He’s been at this for hours now, fingers furiously working his keyboard, throwing suggestions/commands at his friends through an expensive headset.  

“Yah, we’re almost there…just stay focused…”  

Another encouragement is grumbled through his pouted lips as his hands make another commotion against his laptop.  

A fond smirk caresses your mouth and, you shake your head, positively endeared by his dedication to his game.  

You don’t want to interrupt him, you know playing video games for hours on end, shot gunning ramen like tic tacs is a luxury for him and, he deserves that. You’d be lying though, if you said that your side of the bed was aching for him a little bit. The bed you shared with Jungkook is massive, far too big for one person and, spacious enough for both of you to starfish across the surface comfortably.

Jungkook prides himself on an endless number of things, except for one.

Aside from somehow keeping up his grades in his classes each semester so as to not get kicked out of college all while maintaining both his main and side YouTube channels and nightly streaming, along with posting regularly, remembering to eat and groom himself in between long periods of editing videos, and calling his mother as frequently as he can to make sure she knows he isn’t dead, there is no greater gratification in life than knowing he absolutely owns any video game he’s given. It’s a common known fact that Jungkook is impeccable at any sort of “let’s play,” from Minecraft to Fortnite to Sims 4 to Resident Evil and any brand new release at any given time — but Overwatch is where he lays his claim and, yes, Jungkook would marry Widowmaker in a heartbeat for all the gracious wins that character has given him.

That’s a given, though, especially to his viewers on his stream, and his subscribers, and Jimin who is currently whooping in Jungkook’s ear through the headset after Jungkook had just managed to headshot the remaining four-out-of-six enemies on the opposite team in a matter of seconds.

There were a lot of things about Jungkook that you didn’t learn until you were official. Like the fact he rarely matches his socks unless they’re cool socks. In fact, the worst “trait” you’ve learned about Jungkook in the past year is how easily distracted he can get. Nothing crazy, just tiny actions, like forgetting to eat for three hours because he refuses to leave his Wii until he can beat the guys in three rounds of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in the Mushroom Kingdom stage. Strangely specific, but it’s Jungkook and you’ve long since learned he’s an enigma.
