Summary: When Jeongguk accepted his job for the wealthy and young Kim Namjoon, he only expected to drive expensive cars and follow him around the world for business trips, with a fat pay check as a cherry on top. What he hadn’t expected was to hopelessly fall for the kind and clumsy boy hiding under the polished, charming man. And after years of Namjoon never having a woman by his side, not even as a plus one at a soirée or a vernissage or a gala, Jeongguk thought he could remotely stand a chance. Until you came along. From there, everything turned into you and Namjoon, Namjoon and you. Jeongguk’s place was looking at the two of you on the rear view mirror of those expensive cars he had loved so much. And then, everything changed. Once the jealousy subsided, Jeongguk started noticing all the reasons why Namjoon adored you — and he started adoring them himself, an invisible iron partition raising between the warmth and fondness he saw in the backseat, and his cold and lonely life. After watching you and Namjoon go through one year of milestones in your relationship, he realised it was time to let go.

A/N: Partition will come out in the next few months, and yes, I teased it a few days ago and I was ominously scared of posting it since it’s my first time venturing on this kind of writing (non-idol!Au and poly!Au). Being a quite possessive person (too much Scorpio on my chart), it was quite difficult for me to grasp the whole polyamory concept, until suddenly, Eureka! and I felt the need to write down this kind of divine revelation that had enlightened me.
My love goes to all those who supported and will support me in this adventure and to the magical @nervous-moon who brainstormed with me multiple hours (this series was supposed to be called Royals, however I changed my mind right when getting the banner ready. Plus, that banner kicked my ass. Took HOURS. We thought of multiple titles until inspiration struck me — more like spanked me but... yeah, not the point...). Agnese, thank you for reading multiple drabbles and drafts and thirsting and suffering through the planning process. I have no words to express how much I love you and care about you. I can’t wait until we hug again.

Author’s note: The main plot is mostly over. I might come back someday to mess around with these characters – mostly with drabbles or one shots, but for now I think I’d like to leave them some space, but also give myself space to choose where I want this story to go.
