Oh sweet boy. Though Nezha could never truly understand what you’re going through, he does his best to help you. He’s normally uptight about your affections unless you two are alone, but he puts his pride aside for this. Lots of head pats and forehead kisses for you if you don’t mind them. The night he finds you singing so sadly after you went to see your friend at the hospital, he’s really torn. Should he interrupt you and comfort you? Should he wait? Either way, your voice on its own almost brings him to tears. He ends up waiting and then, very quietly, coming to sit by your side. He sits with you while you cry it out for as long as you need. To help distract you, he might even ask you to teach him to play your favorite video games. But if you want to work through your feelings head on he’s more than happy to help you.
SWK
Feels terrible. He’s seen all kinds of loss in his lifetime, but to see his normally chippy lover in so much pain breaks his heart. He still puts up his usual front of being happy and worry-free, but it’s all in an effort to try and help you smile again. He’s already super affectionate with you, but now even more so. He knows he can’t undo anything but by the gods he’s gonna help you through the grieving process. Loves your voice, but when he hears you singing not for joy but for tragedy, he struggles not to ugly cry. You finish your song and he takes his spot at your side, not saying a word. Wukong reaches out, and if you’ll allow him to, he holds you so tight because he knows it hurts like hell. He doesn’t really know how to truly process anything harsh like this, but he’s very good at distraction. Tell him about anything you want, show him your favorite games, let him take you shopping for those cute clothes you like. He’s with you for every step of the way.
Macaque
First of all, Know that this man would do ANYTHING for you once you two are in a stable relationship. He’s a little stiff about affection at first, but you’re so cute that he can't resist warming up to you. He hides in your shadow a lot, just to hang out, but this time it’s different. You’re sitting on the ground, singing your heart out, and he assumes the worst considering the last he knew you were visiting your friend in the hospital. After you’re done, and start crying a little, he pops out of your shadow to comfort you. He cuddles up to you, even lets you wear his scarf, and gives you tissues as you let it all out. Macaque doesn’t mind joining you on any path you want to take from this point. As long as you’re not hurting yourself, of course. If you want to really grieve, he’ll offer up his shoulder to cry on and his favorite meditations to help. If you’d prefer to just…avoid things, for a while, then he’s happy to take you anywhere you want to go. Just say the word and he’ll be there.

He’s very in tune with himself and his emotions these days. Honestly one of the most stable boys from this series as a whole. And if you’re struggling obviously he’ll offer up whatever comfort or resources he can!
He’s a little stiff. It might take him a while to warm up to PDA or even affection in general, but honestly once he’s used to it he doesn’t mind anything. His favorite thing is definitely hand kisses though.
Great sense of style and fashion! Coordinate your outfits with him, he’ll gladly take pictures of you two, 10/10, also he thinks you look amazing when you wear his clothes
There’s nothing he loves doing with you more than cozying up with some warm tea on the couch and watching movies. It’s when he feels the most calm, the most safe, the most at peace.

SWK - concerned more than anything else, in the beginning. He wants to ensure that she’s never in harm's way. What if she got hurt? What if he couldn’t protect her? But then she pops off and actually protects him, and not only is he amazed, he’s much more curious about her than before. Maybe encourages her to train with him to see her skills, and even give her new moves to work with! He is supportive of her, but he also has a healthy amount of fear for her!
Macaque - like Wukong, he wants her to stay out of trouble. However something was bound to happen eventually, and there she was pulling knives from her boots and throwing them with amazing aim at their target. His jaw is on the floor, he can’t believe how cool it is, he himself might not even join the fight just so he can see her finish it off. Afterwards he makes sure she’s okay before asking her “what the heck was that?!”. He vows to never underestimate her ever again.
Nezha - Nezha, being his dutiful prince self, will instinctively try to protect her sweet soul like it’s glass. He loves how sweet and genuinely nice she is, especially to him. However, he gets so worried when there’s that moment he can’t jump in front of her to take the brunt of an attack, but what’s this? She’s got her own weapon, and stopped the attack midair. He’s incredibly shocked, however he’s also SO PROUD OF U BB GO KICK THEIR BUTTS! She manages to finish off the fight on her own, and then when she’s done he goes up to her and is all like “omg you did so good are you hurt at all?? Let’s go get some food :)”
Redson - doesn’t mind having to take the lead for her! The least he can do for someone so sweet and special to him is to do the fighting and violence stuff. He was going to launch his flames at the demon that dared to try and mess with her, but when he looked, there she was beating them into next week. He could not be more proud!! Won’t make a big deal if she doesn’t want him to, but definitely celebrates her victory!! Power couple!!

