Psalm 40:10 (NLT) - I have not kept the good news of Your justice hidden in my heart; I have talked about Your faithfulness and saving power. I have told everyone in the great assembly of Your unfailing love and faithfulness.
Psalm 23 - This means a lot to me
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, 3 He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
Psalm 23 has always been my favorite Psalm since I remember. Whenever I am in trouble, or I am fighting for something in my life, I always read this part of the Holy Bible. I read this a lot in Indonesian Holy Bible version... Been reading this a lot until I can read this Psalm without even looking at the Bible.
Every time I read this, I know that I got no reason to be afraid... because I have a Shepherd who will always help me, and I lack nothing. Every time I feel like my faith is shaken, then I start reading this in my head... I know that everything is going to be just fine, and I know victory will always be a part of my life no matter what.
My grandpa used to ask me to read Psalm 23 when he was staying with me during the final examination in Junior High School. Every morning before I went to school, He would ask me to read this Psalm and pray for me. Hmm, miss him a lot...
And right now... I really am in a big fight. I am fighting for my future and it's something that I have always been fighting for... I know it's not easy, and there's no easy way out. So... this is why I am fighting really hard to win this thing... And I believe that things will turn out to be great, and I will bring victory in both of my hands.

God is never deaf or blind to our pain & our suffering. But we are often deafen and blind ourselves to the pain & suffering he experienced upon the Cross. He suffered in order to pay the debt of sin that we cannot pay ourselves, he died to conquer Death & free us from its clutches, and rose from the dead that we may instead rise to Eternal Life.
Praise the Lord, even (and especially) in moments of pain & anguish, for all the good he has done for you, and share this most precious gift of faith with your loved ones. God bless you all

God's love for you is steadfast and unconditional

Got a lot of friends going through trials & tribulations recently. Hoping they’ll take some comfort in this psalm.
Christ doesn’t promise us that we’ll never experience evil or difficulty in this world - more often he suggests that a life of faith will create certain difficulties in our lives as we prioritize the things of Heaven over the things of Earth.
What he does promise is that we will not be alone in our struggles, and that those struggles will bear fruit if we approach them with a Christian perspective. “My yoke is easy and my burden light.” A yoke is a tool that is worn by two oxen walking side by side - who better to help us carry our burdens, fears, concerns than the Almighty himself?
God willing, our life in the next world will be without suffering and heartache. That’s a promise we can take hope in as we shoulder our burdens and look forward to Everlasting Life in the Kingdom of God

We can praise God in all of our works & efforts when we make a deliberate effort to consecrate them to him. God is not only glorified in song & liturgy, but in the sewing of vestments, the making of candles, the fashioning of tabernacles, the laying of bricks for the church walls, and in all other lay activities which we dedicate and sanctify for him.
The highest work we can perform is to glorify God, and our talents are most fruitful, fulfilling, and rewarding when we apply them toward this highest purpose.
Let's sanctify even one small mundane task or leisurely pursuit in our day for the glory of God, to approach it as holy work with all our skill, and see what a difference it makes in our life :)
