To all Americans who will be Voting-Age in November

Register to vote. If you are not sure how depending on your state, go to vote.gov and other websites to find more information. It has been said time and again by wiser people than me, but Not Voting is Not an option. It is best to register as early as possible so you don't accidentally miss your deadline, which is different depending on what state you live in. Don't miss your first election because you don't register until it's too close to the election. College Students: apply for absentee ballots so you don't need to drive hours on a Tuesday to vote in your hometown. The same applies to anyone who can't vote in person at the polls. You are voting for more than which Individual you want to see in the Oval Office, you are voting for what policies and ideologies you want to see in the US Government. Even if you don't like the candidates, not voting is an automatic point for the worse candidate because there will be a supporter of theirs who will vote for them. Vote.

There are 117 members of congress running for re-election in 2024 who voted to overturn the 2020 election after Jan. 6th attack on our Capitol, and one ex-President who ran the coup.

If your vote didn’t count Republicans wouldn’t be spending billions to keep black, brown, and other marginalized people from voting. Anyone who wants a just, prosperous, safe, and peaceful America needs to vote for Biden/Harris. If you don’t then the Republican Nazis will make your life a living nightmare.

Picture if you will, the most racist man. We'll call him Racist McGee. Now racist McGee isn't just racist, he's sexist, he's homophobic, and what's worse, he votes. He will vote in every election no matter what and *you know* who he votes for, cause he won't shut up about it. Imagine his vote is a weight on a scale. His side will always go down if you don't show up to the poll to cancel it out with your vote, and statistically speaking, there's more normal people than their are Racist McGee's so if we all vote, we will win.

But let's just focus on you for a second. You deciding not to vote or deciding both sides are the same or being an edgy cool anarchist who doesn't play by the rules is the same thing as agreeing with Racist McGee. Because you didn't show up and his side goes down. Who knows, maybe you'll get lucky and he doesn't show up, but you won't know that until you show up too. SO YOU HAVE TO VOTE. You HAVE to ATLEAST nullify this asshole, and spread the word, because EVENTUALLY they run out of Racist McGee's and your side goes down no matter what, even if you aren't the tipping point.

But you have to remember, Racist McGee wins every time you don't vote.

And NO, I am NOT saying this because they are two old men. I am saying it because one of the old men has no business being given any serious attention or platform anywhere ever again. (If you think I am referring to Joe Biden, go fuck yourself with your false equivalences.)

I give zero shits about what ANY political pundit on ANY side has to say about this other than : "Why the fuck are we getting this bullshit before the goddam CONVENTIONS even take place?"

We ALL KNOW this spectacle will change NO ONE's mind.

ALL this is doing is making the voters of America feel even LESS empowered. It just feeds the cycle of cynicism.

Every single day I live in constant fear that trump will become president again because you stupid cunts on tumblr with no ounce of intelligence think that not voting for Biden will do any good. I'm sick to my stomach seeing this shit. You think that not voting absolves you from the consequences you think that not voting will make things better you do not understand that republicans will vote for trump no matter what and your inaction will lead to him winning. He cannot win. He cannot fucking win.

Given the extreme stakes of Project 2025 I need everyone to vote Democrat downballot. Everyone. Bring your friends to the ballot box, make a day of it. Have voting parties. Anything to get people energized.

I am dead serious though. If you know or love an lgbtq+ person, or if you care about continuing to have a choice or ability to push for change in this country, you need to vote Democrat downballot. The leftmost candidates must win as many races as possible. We have to completely smash the Republicans at the ballot box to get a chance at establishing ranked choice, to get abortion rights back, to keep Trump from getting more Justices, to secure the right to protest, and to protect and improve democracy.

The only way to move the overton window left where we want it is to keep voting left, persistently, consistently, doggedly.

Please vote. I know you’re depressed about it. I am too, but we have to vote.
