Every time I look at Normal I just see Grant as a teen:
Unable to express emotions? Check.
Crush on a person who (probably in Normal’s case) doesn’t like them back? Check.
Hiding emotions? Check.
Not thinking you’re good enough? Check.
Daddy issues? Check.

It’s nice that the kids in Dungeons and Daddies were all able to make the best of their situation and do things they like. Terry spent time with his dad, Nick got high, the twins became cult leaders and watched people fight to the death while plotting to unleash a eldritch horror onto the world, and Grant played fortnight.

If irish twins are kids born with the (almost) same birthday a year apart, what would jaygrant's kids qualify as? Because i DEFINETLY headcanon that they'd go into labor together
Jaygrant is the type of male omega/ male omega couple that would get each other pregnant on accident. “We’re both omegas we don’t need protection” <- famous last words. Bonus if it’s something that’s almost medically impossible so they’re just extremely unlucky
I INCLUDED THIS IN THE LAST ASK I GOT ABOUT THEM IN THE OMEGAVERSE!!! They don't even think about it part of the reason they started hooking up is because neither of them can get each other pregnant. Grant was already in the 10% of people that suppressants never fully worked for - combination of a meta gene and his heats are particularly heavy anyway - and Jason was advised not to take them because of the adverse effects they can have with all the chemicals he gets exposed to.
Jason thinks it's weird when he doesn't get his heat as usual, and he gets nervous the longer time passes without it. Grant calls him about it, he's having the same problem. Double weird because their last heats had synced up and they assumed they'd keep getting them at the same time.
Before any of the side effects show up, he knows something is different. Not about himself but about Grant. Something about his smell... something warm and homey that softens the smell of hazelnut and woodsmoke Jason has become so accustomed to. It's all he can do to keep himself from burying his nose in Grant's scent gland for the next few weeks, Grant is delighted, he almost obsessively covers Jason in his scent - it's a habit stereotypically associated with Alphas but Grant's possessive streak could blow any knotheaded alpha out of the water.
They can hardly stand to be away from each other, Grant completely stops taking jobs in favor of patrolling with Jason.
It's when the morning sickness starts, for both of them, that they finally drag themselves to Leslie's clinic. They're not sure what to expect, maybe a stomach virus one of them got and spread to the other or a new side effect of drinking the tap water. They're not expecting to BOTH be pregnant. There is no doubt in either of their minds about the parentage at least, but that's really the least of their problems.
Honestly, I don't even know/think Grant really fits in Knights & Dragons at this point.
Maybe if they included him in the first place, but I get why they didn't. He’d kind of just be another character and since Slade doesn't have a connection with the Teen Titans, there's not much use for him and he’d kind of just a waste of a background character for how little he fits in the storyline of K&D. He’d kind of just get the way, or get largely ignored unfortunately. Which is sad, but I'm fine with it.
I just can't really see him not being Adeline’s and Slade’s child. I don't know who else possibly could be his mother if not some random woman they would have to make up. Which, I don’t really like. Feels a bit bulky and like, wtf. Kind of forced. Like it happened once, and now again? Like I get it, dude was in the military. They do that kind of stuff, especially when they’re young, but I also just don’t think it really fits in with the time line.
And Adeline, she's a bit old at this point to be having another child. I mean, she could, but slim chance.

