“heeseung, why did you think stargazing on your rooftop on a winter night was a good idea?”
the crisp night breeze bites at your skin, the chilling sensation causing you to shiver. your teeth chattered as you pulled the thick duvet over yourself, further snuggling next to heeseung as a source of warmth. the truth was, you had enjoyed this night a lot more than you’d like to let on, and time had passed by quickly. it always does when you’re with heeseung. you both created a definitive ranking of all the pixar movies and had a debate on what the best pizza topping was (you learnt that heeseung is a pineapple on pizza enthusiast), but you both also pondered about what life had in store for each of you.
you turned on your phone, checking the time. 10:43pm. approximately 4 hours had passed since you both had settled on his rooftop.
heeseung glances at you. “i don’t know. i just thought it’d be pretty,” he shrugs, giving you a soft smile. his eyes move down to your lips, before giving you a gentle kiss.
you smile back at him, asking, “what was that for?”
he shrugs again, smirking, “i don’t know. i just thought you looked pretty.”
you shake your head at his response in mock disappointment, the two of you fading into another moment of silence. silence was always comfortable with heeseung, never awkward. you both gaze up at the night sky above your heads, immersing yourself in the bright stars that speckled it.
heeseung interrupts the silence, “hey, y/n?”. you hum in response, directing your gaze back to him.
“have i told you lately i’m grateful you’re mine?”
“did you just directly quote that from bruno major’s nothing?”
“you bet i did. but don’t you think it matches us so well?,” he asks, before singing, “dumb conversations, we lose track of time. have i told you lately i’m grateful you’re mine?”
you laugh at his cheesy antics, shaking your head in mock disappointment once again, “be more original next time, hee.”
he simply just grins at your statement, rolling his eyes, “you know you liked it, y/n.”
he definitely wasn’t wrong about that.
