Ok can I just rant a little bit about how amazing Yuri Plisetsky is? Because he is. This boy is 15-16 years old and has been working his butt off ever since he was a child in figure skating. He’s his family only source of income and thats a lot of weight on any teenagers shoulders much less one so young. And while we’re on the topic of family his grandpa is the only member of his family that we ever see meaning either he was abandoned as a child to his grandfather or his parents are dead. Either way its extremely traumatic. And despite how much I love Victor he messed up. He promised Yurio that he would choreograph a routine for him and then left him when Yuri K. came along. At one point we see him living with his ballet instructor which was probably caused by an income issue. Either he can't get enough money to support him and his grandpa or their are other circumstances like his grandpa being hospitalized. This boy was willing to put his body and soul on the line for a chance at winning the Grand Prix. He works so hard and is so young competing against competitors who are in their 20′s. And somehow through his hardworking and skill he made it. He came out on top. Despite being abandoned by his parents and Victor, despite being replaced by Yuri K., despite being so young, despite everything he won. Gosh I love this character so much and I hope we see a lot more of him in season 2.
