Do you guys think we will find out sometime this month if Andi Mack gets renewed? Like we found out last year February 19th that we were getting season 3 so, do you guys think it’s possible?
The winter solstice time is no longer celebrated as it once was, with the understanding that this is a period of descent and rest, of going within our homes, within ourselves and taking in all that we have been through, all that has passed in this full year which is coming to a close... like nature and the animal kingdom around us, this time of hibernation is so necessary for our tired limbs, our burdened minds.
Our modern culture teaches avoidance at a max at this time; alcohol, lights, shopping, overworking, over spending, comfort food and consumerism.
And yet the natural tug to go inwards as nearly all creatures are doing is strong and the weather so bitter that people are left feeling that winter is hard, because for those of us without burning fires and big festive families, it can be lonely and isolating. Whereas in actual fact winter is kind, she points us in her quiet soft way towards our inner self, towards this annual time of peace and reflection, embracing the darkness and forgiving, accepting and loving embracing goodbye the past year.
"Winter takes away the distractions, the buzz, and presents us with the perfect time to rest and withdraw into a womb like love, bringing fire & light to our hearth".
.. and then, just around the corner the new year will begin again, and like a seed planted deep in the earth, we will all rise with renewed energy once again to dance in the sunlight

Okay hear me out about this show “Deception”
So ABC just canceled this show called “Deception”, it has so far aired 9 episodes out of 13 and while ratings weren’t amazing, they were steadily growing plus they had put the show on Sundays at 10pm which to me seemed like a bad move but that’s just me. Now this show is one of the few new mystery shows that not only had a Castle/The Mentalist vibe with a fresh twist but it is actually really fun to watch.
The short version of the story is that Cameron Black was world’s greatest illusionist until his twin brother Jonathan gets framed for murder by a woman with two different colour eyes known as “The Sorceress”. Now he and his deception team (see what they did there) have teamed up with the FBI and Cameron teams up with FBI agent Kay Daniels and they help the FBI solve crimes while Kay tries to help Cameron prove his brother’s innocence.
The characters are very likable from the very beginning, the cast is diverse and the relationships between the characters are just amazing. The main character, Cameron Black is just cinnamon roll that is too pure for this world, Jonathan is the sad little cinnamon roll that has been left in the microwave for far too long and his heart has hardened. Cam and Johnny’s relationship is just so sweet, Cam will do anything to prove his brother’s innocence and Johnny is slowly losing hope of ever getting out but he wants to support his brother even though he can’t be there for him anymore.
Kay is the no nonsense badass FBI agent who gains a soft spot for Cameron (there is shipping up the wazoo in this show), she’s smart, funny and her developing relationship with Cameron is so much fun to watch. She looks like she could kill you but is actually a cinnamon roll.
The other characters include FBI agent Mike Alverez and the Deception team is made up of Gunter (badass british man), Jordon (tech genius), and Dina (the producer and make up artist). The other members of the cast are just as enjoyable to watch and the show gets you to care about all of them so quickly that it is just crazy and the show can be so funny when it wants to be.
If you were/are a fan of Castle, The Mentalist or even Brooklyn Nine Nine (I love B99 and that show is in a high-up league of it’s own because it also got renewed by NBC after being canceled by FOX but Deception really reminds of the show a lot) then I ask you to please check it out and watch the next four episodes of the season that will air on Sundays at 10 on ABC or CTV (for those who live in Canada and don’t have ABC) and try to help boost the ratings. Brooklyn Nine Nine got renewed and even though Deception has not gained that amazing fanbase (my favourite fandom, you guys are just amazing), I really feel like it could if it was given the chance that ABC did not give them.
And please use the hashtag #SaveDeception because it is just an amazing magical (no pun intended) show that should be seen because it is one of the few dramas now that seem to still have that lighthearted-ness to it and even though the show will try to break your heart at times, you won’t feel like you wasted your time.
Please help me save this awesome show.
