You ever had a temporary injury that reminds you of what used to be your chronic pain (before you got that miracle surgery to correct that pain) and now your brain panics and the chronic pain tingles but isn't actually there?
I feel like this is an experience few have.
Chronic pain: persistent pain that lasts longer than two weeks. Pain medication may or may not work to regress the pain, and pain returns after medication wears off. Your life is impacted by the pain (i.e., you avoid tasks, you take time off work, you struggle getting to sleep).
It may not be medically diagnosed, as the cause of the pain is usually the thing that gets the diagnosis.
I need genuine answers please. at what point can a reoccurring issue be classified as chronic pain? Does it have to be medically diagnosed? Is there some sort of criteria for this?
