A Prompting
I was really struggling a while back, and, honestly, I still have been. I have always been the kind to try to do everything on my own, and subsequently I lacked really in the area of reliance, surrendering, and trusting that God has already done it. I remember I was really doubting my own salvation and the attacks were coming hard. From the instances of my own willful sins, my own shortcomings, and my own weaknesses, I doubted God's willingness to save me.
How forgetful we can be sometimes. As I prayed about the situations and my desires, or maybe even lack of desires, to change my ways, or to truly surrender, I felt prompted to write a response the Spirit spoke to me. I wanted to share it here.
"You need to accept My Son's payment for your sins. I don't want atonement from you, only praise and gratitude for His sacrifice. I know that accepting love from Me is difficult for you. My love is faithful. My love is desiring of you; not as you should be, but as a creation of My own. You ask why I would create you despite the sins you would commit, but it's because your life, your personality, your person, all of it is what brings Me joy. You have been deemed worthy of My sacrifice because of My love for you, so accept it. Believe on Me for it. I have counted the cost, and My people, our reconciliation, is worth it. I want to lavish My love on those whom I have called. I only desire praise and gratitude, thankfulness, and obedience. Trust me for the sins that you are attached to and afraid of letting go of and know that there is mercy and compassion for your waywardness. I have never left you or forsaken you, and My love still calls out to you."
I heard a song yesterday and the lyric that struck me was, "I gave you my worst and you gave me your blood." When I sit in thought of the love that He has shown me, shown us, I can't help but be overwhelmed with awe. It is so hard to believe sometimes, but He does truly desire us. He knows everything about us, everything that we do. and everything that we struggle with, yet He calls us still.
We are loved, we are desired, by the One who truly knows us.

I worry SO MUCH about stupid little things in life and I’ve got to stop!! I always forget the toll that worry takes on not only the mind, but also the body, until I remember that even the very hairs of my head are numbered by Him. Jesus is ALWAYS watching over me and I need to trust in Him alone!!
Trusting God is the only thing that brings real rest!
When we become frustrated with God’s apparent delay in answering our prayer, it is good to remember that He is interested in developing faith and perseverance in our character (James 1:2-4). Wait on the Lord!
The gifts we are given by the Lord aren't why we need the Lord, but the gift being the Lord. The gift of Life, through Jesus Christ; being our personal Lord and savior. Giving us the gift of eternal life through him, by repentance of our sins. HE is the gift. HE is love, HE is life.

Sometimes we believe we've failed God so badly that He'll never forgive us. But the Bible says, "Jesus Christ came into the world to take away our sins. We deserve to die for our sins -- but He died in our place. Every sin we ever committed was placed on Him, and He took the judgment we deserve.
God doesn't want anyone to sin, but He knows we will. The Bible also says, "He delights in showing us mercy." We sometimes wonder if God can really forgive us, you see, God will always forgive us when we sincerely repent and ask for His forgiveness. Today, confess your sins to Jesus, turn away from them, He will surely cleanse you from all unrighteousness, and embrace you, because you are His child.
