Arthur realizes Merlin isn't running up a tab at the tavern despite how long he spends at it, so he demands to know what's going on.
Merlin insists he has been going to the tavern, and to avoid another confrontation in the future, he asks Gwaine (who knows about his magic) to do him a favor and run up a bill at the tavern for him.
The next week, Arthur gets the invoice, looks at it, and has heart palpitations.
"Merlin drank how much?!"
I want to see a Merlin fic where his magic is revealed because Arthur accidentally shoots him with a crossbow during a hunt or something and Merlin comes back to life.
"You've killed me once, Arthur. Can you do it again?"