“Ah, y/n! I wasn’t expecting you today,” as you walked into Nezha’s house, you saw him making an effort to draw…something…on a scroll. “How are you?”
“I’m alright. What are you doing?” You pointed at the scroll, and he looked at it in disdain as he folded his arms across his chest.
“I wanted to try doing a more modern version of this old map, but I’m halfway done and I’m realizing it’s a waste of time. But I already started, so I want to finish it.”
“That’s a cool idea, but no one’s pressuring you to finish it.” You set your bag on his couch, not letting him see what was inside. You’d been trying to get this to happen for ages, and now might just be your chance.
“I appreciate that, lotus. But if you want you can just hang out while I try to get to a good stopping point.” He gave you a sweet smile, but you could see the bags under his eyes. You both knew that a good stopping point in his opinion was to just finish.
“Or you could stop now and let me surprise you with something?” You offered, resting your chin on his head as he turned back to his map. You brought your hands to his shoulders, giving them a light squeeze.
“What’s the surprise?”
“I have to go set it up in your bathroom, first.”
“Oh, you’re not throwing ten different bath bombs in there again, are you? It took me forever to get the stains out of my tub!” He immediately grew suspicious of you, reaching for the bag. You moved faster than him and snatched it.
“No bath bombs, I promise! I’ll come get you in a few minutes, alright?” You winked, walking outside of his reach just in case he wanted to grab at you again. He didn’t, but he made a motion for you to hang on. You leaned down to his level, holding the goodies behind you. To your pleasant surprise, he gave you a quick kiss on the cheek, but then he gave you a playfully serious look.
“Don’t do anything stupid.” He said.
“No promises!” You continued your walk and closed the bathroom door behind you. It wasn’t a small room, it would definitely be fine for what you were planning. As quietly as you could, you took some tea lights out of the bag, setting them up around the rim of the tub and on the counter by the sink. There were some face masks for him to choose from, most of them being out-of-the-bottle rather than the slimy sheet ones. You even got a fun patterned headband for him to hold his hair out of his face. Nail polish, in case he was willing to go all out, and some stones you were going to heat up. Finally, you ran a bath, throwing some bubbles in, but not the bomb you picked out—at least, not yet.
“Nezha? Can you come back here for a second, hon?” You poked your head out of the door with a grin. You heard movement and then moved out of the room and stood in front of the door to meet him. He came to a stop in front of you, wiping his hands on his pants.
“Okay, what did you break?”
“I didn’t break anything, honest! I just wanted to do something nice for you, since I know you’ve been putting a lot of effort into your work lately. So here,” you handed him one of those soft white robes you really only see at hotels. He narrowed his eyes. “Go get changed into this.”
“Why?”
“You’ll see!”
He was still suspicious of you, but he went into his room and then, a few minutes later, you had to do your best not to stare at him as he walked towards you. His figure was hard not to look at.
“Okay, what’s going on?”
“Behold! A spa, just for you!”you opened the door with a flourish. He raised his eyebrows at you, then his face turned a bit red.
“Y/n…you know I have stuff to do.” He went in anyways after you took his hand and dragged him in.
“You always have stuff to do! You’re tired. You need a break.” You ranted at him, gesturing to the bath.
“I guess a little break wouldn’t hurt…” he sighed, rolling his eyes as you turned around to let him get in without being embarrassed.
“That’s the spirit!”
He slipped into the water and moved his hair over the edge of the tub so it wouldn’t get wet. You went to the other side of the tub so you could reach it and gently put it into a braid. You could tell he wasn’t fully relaxed or fond of this, but you intended for that to change at some point.
“Can I do your nails?” You asked. He chuckled.
“Why not.”
As he held out his hands you got to work in painting them a nice pinkish color. Once you had finished with the top clear coat, you did the other hand and then helped him to put a face mask on. His face was softer now, you noticed, and his shoulders had stopped being stuck in one spot as he gradually gave in to the feeling of not being so stressed. By the end of it, when he got out of the bath and into the robe again, he seemed hesitant to leave.
“You okay?”
“Yes. I’m just really thankful to you for doing this for me.” He hugged you, pressing a kiss to your temple. You kissed him back, smiling at him.
“We’ll have to do this more often, then! You deserve it, you know?”
“I suppose.”

A stern voice alerted y/n to their surroundings. They had no idea how they got into this beautiful garden, but they were sure having fun running around the area. Their current resting spot was at the edge of a small koi pond, where the large orange fish were poking their noses out of the water to inspect the child for food.
A tall, strangely dressed man was approaching them. He had a spear in his hands, but y/n was not intimidated by him. If anything, they were happy to see a potential playmate!
As he got close enough, y/n waved at him with a smile.
“You shouldn’t be here. If you’re mortal, how did you even get in here?” Nezha crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow at them.
“Dunno,” y/n shrugged. He held out his hand.
“Come with me. I’ll get you home.”
“But I’m having fun!”
“Yes, but I don’t remember inviting anyone into my garden today.”
The two stared at each other until finally Nezha blinked. Then y/n hopped up into a victory stance.
“Ha! You blinked!”
“Wait-What?! I didn’t know it was a contest!” He protested, then he remembered he had a mission. “Forget that. Come with me or else I’ll drag you out by force!”
“You’ll have to catch me first!”
And like a rocket, y/n was off sprinting into the hedge maze. The lotus prince stammered as within seconds he had lost sight of the child. Then he got on his fire wheels and took after them.
It was a solid half hour of searching and even more time spent at dead ends. He was almost out of breath. For a seemingly regular mortal, this child was fast. It almost reminded him of himself...annoying.
There was a snapping of branches and a yelp as there was a thud on the stone ground.
Then, soft sniffles that became sobs, sobs that faded to sniffles again.
Nezha did his best to follow the sounds to the source. And when he did, he forgot all about trying to get the child home. They were sitting on the ground, holding one of their knees with a white knuckle grip. Nezha softened his gaze, concluding that they’d tripped and fallen whilst trying to evade him. When they saw him, they immediately reached for him. Out of instinct he picked them up and walked out of the maze, over to the pond again.
“Are you gonna kick me out?” Y/n mumbled. He smiled as he conjured up some bandaids for the small scrape on the child’s knee.
“You beat me, didn’t you? You can stick around for a little while.”
They got used to each other’s presence as the day passed along. Nezha found himself to be in a more easygoing state as y/n semi-cuddled up to him, talking with him about whatever happened to pass along in their minds.
By the time the sun was setting, they were relaxing under the shade of one of the trees in the garden, with y/n gently nestled into Nezha’s side.