Adeline and Slade, (after Slade comes back to life) rekindle their love. And maybe a bit too well because despite the low chances of Adeline actually becoming pregnant at her age, she does, because because of the low chances they were like: “All hell with protection!” Which then precedes to spawn Lil’ Grant. Suuure, he’s supposed to be the oldest and first born child of Adeline and Slade, but we already deviated from canon the second he wasn’t born in the first place, so it's not that bad.
But that's like, the only way I can see him fitting into the already canon Knights & Dragons unless you do a mini lil soft rewrite of the movie.
Or; they could adopt. And I know I just said I can’t imagine Grant’s biological mother as anyone else than Adeline, for some reason him being neither Slade’s or Adeline’s child is better for me? Does that make sense? I think it does. I wouldn’t know how to explain it, but I think it makes sense.
Deathstroke: Knights & Dragons is just such a fun movie and idea with how they approached and did Slade’s origin story that just opens up for a lot of new events especially if you consider the Teen Titans still at some point existing in the world.
Like Joseph joins the Teen Titans. Adeline and Slade (or just Adeline if Joseph joins BEFORE Slade is revealed to be alive to the rest of the family.) are skeptical especially with what happened with his first school and H.I.V.E.
Even Joseph is a bit nervous but also has a good feeling about this place. Plus, there aren’t that many places one can go to learn more about their super powered self.
Rose will also join the Titans later, as I believe she could/would go on to adventure to figure out who she really is as a person since from an early age, she’s just been the H.I.V.E Queen, so who is Rose Worth? Does she even still go by Worth? Or does she choose to go by her father’s name? Or even, with Slade’s supposed death, does Adeline adopt the young girl? Even then, does she choose to see Adeline as just a guardian, or someone she can see as a mother? It’s not she’s replacing her birth mother, right?
Gosh, the possibilities, I wish we got the 12 episodes we were supposed to get. 😔
When Slade finally meets the Teen Titans, he is the most dotting father. Showing pictures of Joseph as a baby/just younger Joey. Bragging about his feats like won soccer games, his art skill, how smart he is, ect.
But what about Rose? Throughout the movie, she never referred to Slade as her father. She refers to him by name, because she doesn’t accept him as her father, believing he is uncaring and abandoned her mother and her. And when she does finally accept him, seeing how much he cares about his family, she loses him.
When Slade comes back, things are a bit awkward for everyone, but everyone is happy nevertheless.
But things are especially awkward for Rose. While Joshph has a father to return. She’s basically meeting this man for the first time all over again.
Slade wants to make up for lost time, but with Rose not even knowing who she is still, it’s hard. Especially when as Slade is bragging about Joseph to the Titans.
There’s a hint of jealousy there, but she understands.
And someday, they’ll get there. They’ll become close. She’ll call him dad for the first time and he’ll smile and joy will swell in his chest.
If Grant was alive, he’d definitely be like: “I’m the oldest.” Either for annoying reasons or for protection reasons but than get immediately made fun of because he’s the only one without enhancements or powers.
Au where Boss Kicks and Grant don’t work their shit out, so Lincoln does Grant and Marcos taxes wrong and gets the IRS on their asses

Over arching thought of Season two
fuck every body trying to convince all of the season 2 daddies to accept Willy stanpler as an alley!!! He really kidnapped some 12 year olds, endangered their lives, killed Glen Infront of everybody, and tried to fucking NUKE EVERYONE. He really destroyed their worlds, AGAIN and AGAIN in front of their face and expects them to just deal with it.
And then for those kids to live in a world with the doodler knowing that it was their fault and spending their whole childhood trying to kill this LITERAL GOD. Imagine being 17 and having your brains constantly scrambled by horrible lovecraftian baddies. The odsey-dads fought tooth and nail for their kids to go back home, that was their role model, that was their standard for being a good dad. Then trying to be a parent yourself after getting abused so hard by the world. Not having the time you need to heal only compounds that shit. when there's a literal god out there trying to kill you and your spouse and your kid and everyone you love while having your sanity constantly challenged, you can't expect someone in that position to make logical, ethical decisions. My gut turns at the thought of them switching the forgot relm and earth but I feel like my parents probably would have done the same if given the option.
I'm conclusion: I want more content with season one kids teen years. And for them to be cut some fucking slack!!

Dungeons and Daddies: Dark Sunday Special
Lark, Sparrow, Terry and Grant get a sense that there's an incursion point at the San Dimas mall. They have to fight their way through vicious crowds, Doodler monsters, and insane prices before the incursion pimple pops.
i need to put all three of these pictures in a single post. this is significant. this matters. this is why i exist
