Thinking about how Harlequin’s Son / Michael Maybe was conceived of as having been on Obsidian rogue at some point or another- queer themes and family ties aside, I think it would be really funny if DC used this to canonize humor as Obsidian’s primary weakness.

No, I’m not joking.

His powers are deeply tied to his emotions, and his ability to torment people with their own soul/sins/fears/traumas is one of the most terrifying in the DC universe. How hilarious would it be if the best way to keep him from doing so…was to make him laugh?

You know, it occurs to me that neither Jennie nor Todd got Alan’s villainous taste in partners… the ambiguity of Todd’s relationship with Ian aside, his two canonical love interests/crushes are Al Rothstein, certified 10/10 himbo, and Damon Matthews, quite possibly the only Non- Corrupt DA in that city. Similarly, Hank was an absolute Good Boy during his relationship with Jen, after which she dated Kyle Rayner- you’d be better with Donna, Jennie-Lynn, but I can’t say your taste is all that bad.

Anyway, this why I think it is only right that Michael atleast sleep with several outright supervillains (Cameron Mahkent and Gentleman Ghost come to mind). You know, give Alan a taste of his own medicine in full.

Absolutely loosing my crap at the idea of Alan Scott entering a gay club, locking eyes with his half naked, glitter- clad oldest (Michael), turning around, and immediately doubling both of their trauma by noticing his other son (Todd) strolling in with his fiancé shirtless in a collar. Damon has to negotiate a three- way division of all bars and clubs in the area before anyone can look each other in the eye again

Then Alan walks in on Guy hooking up with Lobo at the next one :/
