Love this, it's so interesting and I think I agree with several things. Thank you so much for this seriously

Of course! I would love to! It became a bit longer than I was expecting, but I had fun writing it. without further ado, more headcanon here we go:

Continuation of this:

Stuffs
Red shoes and the 7 dwarfs headcanon: - Merlin and Arthur are brother (that is why Merlin is a prince in this movie), but Arthur is the olde

- Arthur is about 1 or 2 years older them Merlin

- In Camelot it is tradition for rulers to have two kids, so if the firstborn is, for some reason, not able to take the throne, the second kid will (the “an heir and a spare” idea from medieval times). If the firstborn does take the throne, the secund born normally take some important administrative or military post at the kingdom.

- In this universe people know that Arthur is the true heir of Camelot.

- Merlin and Arthur received the same formal education in their first years, but Merlin took magic was a hobby and became really invested in it whereas Arthur took sword fighting and showed a lot of talent as a strategist, so they end up focusing the specifics of their educations on those different areas. That is why their fighting styles are so different.

- Also because of those different focusses their where send to study in different parts of the kingdom when they where teenagers that is way their accents are different from one another (I know this is probably not how accents work, but I could not find any other good excuse)

- They are both sons of King Uther Pendragon and Queen Igerna (Duchess Igerna, before been queen).

I saw this image of the concept art book of the movie and this gave me some ideas:

Of Course! I Would Love To! It Became A Bit Longer Than I Was Expecting, But I Had Fun Writing It. Without

- Uther is a little bit of an oddity in Camelot because he is actually not the firstborn. His older brother, Ambrosio Pendragon, was the archetypical tyrannical fairy tale king. So, Uther, some disgruntled noble (Duchess Igerna been one of them) and a lot of the peasant population dethroned him and putted Uther on the throne.

- Merlin resented Arthur for the fact the he (Merlin) would be stuck on been a prince where his brother could one day become king. At first, he tried not to show it, because he knew it was not Arthur’s fault directly, but some noble in their court started to take notice of it and decided to play the siblings against it other, in hopes of getting more power as a reward for who ever came out on top.

- Fortunetly Uther and Igerna realized what was going on before another full out civil war broke in Camelot, Unfortunately the relationship between the brother was pretty tarnished to the point that learning about the plan to put one against the other was not enough to make them friends again.

- So, their parents, along with the help of fairy friend of them, the Lady of the Lake, send the brothers on a quest, so they would learn a lesson on friendship

- However, some of the scheming noble the King and Queen where not able to catch, with the help of an evil warlock (a real one this time, not a fairy that happens to be green), made so that the quest would be way longer and more dangerous that it should be originally

- The idea of evil plan was to just kill the siblings so the nobles and the warlock would be able to carve the kingdom between them when the king and queen died without an heir. That ended up backfired spectacularly because, not only the boys survived, the longer adventure healed the relation between them in a way that the original quest was not able to (even thought there was some rivalry left, like we saw in the movie), they met some of the people that would become the original F7 in the journey AND it gave more time for the good noble of Camelot to find out about the evil plot.

- At some point in the adventure Arthur offered Merlin to divide the kingdom between them once he became king. Merlin was a bit divided on the idea at this point, because he secretly blamed his envy of the throne for the fight that got then in this mess to begin with, but Arthur told him that they where both to blame, since the evil nobles would not have been able to turn him against Merlin if he himself didn’t envy his younger brother for been seen as the “smart one of the family”. When Merlin married Snow and Arthur eventually broke his curse, they decided to not split the kingdom anymore, because Merlin would end up been a king anyway (and historically speaking, dividing a kingdom between its heir is often a bad move).

----

Any way that is it, hope you guys liked.

By the way, even if I took some names from the Arthurian mythos there is little to no relation to the actual story aside for the names, I just thought it would be cool to do a nod to the original story

Hey there! :D

If you don’t mind, could we get some info about your Red Shoes AU? 👀

Making the clarification that this is reposted!

Apologise for deleting the question as you know one gets anxious about these things but m so grateful for question! Thank you for being patient with me! <3

Let's start!... first of all I want to make a statement, some of you noticed that I haven't introduced Hans yet, and I think the reasons are clear, I don't know what to do with him and it's not fair for the character, I try to make him fit in Jack's story although there are obstacles that prevent me from developing him ;(

Well leaving aside this statement I also want to say that this answer will be a bit long because well it's talking about a bit of everything.

Some stories are lighter and more romantic than others (for example Snow and Merlins story), some are realistic and raw, while others try to show how things collapsed after this war, Jack's story is about his family and their survival in occupied France, the one about the triplets is about how they are forced to lend their talents and work for the Axis Powers and how they regret doing things to harm others.

Last but not least Arthur, was a young boy that took responsibility for his home and family. The idea came about because I watched some movies about WW2 (like Schindler's List and The Pianist) plus a full-color WW2 documentary on Netflix, and then the idea just clicked in my head, the F7s are from those countries that actively participated in the war, a mind-blowing concept, what it would be like to see these characters during this period. 🤔

This is roughly how I handle this AU, but if you have any concerns please ask me, and if there are any clarifications please let me know!!!!!!!!!

By the way this project is made with all the respect that this topic deserves, I do it with the purpose of informing and educating about this topic, there are some sensitive issues and I will treat them as such.
