A Conversation I Had About My Productivity
Me: I really feel like shit and I don't know why. Oh well. I plan on doing more of my projects tonight. I need to keep my brain occupied or I feel like I'll explode. Friend: You know, the reason why you feel like shit all the time is because you push yourself to do things when they are no longer fun. Try stopping when what you're doing isn't fun anymore and doing something else, then trying again tomorrow. Me: OH
Heyoo!! i made a discord server for my project :), ty oc,au and rp servers for inspiring me to do this/hj

Some of my fav pages from my art book for my art fundamentals class.

Probably an artist’s fantasy is to see its own masterpieces exist and have a life of its own. Tanya Markova’s new mv Iglap made that possible!!!! The prod used my sketches/illustrations here (aside from me being an extra! Hehe) I feel lowkey kilig about it; having to see the finished product is bliss.

Welcome to the Captain America Reverse Big Bang 2018!
The Captain America Reverse Bang is a reverse of the usual Big Bang challenge. Each artist wishing to participate creates a piece of art that will be posted anonymously to be claimed by an author. Authors are then expected to write a story (minimum of 5,000 words) inspired by the art they have chosen.

Writing Update (3/18/18)
I’m trying to put myself on a much more regular writing schedule, attempting to turn writing into a steady habit instead of something that happens a) only when inspiration strikes or b) when I have some kind of submission deadline looming in less than 48 hours. Hopefully semi-regularly tracking my progress publicly will help me stay motivated. I figured Sunday nights to recap the previous week and plan for the next were a good idea.
These updates will mostly be for my own benefit, so I’m putting the nitty-gritty under a read more so as not to bore people.
Current Projects: 3
Untitled Captain America Reverse Big Bang Fic (UCARBB)
The Opposite of Dying (TOOD)
To the Waters and the Wild (TTWATW)
(Tentative) Upcoming Projects: 5
Untitled Captain America “Groundhog Day”-style fic (because I’m a sucker for that plot)
Untitled Inhumans revisitation (...but, like, good)
Untitled Crimson Peak revisitation (more lesbian tension because c’mon)
Untitled “Eye of the Beholder” inspired Jessica Jones AU (will be credited as “inspired by” with a link to the original on Ao3)
Untitled Doctor Who original flavor, “weekly-episode” style fic (Harry Potter crossover)
Projects On Hiatus: None.
Untitled Captain America Reverse Big Bang Fic: An MCU/Captain America fic for a community challenge based on a lovely piece of fanart. Currently top priority as it is the only project with an external deadline. A Steve, Natasha, and Bucky character study with meta elements to the plot.
Draft: Outline
Current Word Count: 0
Word Count Goal: 5,000
Percent Word Count Completion: 0%
Deadline: May 19 (Saturday) - 62 Days Remaining
Notes: I have settled on a premise and begun very vaguely imagining an outline, though I am missing some key connective tissue for the plot and have no discrete individual scenes sketched out as of yet. I have solid ideas for characterization for my main protagonists’ mindsets and emotional arcs, and a rough outline of the original antagonists. I know how it starts and ends.
This Week’s Goal: A completed outline of the full plot and individual scenes. At least 500 words in the rough draft. The weekly word count goals should go up as a) I will have finished the outline and will know where I’m going better and b) get into the swing of writing this particular fic.
The Opposite of Dying: A semi-abandoned multi-fandom roleplay posted to a private forum that I am hoping to revisit and begin writing again. A realistic take on the self-insert genre.
Draft: Rough Draft
Cumulative Word Count: 11,344
Current Word Count: 0
Word Count Goal: 200/week
Percent Word Count Completion: 0%
Deadline: 3/25 (Sunday) - 7 Days Remaining
Notes: Started back in mid 2016 with a goal of 200 words a week after about 4-5 years of existing as an oral epic poem between an irl friend and I. From the beginning it had a spotty updating schedule - I last worked on it in early 2017. I hope to pick it back up with a short weekly post as the story already exists fairly fully formed (though ongoing) in my head and my friend might strangle me with impatience otherwise.
This Week’s Goal: Reread and revise all previous posts to re-familiarize with the fic and so I can keep the tonal and stylistic flow consistent despite the hiatus.
To the Waters and the Wild: A semi-abandoned Harry Potter group roleplay on a private forum that I am hoping to revisit and begin writing again. A cast of OCs at Hogwarts.
Draft: Rough Draft
Cumulative (Personal) Word Count: 2,968
Current Word Count: 0
Word Count Goal: 200/week
Percent Word Count Completion: 0%
Deadline: 4/8 (Sunday) - 21 Days Remaining
Notes: Started back in mid 2015 as a roleplay between friends in which I set a personal goal of 800 words every 3 weeks. From the beginning it had a spotty updating schedule - trying to juggle a handful of different writers was difficult and I personally last worked on it in mid 2016. I hope to pick it back up and continue the story, which was roughly planned out to the end. Even if I can’t bait the others back in I’d like to finish my part.
This Week’s Goal: Reread and revise all previous posts to re-familiarize with the fic and so I can keep the tonal and stylistic flow consistent despite the hiatus
Recap:
Current Projects: 3
Past Week’s Word Count: 0
Percentage of Past Week’s Goal Met: N/A
Upcoming Projects: 5 ideas for new fics, but I will not be starting on any of them until UCARBB is complete
Upcoming Week’s Goals: Full outline and individual scene roadmaps for UCARBB. Reread and revise all previous posts of both TOOD and TTWATW to re-familiarize with the fics and so I can keep the tonal and stylistic flow consistent despite the hiatus.
Projected Week’s Wordcount: 500 new words (all for UCARBB)
Writing Update (3/25/18)
How did my desire to keep a steady writing schedule go this week? Well, I put it all off until Sunday, of course! And then ended up being surprisingly busy Sunday, so saying I didn’t devote as much time to it as I wanted would be a massive understatement. Basically, I’m in the same spot I was last week.
Current Projects: 3
Untitled Captain America Reverse Big Bang Fic (UCARBB)
The Opposite of Dying (TOOD)
To the Waters and the Wild (TTWATW)
(Tentative) Upcoming Projects: 6
Untitled Captain America “Groundhog Day”-style fic (because I’m a sucker for that plot)
Untitled Inhumans revisitation (…but, like, good)
Untitled Crimson Peak revisitation (more lesbian tension because c’mon)
Untitled “Eye of the Beholder” inspired Jessica Jones AU (will be credited as “inspired by” with a link to the original on Ao3)
Untitled Doctor Who original flavor, “weekly-episode” style fic (Harry Potter crossover)
Untitled Walking Dead video-game-style OC fic (branching paths, many deaths)
Projects On Hiatus: None.
Untitled Captain America Reverse Big Bang Fic: An MCU/Captain America fic for a community challenge based on a lovely piece of fanart. Currently top priority as it is the only project with an external deadline. A Steve, Natasha, and Bucky character study with meta elements to the plot.

