That moment when you start playing Spider Solitaire at like 6:42 PM and now it’s 9:37 PM and you don’t know what happened because there’s no way you played Spider Solitaire for almost 3 hours...
lots of interesting critiques about kaos but one of the not very valid ones to me is how they handled orpheus and eurydice’s storyline… like there is nothing about eurydice falling out of love with orpheus that is unfaithful to the myths. “but eurydice didn’t have a reason to leave orpheus, he didn’t even objectify her as his muse that much, she just has mommy issues!” well newsflash kiddo sometimes people just fall out of love for reasons they can’t explain. (holding to your individual identity while you build a life being considered a unified entity with someone else—socially, legally, and culturally speaking—is difficult. moreso if your partner is famous.)
but requited or not, the point is that orpheus’ love is real even though it’s futile (or futile even though it’s real)!!! and i enjoyed eurydice having her own mission on top of getting her husband to break the cosmic order 💕
