• Situado cercano a la frontera con Austria, a sólo hora y media al sudoeste de la ciudad alemana de Munich y próximo al encantador casco antiguo de la localidad de Füssen, se encuentra el Castillo de Neuschwanstein, una de las construcciones históricas más conocidas de Alemania.
• Este célebre castillo fue construido por orden de Luis II de Baviera, tristemente conocido como el ‘rey loco’, quien influenciado por la mitología alemana y las obras heroicas de la época decidió su construcción en una época en la cual los castillos y fortalezas no servían desde el punto de vista defensivo.
