A thick stack of files and papers fell heavily onto the table top, the furniture squeaking dangerously under the sudden weight.
The chair behind it scraped as it was pulled away from the table. The seat was then taken, the figure covered in shadows. Crossing one leg over the other, the tip of his brown leather shoe was the only item that could be seen in the dim lighting of the interrogation room.
"I've brought all these papers, but I doubt that you will need to look through them, zansu."
A woman hummed softly in agreement from the opposite end of the room. Her hands gripped tightly at her exposed upper arms; whether it was from nerves or the coldness of the room, the detective couldn't tell.
He placed a tape recorder onto the table, clicking a few of its switches before he cleared his throat. He glanced at his phone as he read out the date, sitting up straighter in his seat.
"This is Detective Iyami, and in front of me now, I have [Y/N] [L/N]. Now, you've already sworn the oath, correct?"
She nodded, a hushed 'yes' falling from her lips as her eyes focused on the few scattered pictures on the table in front of her. They were in black and white, but she remembered all the vivid colours the day those were taken.
"Then let's just jump into it. I need you to recount to me every single detail โ from the minute you woke up to the minute you were brought here, to this room. Everything is crucial in this investigation. Especially if you wanna save their lives, okay, zansu?"
[Y/N] nodded again. The memories of what had happened over the past few months were swirling in her mind, images of their faces popping up in quick succession. One in particular seemed to linger before her eyes. Her heart stung for that brief moment.
"Well," taking a deep breath, she settled herself into her seat a little more comfortably, her heeled foot dangling over her knee. "The day this all started, I remember waking up in a dark room..."

A quick sketch of Osomatsu-san legendary character, but female version
Iyami going to France Trump towers was the funniest thing in the episode I was laughing out loud when he showed Chibita this photo!ย
๐ตWe all live in a yellow submarNEET๐ต
The stuff madeย references to yellowย submarine in the new OP so I thought it was a good idea to draw a crossover of these 2. I need to stop thinking.ย
Iyami and Chibita as The chief blue meanie and Max.ย
Dayon as Jeremy.ย
Day 13: ย Character that you warmed up to
I still have mixed feelings about Iyami, but I do like him more than I did on my initial viewing of Osomatsu-san. ย Not because of his style of comedy or his personality, but because of his history as a character: ย you know all that crap he spouts about being the rightful protagonist, and how much better things were when he was the main character? ย It sounds like heโs just talking out of his ass, but if you look at the previous adaptions of the series ... Well, it turns out heโs actually 100% right: ย Back in the 1960โฒs, Iyami was a genuine cultural icon in Japan. ย He was almost like the Japanese equivalent of Donald Duck; he wasnโt meant to be a huge character, but he was such a surprise hit with both kids and adults that his role was expanded, even overshadowing the main characters of his show and beyond. ย He was so popular that they actually did make him the main character in the 1980โฒs adaption of Osomatsu-kun: ย Yeah, heโs not full of shit, he really was the main character back then! ย Make no mistake, he was still a scumbag, but he was kind of fun to watch as he tried and failed to swindle folks out of their money. ย He came up with a good scheme once in a while, and he showed a kinder side in some episodes too. ย
Now looking back on his personality in Osomatsu-san, a lot of things make sense when you consider his previous role. ย His petty, spiteful personality in -San suddenly seems very justified: ย watchingย the characters he stole the spotlight from suddenly steal the spotlight back all of these years later, itโs no wonder heโs become so angry and bitter towards them. ย Over the years his style of humor has aged horribly, and he canโt seem to figure out why: ย what used to be considered a hilarious gag is now considered a stale, outdated punchline. ย Thatโs where his bitterness comes from: confusion. ย Heโs a product of his time, and adjusting to the modern setting doesnโt come as easy to him as it did to all of the other characters, and that just makes him even angrier. ย It both explains his personality and makes for an interesting arc for him to overcome, something that I hope to see explored a bit in Season 2.ย
Previous Day: ย Here.
Next Day: ย Here.
Challenge Start: ย Here.
Welp, I said I would draw Iyami in drag. ย So here he is! ย Sure the Matsus all got snazzy Drag Queen outfits in Hesokuri Wars recently, but come on we all know who the real queen is! ย This bucktoothed beauty was doing it before it was cool.
And no, Iโm not actually going to count this as a prompt. ย This is just for something to make me laugh and help me forget that no one thinks my art is worth requesting apparently. ย Count this as bonus apology art for taking so long between prompts, I guess.
iyami and osomatsu because they're stupid and i love them (THIS IS NOT A SHIP!!!!)
3-4 pics translation:
osomatsu: AHAGAHAHAH IYAMI LOOK I'M BALANCING A BEER ON MY HEAD
iyami: good thing he has grown up and wanting to hit him on the head doesn't count as a child abuse anymore, zansu
a little doodle of iyami and little osomatsu since i've started watching osomatsu kun (1988)
i'm on the second episode so i don't know much but i adore this iyami even more than i adore ososan one, he really is charming and iconic
painfully familiar au: atsushi and iyami
