"you can't chew on that, doll." jungkook chuckles amused, carefully taking the plastic necklace out from between your lips even though you whine a little about it. "no, don't get fussy now puppy. You've been so good the entire time." he praises, playfully bouncing you a bit on his thigh where you're sitting. He already knows you're gonna feel embarrased and overall bad for slipping in such a bad time- forcing him to take you with him to the music video shooting, even though he himself had no issue with it. It was mainly society that forced you into believing the way you behaved was bad and wrong- even if you had no control over it.
And Jungkook himself could only see you as absolutely adorable anyways.
Ripping open a pack of Jjondeugi, he instead gives that to you to nibble on, well aware of your oral fixation especially in stressful situations like this. Your half-floppy puppy ears constantly move towards any noise, as you try and focus on everything around you. He can't help but pet one of them, soft fur between his fingers while you whine again- this time it's only playful banter however, as you shake your head in joking protest, making him laugh, and your tail wag.
"doesn't it get overwhelming when she's.. You know, like this?" Charlie asks, and Jungkook needs a moment to put his thoughts into words the english speaking artist would be able to understand.
"not much." he says, brushing some hair out of your face as your leg starts to wiggle, body getting antsy since you're unable to roam around freely. "she- uh.. Very sweet. I don't care." he explains, and the fellow artist nods.
"yeah I have a friend who owns a dog hybrid and a puppy one as well. His puppy is a lot harder to handle- never stays still even when the dog is watching over them!" he laughs, making Jungkook chuckle as well. "but she seems super sweet. Must be hard to stay still like that." he says, already well aware he shouldn't touch you. You've squirmed away uncomfortably already when he'd approached you at the start of the shooting- with Jungkook explaining that you didn't like physical contact from anyone but him when you were like this. The american artist had understood thankfully, surprised how relatively calm you still stayed.
Jungkook knows he's got lucky with you.
While everyone around him thought it was already a bad idea to adopt a hybrid, it got even worse when he'd admitted that you weren't just a dog hybrid, but a puppy- basically a hybrid who often falls into a non-verbal headspace to cope with too much stress or sensory overload. It's a rare thing, and doesn't even need to be a result of trauma- in hybrids, it's simply genetics that sometimes make it happen. But even though he himself had his doubts, he does have to admit that he'd won the lottery with you.
You never get too much for him to handle, even deep in your headspace just like now. You're just the sweetest thing- how could he not love you? How could anyone not love you?
The rest of the shooting goes well, translator playing around with you while Jungkook finishes up the last scenes with his co-artist, eager to go home with you just as much as you are. You're an odd couple, that's for sure-
But you fit together like perfect puzzle pieces.

You're alone.
You know Jungkook might be back any minute now, but for the moment, you're alone. Maybe he's gonna be gone for some more hours? You're not sure. You've never been able to tell time by feeling alone very well.
Your caretaker, a student working part time, had left you a few minutes prior. She's not supposed to, you know that from your simple routine- because you're not supposed to be alone. You can totally survive by yourself, you're not stupid- but there's a lot of things you just shouldn't do on your own, as any second of the day, you could slip into your headspace.
And right after she'd left you- you did.
It was probably the fact that she left you alone that you slipped- mind needing comfort and reassurance as you're not used to being all on your own with no one else around. The apartment seems bigger- has the ceiling always been this high up?
You're hungry.
But you're not allowed to cook by yourself. Jungkook doesn't like that because you could cut yourself, or burn your fingers, all things that have happened before. And you don't want to be bad.
But then again, aren't you already being bad by being alone?
Slipping into your boots, you grab your coat and leave the apartment. You can't stay alone, that's bad- so you'll go and find him instead, easy!
Or maybe not. Since when has Seoul been this busy?
You don't even realize how long you've been walking around until the sky turns dark, sun slowly setting. Nighttime is scary alone. Maybe you should go home instead-
Except, where is home?
When Jungkook comes home and isn't immediately greeted with the sight of you, he already knows something is wrong. No one's there- everything seemingly abandoned, TV still running, a letter on the table.
"Sorry, something important came up. She was alright with me leaving her, so I hope it was okay!"
No, it was absolutely not okay.
Your boots and coat are both missing, giving him all the clues he needs to realize what you might've done. This is bad - you're already bad at navigating your surroundings when you're fully conscious. Who knows how much time he has until you slip and lose that ability entirely.
He's trying to stay calm, but its not easy.
He's walking from spot to spot around Seoul he could think of where you might be, but you're not there. There's no trace of you anywhere, and your collar is still at home, so he can't track your tag with his phone either. How is he supposed to find you now?
You're lost, and he can't help.
When his phone rings, he can't help but be a little frustrated in answering it- before he hears what the voice on the other side has to say.
"Lost something?" Yoongi chuckles, a TV in the background as he talks into the phone. "I don't know why she was running around alone, but uhm.. you can pick her up at my place at any point, just so you know." He tells his bandmate.
"Where the hell was she?" Jungkook asks, sighing as be releases a breath he didn't even realize he was holding. "I searched everywhere! The fucking caretaker just left her alone..!" He groans, while making his way to his bandmate's apartment. "I'll pick her up right away." He simply says, before he hangs up, walking into the elevator leading up to the apartment where you wait for him.
And as soon as he rings the doorbell, and Yoongi opens- you spot him too eagerly running into him, excited that he's here to bring you home.
Completely oblivious for the moment, how dire the situation really was.
You'll realize it later, probably, once you're a bit more clear in your head, but for now, he simply brings you home, pampers you in the bathtub, before he wraps you in a blanket and keeps you on his lap.
You laugh, as you both sit in front of the TV. "What's so funny, puppy?" He chuckles too, as you look up at him, tail wagging.
"Clingy." You comment, and he smiles, nodding.
"I am. Very." He agrees. "Cause I want my puppy close all the time." He explains, and at that, you wiggle around to free your arms to hug him close.
He really does want you close all the time.
And from now on, the collar stays on.