Word Count Goal: 5,000
Percent Word Count Completion: 0%
Deadline: May 19 (Saturday) - 55 Days Remaining
Notes: I have settled on a premise and begun very vaguely imagining an outline, though I am missing some key connective tissue for the plot and have no discrete individual scenes sketched out as of yet. I have solid ideas for characterization for my main protagonists’ mindsets and emotional arcs, and a rough outline of the original antagonists. I know how it starts and ends.
This Week’s Goal: A completed outline of the full plot and individual scenes. At least 500 words in the rough draft (not just as background notes). The weekly word count goals should go up as a) I will have finished the outline and will know where I’m going better and b) get into the swing of writing this particular fic.
The Opposite of Dying: A multi-fandom roleplay posted to a private forum that I am hoping to revisit and begin writing again. A realistic take on the self-insert genre.

Cumulative Word Count: 11,344
Current Word Count: 0
Word Count Goal: 200/week
Percent Word Count Completion: 0%
Deadline: 3/25 (Sunday) - 7 Days Remaining
Notes: It was quicker and easier to get back into the swing of this than it was my other ongoing fics, seeing as I was still at the editing-what-I-wrote-two-years-ago stage instead of producing new content. I read and re-familiarized myself with everything I did before, so now my plan is to edit it and continue.
This Week’s Goal: Edit all previous posts to keep the tonal and stylistic flow consistent despite the hiatus.
To the Waters and the Wild: A Harry Potter group roleplay on a private forum that I am hoping to revisit and begin writing again. A cast of OCs at Hogwarts.
Draft: Rough Draft
Cumulative (Personal) Word Count: 2,968
Current Word Count: 0
Word Count Goal: 200/week
Percent Word Count Completion: 0%
Deadline: 4/8 (Sunday) - 14 Days Remaining
Notes: Easier to get back into, again because I have a good chunk of old content to start from. Reread it all, now planning to edit and continue the story.
This Week’s Goal: Edit all previous posts to keep the tonal and stylistic flow consistent despite the hiatus
Recap:
Current Projects: 3
Past Week’s Word Count: 0
Percentage of Past Week’s Goal Met: 0% (I’m disappointed but not really beating myself up - looking forward to next week)
Upcoming Projects: 6 ideas for new fics, but I will not be starting on any of them until UCARBB is complete
Upcoming Week’s Goals: Full outline and individual scene roadmaps for UCARBB. Revise all previous posts of both TOOD and TTWATW to keep the tonal and stylistic flow consistent despite the hiatus.
Projected Week’s Wordcount: 500 new words (all for UCARBB)

Introducing.......
Bangtan Fic Archice is proud to present our first ever project!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Project: Hidden Gems is all about the behind-the-scenes creators out there. The “hidden gems” as you will. This is about bringing a spotlight to small writers here on Tumblr. They may not get thousands of notes on a masterpiece they have created, but we want to change that! We want to share their work to a wider audience! Let’s give them their shining moment they have been awaiting for!
How the project will work is you, yes you reading this, will submit to us an author or an author’s story that is a smaller blog. The definition of a smaller blog in this project will be under 1,000 followers and on average posts (not reblogs) have less than 500 notes, Relatively newer blogs (less than a year old, but even if the blog is over a year old can still be submitted).
Timeline: February 24 - March 23 2021

Submission Requirements:
No more than one blog per submission.
The blog has to have at least four BTS fanfictions published. This could be anything from oneshots, series, and drabbles.
When submitting a blog, please include the blog name, your favorite fanfic of theirs, and a short paragraph stating why you are submitting the blog.
Check out our rules for our general submission rules and content that is not allowed on Bangtan Fic Archive.
All submissions are due by March 23, 2021. Anything submitted afterwards will be discarded.

