Questions for the Boy Who Brushed the Sun
To he who tried to fly beyond the sky, I will always wonder what you had seen? In those moments before you came to die. Did you think too much of father’s machine? What was it like to try and touch the sun? What were the things you would have tried to change? Were you engaging in some childish fun? Or were you treating the sky as your stage? As you fell and were scorched by wax and wind, Did fear consume you? Or did you embrace The fall, because some will say that you grinned. The stories say, “he tried to reach for space.” But, I will seek my answers, nonetheless. How can I avoid your same recklessness?
so...yeah. I wrote a Shakespearean Sonnet about Icarus.
I think that one of the aspects about Greek Mythology few people talk about is that Minos became one of the three judgers of the Underworld after his death, whereas Ariadne died and was in the Underworld for a while before Dionysus took her from this realm. So imagine betraying your father and running from home with a man that you now despise, and then years later when you die you discover that: "Hey, what a suprise! My father ACTUALLY became an Underworld judger and now he's going to judge my entire life and decide where I'm going to spend my afterlife. Yay..."
Did they talk after that? Did they reconcile? Is Minos happy that she's married with a god? How does he feel knowing that both Ariadne and Phaedra had a thing for Theseus AND suffered because of him? We will never know.
Headcanon: The main reason why Theseus wasn't freed from the Underworld earlier and had to wait for Heracles to free him was because Minos was angry on him too, due to what he has done to his daughter:
Persephone: That one guy did nothing wrong. Why does he has to be tortured by the Erinyes as well?
Hades: He followed his stupid friend. That's enough of a crime.
Persephone: He made an oath. He had no choice but to follow him.
Hades: He also kidnapped Helen of Sparta.
Persephone: You kidnapped me too.
Hades: I did that legally.
Minos: Do you know Ariadne?
Persephone: Of course I do.
Minos: He abandoned her on the Naxos Island.
Persephone: ...
Persephone: I'll ask Tisiphone to pull out his teeth next time.

I personally looove Minos x Sisyphus, they’re so awesome sauce
Side note; I firmly believe that Minos is the brains and Sisyphus is the Bronze.

For this prompt I chose requiem, though this drawing is also a tribute to other minos prime songs (glory, cold winds, order)
I love every song in ultrakill but minos primes' ones just hit different for me I suppose. Its like you can feel his sorrow and grief in them
Anyways just a heads up but i'll probably not do a lot of the prompts, or at all tbh...im just doing this for fun so i might be more lax about drawing them consistently
