nasa: apep is also the ancient egyptian deity of chaos and darkness, who ceaselessly seeks to extinguish the sun. we launch these rockets directly at the sun in the name of apep.

if you've ever used the London Underground you might have noticed that it often gets uncomfortably hot. the reason for this is actually that its builders dug too greedily & too deep and as a result the trains are very close to the fires of hell. hope that helps.

i love fallen london [spent several real life days grinding for lab equipment, getting distracted by hearts game in order to buy some materials to sell off for echoes to buy 500 goldfish for one advanced skill study to make this one set of skill checks 1 point easier so that I can progress this one storyline]
the real worry there are the Player of Chess checks so uh, make sure you have those as high as you can

okay too many people have liked this post so i'll talk about Olivia for a bit. Olivia Baker (the Effervescent Gravedigger, thanks matcha) is the gravedigger behind the 'Baker Cemetery', one of the graveyards around London for the permanently deceased, with it's signature tradition being to leave candles out in every tombstone (to represent that "Even in the all encompassing darkness surrounding us, you gave others some form of light."). She is very much obsessed with and loves Permanent Death, she thinks about it a lot and finds the idea of a true, definite ending to one's life the most beautiful thing ever. Due to her not very, active job (not a lot of people are dying all the time) she has plenty of time to dedicate herself to the arts, mostly being one to read poems and books (last time she tried to express her love for all things permanently gone she got kicked out of the Empress' Court by her own parents, who sorta disowned her after that.)
