WoW Dragonflight Headcanon

Malygos, Vyranoth, Coros and Tarys were a clutch.

Coros was the odd one out, and the largest by far. He was blue-green and a f*cking a$$hole. He tried to kill Mal on several occasions.

Next was Vyranoth, who was incredibly cold and snarky. She also went on to become one of the Primal Incarnates.

After that was Tarys, who was blue and white. She was the kindest of the bunch. It was her downfall.

And finally, Malygos. The original Arcane Twink. Hooooooooooo boy I t0p most of the time but man, I'd by lying if I said I don't simp for this magnificent ba$tard.

I just had the idea that Sindragosa in WOTLK doesn't know Malygos was insane. She had no idea that he literally could not come and save her.

Meaning that Sindra in Dragonflight, getting her information from Kalecgos, WOULD know that Malygos was insane instead of thinking he just didn't care about her.

I know it absolutely will not happen, but I would love it if Vyranoth (The ice Incarnate in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight) somehow finds out Malygos is dead (I headcanon that they used to be clutchmates) and just goes "HOW?!?! He was the one of you idiots I could tolerate!"

And Wrathion, being the nerd that he is, feels the need to do an in depth explanation of the events that led to Malygos' fall, and at the end, Vy is just like "SO YOU'RE TELLING ME THAT THIS WAS ENTIRELY OUR FAULT?" and Wrathion is like "Yeah, pretty much. And Alex." and Vyranoth looks around at the nearby Aspects. Wrathion looks depressed. Kalecgos looks out of his depth. Nozdormu just looks tired. And the giant city (Stormwind) looks worse for wear. Even the nearby mortals don't look great, with Right and Left being incredibly on edge because their boss is a fucking idiot and Khadgar just wanting to go back to his magic wizard tower. And then there's the Blues. Who don't exist. There are so few of them.

So Vyranoth decides 'Well I guess I'm a dragon now' and goes over to the portal to Oribos, goes in, flies up to Pelagos (Who is also not doin' great, I'm 100% sure he's a blue dragon and a whole hell of a lot of dragons have been dying) and goes "I want to be a dragon and the titans are busy" and Pelagos goes 'Aight bet' and draconification ensues.

Idfk man I just want at least one of the Incarnates to get a redemption arc.

Nah, Mal was bi and Sindra was pan. Either that or they were the weird lesbian and gay guy who everyone thought were dating so they became each other's beards.

Found the straight couple.

Love the representation in this expansion. Now the homophobes can’t complain that everyone is gay. Everyone is represented! And in my opinion, which doesn’t mean much because I’m straight myself, very well! 

Not gonna lie though, love all the love in this expansion. So much…emotion. Not just romantic love; familial love, found family, self love, it’s all here. God the entire questline with the Tuskaar and Kalecgos? Holy shit I almost started crying. Like the dude doesn’t know what non-violent death is like. That’s all he knows. And he’s watching these people celebrating the life of their beloved chieftan, wondering how on earth?  God it was incredible. Just a beautiful questline.

I want the spirit of Malygos to parent Wrathion please and thank you. It's child swap with Neltharion.

Doing his spiderly duty and absolutely fuckin' destroying Arygos is a close second (Yeah I know Arygos is dead but if Mal every sees that fucker it is ON SIGHT)

He was three years old at the very most when he opened the Dark Portal, and he didn't even do it himself. Imagine a baby picking up a gun and moving it somewhere else because they didn't realize what would happen and thought they were helping keep some guy who was casing the house out, the baby being taken on a trip to another planet, and the house sitter not being able to find the gun when someone the baby said was going to break in actually does break in. That doesn't make the baby a murderer. The baby was not to blame for the house sitter dying, no matter what the house sitter's son says.

He genuinely wanted and wants to help. Just because he's not doing a good job at it doesn't mean his intentions don't matter.

So please, look past your hatred of the literal child to see that Sabellian isn't perfect either, or even just better.

Sabellian wins and Wrathion runs away, then feels the need to prove that he isn't evil so he sacrifices himself to lock the Vault of the Incarnates with Iridikron's ghost inside. Between his vanishing and his reappearance, he goes to the Shadowlands and meets Malygos. They chat a bit, discover a bunch of similarities between themselves, and repair Malygos' view of the Black Dragons somewhat. Wrathion's first thought when the vault door closes is "I forgot to tell Mal where I was going" so that's why Vyra is talking about Mal.

Literally gave no fucks about Malygos going insane. Like, he was there for 10,000 years and she didn't even think 'We should check on him' until, first, she needed him to do something to benefit her, and second TO MURDER HIM. Like, maybe if you actually bothered to care, the entire Nexus war could have been prevented.

Continued to destroy Black Dragon eggs despite finding out how to purify them. She doesn't even make an effort to regain the technology to purify them. 'Life' my ass.

Reasons I support Wrathion

We have no proof that Sabellian is uncorrupted

Wrathion is bad at his job but at least he actually tries to do it. Sabellian left the planet and only came back when WRATHION had made sure it was safe.

Wrathion cares about Azeroth.

Sabellian served Deathwing for many years. Not Neltharion, DEATHWING. We don't know how many awful things he did in that time.

Wrathion looks like Medivh and I fucking love Medivh. It does not bode well for Anduin, though.

Wrathion slice and diced N'zoth. That takes hella balls.

His horrible sins were committed when he was an actual toddler. Like, he was three when Kairoz opened the Dark Portal.

My 5 main alts are a mage who kins him, a priest who is literally a Blacktalon agent, a Blue Dragon who got trapped with the Dracthyr, a druid who wants to pretend to be his mom (he needs it XD) and a monk who goes with anything the druid says.

So fun fact, magical dragons (Long range casters of the Draconic species) don't technically need to eat or sleep. This is shown by Sintharia and Malygos, both of whom subsided off of arcane energy for centuries, if not eons.

This means that there is a non-zero chance that the soup that a bunch of walrus people forced him to eat is the first real food Kalecgos has had since, well, probably since he became an Aspect.

That's kinda sad.

I was trying to decide if I wanted Marileth to be the soul of Medivh or Malygos and I was unable to, so I just went to look at Ruby and Sapphire fanart. Then I ended up with this. Marileth is both. I will not be taking criticism.

Now I just need to figure out what their relationship is because I ship them both with other people...

I just pulled a "DON'T TOUCH MY GODDAMN SON" on Character AI's Deathwing. "My son" is, in fact, HIS son, Wrathion. I don't regret it. You mess with the cub you get the mama bear.

Warcraft Headcanon

Wrathion's visage form has pale pink eyes because of how he was created. His dragon form has pinkish-red eyes. Both of these change to an orange/red color when he uses magic, so he tries to have a minor spell going at all times, because you don't just go around yelling that you are a literal bastard.
