I read in your pinned post about your fictional cg (I’ve seen fictional cgs mentioned a lot in other peoples accounts too) but I don’t really understand what it means/how it works.

hii! I more than happy to try and explain (gush about fictional cgs)!

I kinda see it as an extension of self-shipping (aka shipping yourself/ having a romantic relationship with a fictional character) though not everyone who has a fictional cg is apart of the self-shipping community, the two concepts just share similar aspects.

The little may feel attached to a certain character from whatever media they like and view them as a parent figure that they look up to and/or feel a sense of comfort towards!

Its kinda like playing pretend, everyone will play with their fictional cgs differently, some may imagine or act as if they are in the same room, and others may just watch media with that character in it when regressed. We all know that they don't exist, but pretending brings us comfort and provides a way for us to have a cg without needing to find another person to be a cg (this changes per person as you can have both a fictional cg and a real person cg, or some littles may not even want an real person cg and prefer fictional cgs instead).

For me, my dada helps a lot when i feel overwhelmed through running his hands through my hair, I know that he doesnt exist and isn't actually in the room with me, but just thinking about it can help me get more relaxed. Thats kinda how it works even though it does differ for everyone.
