Snowflakes

I hear the wind whistling;

Are you there?

Locked in the dark wishing;

Please be there!

For time is fleeting like smoke;

A swift one second's all it took.

To capture a heart with a hook;

Then break it hard as you could.

Thickly wrapped in consuming gloom, I'd be dancing;

To the candence of your voice softly singing.

And as darkness lurks, I'd start collecting;

Snowflakes in my pocket and do my grieving.

For as the wind whistles, I know you are coming.

Hear your footsteps so loud from where I'm standing.

See you put out the flames, oh it started snowing;

Locked deeply in the void, hear me silently screaming.

Though I smell your scent, you're never there.

Your ghost-it keeps haunting me everywhere.

In my solitude, I struggle to win this fight.

Yet easily you bend me, I'm no match for your might.

In the verge of it all-the coldness and the storm;

I try to reach out for you, break your heart of stone.

Enveloped in sulkiness, in your wrath I am drowned.

Quavering in fright, how could you leave me all alone?

For I long so much to have you fill the void.

Deeply besotted, do you need to avoid?

This austere love and passion burning fiercely for you?

Cover me with snowflakes, I will crawl back to you!
