screen without it affecting the rating. They cannot be killed. They do not have lives that can be taken away. They are not human.
This means that, if the writers then turned around and revealed one of their main characters to be a Sentimonster, an explicitly non-human creature that can be killed with no out-of-universe repercussions (aka, a rating bump) because they are not really alive, then he isn’t human in a metatextual sense. If Adrien is meant to preserve his worth as a human being or as close to human being as possible while being a Sentimonster, every single other Sentimonster needs to be treated as fully human and their deaths have to be undone.
being the topic du jour and all
The problem with the Adrien-is-a-sentimonster thing isn’t the no-man-of-woman-born whatever, since they’ve bent over backwards to insist that a sentihuman is completely 100% physically for all intents and purposes a human being like anyone else. Yeah, someone on this show is a sentimonster or at the very least there’s going to be a plotline about someone thinking that they are one.
The problem is that in the case of Adrien specifically, “posessing his own amok” could never be anything else than a tangible allegory for breaking free of his father’s abuse. And the problem with that is that they’ve already discarded the option through the very framework of how sentimonsters work. ~Controlling the amok~ has long since been tested and proven false.
In “Feast”, Nathalie blackmails the sentimonster with a threat of removing the amok, and Feast clearly, physically reacts to her powers. In “Ladybug”, Marinette gives Sentibug the amok and Nathalie promptly wipes her out of existence.
Posessing the amok will never be enough.
In order for any sentimonster on this show to be truly emancipated, it needs to posess not only the amok, but the peacock miraculous. And with that, the amount of provisions for the allegory has sunk any elegance to it, turning it from an apt narrative device to a matter of plot mechanics. If Adrien has to carry two pieces of jewelry in order to be a free man, then the show has also set up a clear precedent of miraculouses and other magical jewelry falling into the hands of relatives with sticky fingers.
That’s why I’m still not convinced - because this setup would amount to some MASSIVELY CLUMSY STORYTELLING. If Adrien is a sentimonster, then the only tidy way out of it is if The Wish ends up being used to turn him into a Real Boy or something to equal effect, and then what was the point except just adding another item to the list of Adrien Agreste’s life is despair.
(again: Those Rings clearly have some kind of magical abilities beyond any possible amoks, because this entire Felix-Gabriel feud can not be over a family heirloom. If that’s truly all they are, then Gabe’s redemption is going to be his using The Wish to set Adrien free once Felix completes the set and I’ll probably sit here pulling my hair)
Did Gabriel actually cry?

This was his worst emotional breakdown, holy shit. I want more of him crying over his wife because it actually shows he cares about someone?? Makes him more vulnerable? This man who usually doesn’t even show affection towards his own son.
(Can we also take note that both him and Adrien smash things when they’re mad? That’s so scary.)
I’m so glad that we’re finally getting payoff for the “using multiple miraculouses at once can make you lose your mind” thing from Kwamibuster.
Like. Gabriel isn’t acting himself anymore. He’s growing more and more erratic. He seems to be having difficulty keeping the composure that used to be so integral to his character.
Ok but listen
So I saw a post that said (correctly) that it would be awful if Marinette gave Felix the Dog Miraculous while still thinking he was Adrien and I was like ok but the potential for shenanigans…

GUESS WHO FUCKING ONE!

I DID!
About to play a game of Risk
Will update in (give or take) seven hours

There is a film about an artificial intelligence network that has finally determined that humans are the biggest pest and then wants to eliminate or contain them.
At OpenAI, AI now also creates videos
Pioneer OpenAI presents another advance in the development of artificial intelligence: new software can produce short videos based on text specifications. The first sample sequences of a woman in Tokyo, for example, are astonishing.

What is interesting overall is that no matter what risk technology mankind is involved in, whether in chemistry, biology, atomic physics and now AI, it is always carried out according to the same procedure: first do it, then think about it and then realise that the development can be misused.
Chemistry = chemical warfare weapons

Biology = biological warfare weapons

Atomic physics = nuclear weapons

AI = dangerous real-time altered reality applications, AI-controlled weapons technology, sociological cultures economic changes to the entire world of work ,.......
But now to the present
OpenAI has developed an application with which you can create a completely Ki-controlled reality.
This reality, which is not a reality, can no longer be distinguished from reality.
Open IA explains that you cannot create politicians with the application and embed them in a fake reality in order to abuse it for your own benefit.
What rubbish, why do you need politicians if you can't create real events which you can then use to incite ethnic groups against each other in order to pursue your own goals. The seizure of power on the basis of the disintegration of national unity.
Yes, next to it we have a few nice films that are completely harmless - no, not really.
How about the text entry: in the bible belt of the united states of america a trump supporter is brutally killed at a por life demonstration by three woke liberal demonstrators.
Or
This here in the middle of Jordan a fundamentalist Jewish settler shoots a group of Palestinian refugees.
Only stories made up by us which can of course be brought to life by a AI to the detriment of us all and to the benefit of a few who only pursue their own goals which are not in harmony with humanity.
And it will happen whether you mark it or not - it will become abuse. And the makers will, as always, not take responsibility but only generate money for the benefit of their shareholders.

