Murder by Death / Ten little Indians
If you are, like me, a big fan of the Robert Moore Film Murder By Death (1976) you should have a look at Ten little Indians (1965), made after the Agatha Christie novel And Then There Were None (it's the US title, i won't write the original title, google it if you want to).
One is a testament to its time, which is also reflected in the original English title. Well made but with a lot of things, that you would criticize today. (And I'm sure, there were some critics back in the day)

The other is a parody of exactly this time and the style of these kind of crime stories. Ridiculous, a lot of humor and at the end, nothing makes sense (on purpose, believe me, the film itself explains this pretty well)

Today both films would no longer work or would never have been made in the first place. This is precisely why they are so important. They are a time stamp that you can be fascinated by but also learn from, especially in today's world.

Maybe you've heard of Columbo, Sherlock Holmes or Miss Marbles but what about Charlie Chan? Found this gem in a local store. Charlie Chan is the original of Sidney Wang from Murder by Death, played by Peter Sellers. Can't wait to watch this!
