Also I hc that when Ed is in his later teens he has a bunch of acne scars/acne; So very silly.

i been watching fma 03 im on episode 31 i think. wrath........ my boy.... WRATHHHH..................... IZUMI HHEHGHGEHHRUHIUINNMNMMN

I'm the opposite. I want my favorite characters to die. I want them to go through such heartbreak that they completely shut down. I want them to go through such horrendous things.

Just so I can go "awe look at that silly guy :3" and then it's just the most tragic character you've ever seen.

That and I want to fucking bawl my eyes out when they do die/go through shit

"are you okay?" no I got way too attached to a fictional character and now they're dead

I js had a dream someone asked you on here if homunculi slept, and you gave a really confident and decisive answer with a source. But as soon as I tried clicking on the link you posted the dream ended

That's amazing bc that is something I'd do, and will do rn because why not.

In FMA 03 its practically said that homunculi don't need to sleep, the only acception being Wrath because he's partially human or something of the sort; It's also why he has to eat, drink, and so on. The other homunculi don't have to, Gluttony just *wants* to eat but there's no actual need and they don't need to eat philosopher's stones but they do it for the regenerative purposes and whatnot. I have no idea about FMAB, but if I had to *assume* then the answer would also be that they wouldn't.

I can definitely link the ep that Ed and Lust talk in (Ep 46, Human Transmutation, 2003) and Ep 29, The Untainted child (Wrath Centric Ep) if you want though in PMs/DMs; But I can't say I've read articles in regards to FMA/B at all, I've just watched the show and whatnot so im basing my claims off that. Therefore I can't say much about Brotherhood, as I still need to rewatch it.

Here's the quote from FMA 03 I'm talking about in regards to Lust and Ed:

Ed: "I'm the one who should be asking why. Why do you wanna be human? You guys are immortal aren't you, and you don't even age at all from what I can tell. You can't be hurt, and you have powers no human bring can ever top. So why should I believe you when you say you want to give all that up!?"

Lust: "You don't know how cruel you're being, do you? Alright, then why do you want your brother to be returned to the flesh? He's practically immortal too. It's the same thing, Edward."

So it doesn't really talk about sleep, but since it brings up Al I think it's including sleep. As Al can't/doesn't need to exhibit the needs that are typically preformed by living beings, eating, sleeping, breathing, aging, and so on; So it's generally safe to assume that homunculi don't need to sleep but probably can, save for Wrath who does need to sleep. Though in Ep 29 he says that "everyone's dead" when referring to sleep, which Ed then corrects him on but I think he ignores because he's just silly like that.

That's all I got for the topic though lol.

So I have some really mixed feelings overall about FMA CoS but one part I do love is all the Wrath scenes. :) 

We get to see Winry in her lovely CoS outfit and she’s visiting Izumi’s grave - poor Winry always seems to be visiting graves. Izumi’s been dead for some time. Her death must have had quite the impact on Wrath as he had some extremely conflicting feelings for her - did he hate her, resent her, love her, fear her, wanted to love/hate her, wanted her to love/hate him - it’s a real mess. 

Either way, she’s dead and that leaves Wrath more alone than ever. Wrath’s earliest memories is of his own creation, of being created and then abandoned and then trapped inside the gate. The gate, which he describes as dark. It’s his greatest fear, to be left alone in that dark prison again. He wants to experience life. Upon waking up he alienates the humans and finds some sense of belonging with the other homunculi - but its fake and short lived as they soon all die too. And Izumi is still too hard to deal with so he runs away form her, feeling like he’s better off on his own. 

But then he experiences a bit of kindness. 

Winry builds him some automail limbs, the ones she was designing for Ed. (A sad thing really, effectively giving away a gift she really put her heart into - to what extent did she believe he was dead?) Wrath doesn’t stick around beyond that but he knows now that this is something of a safe haven for him. 

Izumi’s death will have meant something to him and therefore its not too surprising to find him back in Risembool, sitting near her grave. He’s not quite able to ask for help though, he sticks to the shadows and when Winry does see him, the damage on his automail is extremely obvious, as is his desolate expression.

Winry is quite touchy about damages to her automail typically, but as this brief scene shows, her rage is borne out of concern, showing them how much she cares that they take care of the automail she’s made for them. When confronted with the desolate Wrath, who is so wary of others and so emotionally fragile, she just gently smiles as him, doesn’t ask how he feels about Izumi, and invites him to come and get some maintenance. In short, she’s kind and thoughtful. 

Now, the damage to Wrath’s automail is quite obvious and it could have been a long time since he last appeared and got it repaired, but it also may have been quite recently. I wouldn’t put it past him to push his automail extra hard and treat it roughly so it would require maintenance sooner (and lashing out in some sort of violent rage would not be out of character anyway) so he has an excuse to be there. He feels safer with a pretext, else he’d have to admit that the real reason he’s there is because he cares.

Bonus sketch: Modern AU doodle

Do you guys ever think about the fact Ed kinda just let Wrath choke him? He didn't stop him, sure he put his hand on his forearm but that wasn't stopping him.

He could've tried transmuting his automail, transmuting the carbon that makes up Wraths body. He could've very much tried hurting him or tried killing him.

But he didn't.

I think it's because Ed was thinking he deserved it. Mostly because of his words to Izumi after Wrath ran off:

"He was.. Crying. While I can't even squeeze out a single tear, that poor kid's crying like a baby. Like he, like he was crying because I couldn't."

I think Wrath and Ed are one in the same, Wrath is like Ed's intrusiveness and emotionalness but at a higher level. More extreme in a sense. But they're so alike I love them.

Idk how to explain it, I'll explain more later maybe.