As always, no one bears the responsibility and we all bear the risks!
It's time to create rules that everyone should abide by and thereby recognise those who violate them. Let's do nothing about it and if we do then only half-heartedly.
So these AI "impacts" will happen and we will all suffer as a result.
It will change the world and not for our benefit, but for the benefit of individuals.
The drone with facial recognition and AI as a weapon, the social score idea coupled with ki to dominate a people,.....
Hooray and this is more modern..... Insider 🌋🌋👍
mod
AI could support us in the fight against climate change, but that is not the business model that the makers of ki have in mind. Neither technology nor ki can solve the problems of climate change, both parts can only help to slow down the rise in temperature.
Political will and social responsibility based on action are the foundations for securing our future. AI can improve the world for us, but then societies have to be reorganised so that everyone benefits. AI tax for jobs that are lost due to AI, basic income, voluntary social work with responsibility paid from AI foundations, AI companies that take on social responsibility. .......
RISKy Endeavors
Based on the Risk headcanon:
There were certain rules to attending school at College Francoise Dupont if you wanted to survive.
First, avoid any interaction with Chloe Bourgeois if at all possible. If you are unfortunate enough to gain her attention, simply let her be and hope nothing about you offended her enough to threaten to get her father involved.
Second, expect an akuma attack at least once per week. Many students now had designated hiding spots by this point.
And third, Risk is banned from the premises and even mentioning the game is forbidden.
Adrien Agreste may have been attending the school for a few months, but he was still technically new and thus did not know this when he suggested a game day after school when he actually happened to have some free time.
The other boys seemed interested in the idea. At least until he made the mistake of actually starting to LIST the games.
They realized all too quickly what was happening.
He failed to see the growing panic.
“Yeah, I have a bunch of board games we can play! Monopoly, Life, Scrabble, Ri—”
Adrien was cut off by the sudden appearance of five different hands covering his mouth.
“Who told him?”
“I thought you told him?”
“I had to tell Alya! That was enough of a mistake!”
“No way, you know what happened last time!”
“Guys? What’s going on?” Came another voice that had all five males tensing in fear as they recognized that deceptively sweet voice. None dared to move or release Adrien. Slowly, they almost seemed to turn as one to face true horror.
Marinette Dupain-Cheng.
Wait—what?
Adrien blinked, completely confused.
“Nothing! Nothing is going on! Nothing at all!” Nino exclaimed.
“We were just talking about homework.” Ivan insisted.
“And nothing else!” Kim added, hurriedly.
Max merely started muttering incomprehensibly.
Nathaniel tried to hide his face behind his sketchbook.
Marinette appeared…disappointed. “Oh. Okay then. Guess I’ll see you all later.”
The five boys watched warily as Marinette walked away to the other end of the hallway and turned a corner out of sight.
None of the boys took this to mean anything though, and despite Adrien’s growing ire, they refused to release him until they were sure the coast was clear. Nathaniel went so far as to go after her and peek around the corner to make sure she was gone before turning back to the others with a nod that it was safe to talk.
“That was too close!” Kim said with a sigh of relief as he released Adrien. “Sorry, by the way.”
Adrien was…still confused. “What was THAT all about?”
Ivan winced. “It’s…complicated.”
Nathaniel was almost hyperventilating. “She was on the other side of the school. SHE WAS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE SCHOOL!”
“Logic doesn’t mean anything in the face of the “R-word”, Nathaniel. You know that!” Nino hissed.
And poor Adrien was completely lost. “What?
Kim, Ivan, Nathaniel, and Nino all sent each other glances, uncertain how to begin to explain. Realizing one of their number was not involved in the communication through staring, Kim’s eyes widened as he turned to find his much more intelligent friend who was sitting against a wall descending into strange muttering and where did he get that calculator from?
“Oh no, not again!” Kim moaned.
“I can figure it out, I swear!” The shorter boy insisted as he started typing the calculator furiously.
“Max. Max, no. We talked about this.”
“But the scientific probability—”
“Let it go, Max.”
“How could she not lose even ONE TIME!”
Kim sighed. “I’d better take him before he has another mental breakdown.”
Adrien gaped. “Another? What?”
Nino grimaced, rubbing the back of his neck. “Yeah, sorry dude.”
“It’s just not possible!” Max shouted before Kim hefted him over his shoulder and carried him out of the hallway, much to the somewhat resigned and amused stares of the other boys. And Adrien, who just stared after them in even greater confusion and a growing desire to know what the heck was going on!
With that strange interaction, Adrien turned to the others to try to request an explanation. As if sensing his intent, Ivan and Nathaniel suddenly had other places to be that were specifically not around him and immediately took off as well.
Realizing that he was the only one left (the cowards!), Nino sighed and took Adrien by the arm. “It’s okay. Let’s just go to my house and into a locked room where she can’t find us and I’ll explain everything.”

Real spirituality is rebellion against all that is rotten, against all that is past, against all that is being forced on you by others, against all conditionings. Real spirituality is the greatest rebellion there is. It is risky, it is adventurous, it is dangerous. So beware of pseudo spirituality which is always there, available, easily available at the door.”
