maximus fury versus quincy rockefeller.
money might not buy happiness, but it can get you damn near close to it. at the very least, that's what quincy believes. he bought his way into the federation, and he wasn't afraid to admit it. he had the cash to spend, and he was gonna spend it. getting to kick some ass on a regular basis was a nice perk. maximus, though, wasn't impressed by any of it.
maximus was more than ready, willing, and able to wipe the smug look on his face. he was never a fan of people putting themselves on too high a pedestal. confidence was one thing. arrogance was a whole other thing entirely. so getting a chance to get his hands on him as something that made him lick his chops in anticipation.
the match went just as you would think it would go. maximus was the bigger of the two, the more experienced of the two, and clearly the more determined of the two. took a special joy out of slamming his face into the mat and knocking him out for the count. he pinned him with ease and made sure to leave him tied up in the ropes before heading backstage.

maximus fury versus eric perkins.
you can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time. when it comes to eric perkins, he loves to have a good time, and he's not above being a little devious to make sure that the win comes out on his side. he and lance? they're two peas of the same pod.
however, maximus had been playing the same game for a whole lot longer than either of the party boys had even thought about getting in the ring. some people called him a menace backstage, if he sets his sights on you. it's all jokes and fun for the general population. but for the people that specifically earn his ire, his 'antics' easily get kicked up about five or six notches.
even if lance were to try and interfere, fury had friends in the locker room just as well. bart's never been one to shy away from putting people in their place and if there's a brawl outside the ring, maximus can easily use that distraction and slam eric's head into the mat and knock him out.

considering the history between these two, this would be more of a 'rookie-in-training' kind of match than anything else. with how much the man was known to play around backstage, he was also well aware of the kind of effect he had on his fans and the like. if he could get a random nerd to follow his dreams and come out of his shell, he was more than willing to take him under his wing and help get him where he wanted to be. after all, the kid had his mark on him. he wasn't about to be connected to a loser, no matter how much of a fan he was. that was just a line he wasn't able to cross. so he would be hard on chester and make sure he got put all the way through the wringer. he would help him find his style and then beat him down until he was able to hold his own. power moves. high-flying moves. technical moves. submissions. crowd work. any and all of it. he wasn't about to let any stone go unturned. so the fact that the kid managed to keep him on his back for a full three seconds. that was a great step in the right direction. he still was green as all hell, but he was showing that there was something there that he could work with. he'd be a champion before long with the man in his corner. winner via pinfall :: chester chastain

that was not coincidental. the others tried to check the railways to see if there was some way to escape and the binary monster immediately attacks phil with all the eggs the parents left in his care minutes prior? clearly a distraction to prevent them from checking out the rails for some escape from the island
