when fandom says "wow, they're like a mother-daughter relationship", I say "wow, they're like a romantic relationship".

Syndrome (The Incredibles) - Strived to overcome the differences between himself and people born naturally gifted with superpowers through discovery and innovation
Evelyn Deavor (The Incredibles 2) - Wanted people to strive for more than just ease and consumption, and have people be capable of taking care of themselves and experience their own life while dealing with trust issues due to her tragic past
Charles Muntz (Up) - Wanted to prove himself to be a great explorer and regain his dignity by finding the one thing that would redeem himself
Chick Hicks (Cars) - Was just being competitive and wanting to do his best to become accomplished, (although he was being quite a dick about it)
Randall Boggs (Monster’s Inc.) - Kind of the same as Chick Hicks, very competitive and strived to become top scarer and become better than the naturally gifted Scully
Lotso (Toy Story 3) - Was trying to cope with rejection and set up a system to protect himself from experiencing that hurt again
These are the ones I could think of and remember off the top of my head. Real good writing in these movies. Incredibles 2 hit me hard ngl, was a little too close too home.
The thing I love most about Pixar movies is how I understand all their villains and they are all relatable. I understand where they’re coming from and I feel sympathy for them. But it tears my heart apart because they feel like they need to take things to such an extent to be heard. Good motives, wrong methods.

You guys I just had a terrible thought
Before dave died, Gabriel mentioned that he would go after ‘his cop friend’ next. Implying that he plans to kill thatcher.
And what is he seen doing in catalyst? Leading thatcher to Adam, an alternate that could very easily give him M.A.D, considering his pretty shitty mental situation.
It’s telling that thatcher is willing to do some very risky things after 17 years of decline + his only buddy leaving him for who knows what (dying, btw). To the point where he not only confronts Adam, a very obvious alternate, but brings him back to the police station and tries to question him.
I’m not saying that Adam intends to hurt thatcher, but Gabriel clearly does. And with him leading a broken Thatcher Davis to right in front of an emotional and unstable alternate, its not hard to see what he plans to happen.

I'm telling my little siblings a short version of tgcf, as a bedtime story. I'm trying to um, gloss over the gory parts, but I'm not sure this was the best idea...
It started with my brother crying on a pillow, so I told him about how the tears make it look like the pillow has a face, then I remembered the Human Face Disease and told him about that, which I admit was really stupid on my part, and so he started crying even harder, so I had to assure him that it was just a curse and got cured.
My sister was like, just like that? Cured? How? So I offered to tell them the story from the start, and that's how we got here.

Yes, she’s very a bit mentally unstable, but she just needs some reassurance here and there.
Ever since you came to terms with your feelings for her, you swore to yourself that you’d always be her shoulder to cry on anyway.
You gladly accept to which she beams, “Perfect! I’ve been planning this day for weeks. First, we’re gonna make bombs together, then braid each other’s hair, then I’m gonna do your makeup…”
Basically, you guys don’t really go anywhere, but just spend time in each other’s company.
Regardless of whether you liked your hair being braided or your makeup done, you’d go along with anything she wanted.
You guys would make a bunch of bombs together, using brightly colored paint to draw stupid faces on them.
She’d really like the goofy faces you draw on yours.
She’d braid one of the clusters of hair that frame your face, just to be safe in case you didn’t like having all of your hair in one braid.
She likes when you braid her hair and doesn’t get too upset if you pull a bit. She probably likes it.
She’d sit on your lap to do your makeup. She’d give you eyeliner (not the absolute best at eyeliner), dark eyeshadow, and dark lipstick.
Would totally put said lipstick on herself first and then kiss you to put it on you.
The kiss would probably lead to a full on make out session if you were really feeling up for it.
