Kids Who Dont Remember A World Without Batman - Tumblr Posts

You have been assigned a four issue mini comic [<100 pages]. It can be about whatever you want. The only restriction is that it has to be about a minor support character [IE character friends, character parents, reoccuring minor villains, reoccuring civilians]. Which character do you choose, and what story would you want to tell in a four issue mini?

For transparency, I'm asking this question to a bunch of people because I want to see all the ideas everyone has. See what everyone would do.

oh my god this is such a fun question. i thought on it most of the day and i think it would be really fun to do a story focused on a goon in gotham.

i'd want to really dig into the "crime is necessary economy" narrative, get dark and gritty with the corruption within the city, etc etc. i think it'd be fun to have batman and the rogue gallery as these characters who loom over the narrative of these random people in gotham trying to survive.

i don't know, i think a gotham story focused on and form the point of view of normal people in gotham who are heavily affected by everything going on would be such a fun contrast to the stories we get focused on the batfamily.

give me a goon who can't get a job that pays enough money to support her and her kids so gets a job in red hood's gang. give me a goon who can't really do anything else with his bad leg and disability isn't enough so he does inventory for the penguin. give me a couple of kids who are stealing food and jumping from shelter to shelter that all these goons are trying to make sure get out of gotham and become something better than this.

idk if this all makes sense but now it's rotting my brain lol