Results will be posted on March 24, 2021 along with a brief summary of each blog and what they post! We are looking forward to meeting new authors and their works!
If you have any questions or concerns, please visit our faq page.

[WillWare is sitting in his room, alone. Enter Smart Alex.]
Smart Alex: Hey look, you're in your room by yourself again. Looks like you've been busy, eh?
WillWare: As a matter of fact, I HAVE been busy. Been hanging with friends and getting work done. It's been a productive couple of weeks.
Smart Alex: Wow! Impressive. Sounds like things are going pretty well for you, for once.
WillWare: Har har.
Smart Alex: Ever start any of those projects you've been jabbering about so much?
WillWare: No, not yet. Haven't found the motivation. I'm enjoying the ride right now.
Smart Alex: What's to lose? What, are you afraid something's gonna come along and kill your progress? That's never stopped you before, heh.
WillWare: ...
Smart Alex: ...Wait, you're serious.
WillWare: A little bit, yeah...
Smart Alex: Come on, dude! It's not like the universe is going to kill you if you try something new.
WillWare: It's not about trying something new!
Smart Alex: Then what is it? Scared? Too much work? Not enough people breathing down your back? I bet I can get someone on your case if you--
WillWare: I'm scared I can't finish what I start, okay?
Smart Alex: ...Something from the outside, or something from the inside? Cause I've got a pet snake, I can make it something external.
WillWare: [mutters] where the hell did you get a snake
Smart Alex: Tell you what, I can make this one easy. Finish this conversation.
WillWare: ...what?
Smart Alex: Finish this conversation with me. Right now. That way you've finished something. Confidence!
WillWare: Is this a trick? [glances around for camera] Are you setting me up?
Smart Alex: What? No. I'm trying to be nice to you. I know that's not exactly normal of me, so you should take advantage of it.
WillWare: But--
Smart Alex: If you doubt my generosity on this one, I could just stay here for a few hours and leave on my own terms.
WillWare: ...Um... Okay then. Thanks for coming by.
Smart Alex: See you later! And do get some work done, won't you? [Exit.]
[WillWare pulls out his computer and starts clicking away furiously.]
Smart Alex: [from behind] How's it going?
WillWare: HOLY FRICK-- [jumps] WHERE DID YOU COME FROM?!?
Smart Alex: Good, you're hard at work. Get back to it!
[Smart Alex pats WillWare on the back before leaving. WillWare grumbles as he resumes working.]
Hyper-update 2017
For a while now on Twitter, I’ve been hinting at some life changes happening that are affecting my ability to do some things like stream or work on projects. Now that the dust is beginning to settle and plans are being made, I’d like to spill the beans:
As of November 2016, I am no longer in college.
The official reason on paper is that I couldn’t continue paying for classes. I ran out of scholarships, and student loans were not paying enough (as silly as that may sound). But if I’m going to be honest... I was already looking for a way to take a break, or something of the sort. I still had options to continue if I really wanted to, but I decided against them.
The stress of college was becoming unbearable. My last quarter was one of my weakest in terms of grades, and that wasn’t just because of the course load. Every day was a struggle to do just what I absolutely needed to do, so that I could collapse on my bed and rest as much as possible. And that doesn’t just describe this last quarter, either - my life has felt like it’s been draining from me as the years have gone by.
Am I exaggerating here? Probably a little. But that’s what it felt like going through it, and it’s what I remember upon looking back.
The day after the quarter ended, I perked up tremendously. I'm not spending all day in bed anymore. I’ve started streaming again, I’ve started working on projects again, I’ve started being more social. Energy levels have been so high that I frequently distract myself from one project with another one.
Surely I’m exaggerating here, too? ...Surprisingly, no. I’m still recovering from the stress, but it’s been a very quick process.
The only thing that’s been keeping me from going full tilt on any project lately is figuring out what to do now that college is, er, “out of the way.” After talking with a lot of people about my options (and praying a lot), I think I’ve decided that it’s time to go back home for a while.
My parents are very open to this, so it should be a smooth transition. I’ll be able to recover much more quickly at home, and take care of things that I couldn’t before - or just didn’t. I’ve even been presented with some unique opportunities that I don’t have here. The biggest problem with this will be finding a job at home; this was a huge factor in my decision (since I already have a job here), but I think that things will work out.
As far as what you guys will see from me: In between packing, I hope to continue working on projects (one of them is almost ready for showtime!) and do some one-off streams. Then, when I get home and things stabilize a bit - expect to see a lot from me. Streams, sketches, videos, levels, writing, and as much energy as I can feasibly wring out of this human body of mine.
2017 is looking up.
