TBH, I doubt either of them will go to the VMAs this year. Joe's filming Fantastic 4 in the UK & Doja has to get ready for the iHeart Festival back in the States.
Speaking of Doja, she's only up for one award this year (Video of the Year for 'Paint the Town Red') and, unfortunately, she's not gonna win. If I were her, I wouldn't even bother worrying about the VMAs.

Joe POV: 2oP (side) +HM (side) = (U) He's juggling a lot on his plate from work/ upcoming projects, and relationship. (R) He's not focus on love and is neglecting his partner. Busy / overwhelmed. He probably doesn't even know he's neglecting her. HM (U) "love can't be rushed" "avoiding romantic pressure" While he might "like" Doja, he's not rushing to settle. "could have came out of a recent breakup or has career goals to fill". (R) Understanding more of what he wants in his next relationship.
OC: Red Flags, Jealousy, and Unavailable = He's not taking this seriously, of course things could change, but from this reading he's dealing with his own insecurities and he's just looking for something fun. He can hangout with her and do other stuff but, that's about it for now.
Cosmic OC: Manifest + Moving
Manifest "tell the future what you want" so he's probably manifest things better for his career or for a better relationship. There's no telling, but he's hoping something better comes his way.
Moving "Change of residence" We could add this to the manifesting. Looking for a better place to move, but he might be moving soon if not later down the line or he might have to relocate due to a project.

In the past month I've seen more of this toxic, immature behavior from the JQ fans than the DC fans. Yes, some DC ones are nasty. But I've yet to see any of them take it to the level the JQ ones have. Any that have done it have NOT taken it to what you described in your post. The JQ ones that do this are no better than the KPOP ones with their deranged behavior. I kinda give those that are teenagers some slack because they're still very young & don't fully know better. But the ones in or beyond their 20s? NO EXCUSE (especially those who are older than both of them)!
At first, I was gonna blame the whole thing on racism because she's half Black. But after reading about the same thing happening to some Australian model he dated last year & even the actress who played Chrissy on ST, I no longer think that. Both of them are White & they still got attacked for being attached to him. They're just not happy with ANY woman he's with. I'd like to know what is the endgame with these people. Is it them breaking up? Him staying single forever so they can have their sexual parasocial fantasies of him? They need to get over themselves and realize, Doja or no Doja, he will NEVER be with any of them in this or any other lifetime.
If they ARE together & they ARE happy (since nothing has ever been confirmed), LET THEM BE! TBH, the more these few crazy stans do this, the more I hope Joseph & Doja become closer from all of this. I hope they get married, have lots of kids (who will be gorgeous because of their parents), and they spend the rest of their lives together. I hope they live long, happy, healthy lives together and they both die an old man and old lady warm in their bed.
I, too, hope that someone from either Joseph's team or Doja's team decides to take legal action from this. If suing even one of them gets the others to shut up, so be it.

Certain fans have been submitting multiple blind items about Joe without thinking of any implications that can cause because they think it’s funny, starting rumours that snowball and overall giving quinnies a bad reputation. Considering we’re supposed to be fans and support Joe it seems some of y’all want Joe’s career to go down the drain because you don’t happen to like the person he’s been rumoured to be dating.
not to mention harassing his father and friends on twitter/instagram.
y’all don’t have love Doja and I certainly don’t agree with her actions in the past however, creating fake scenarios to fit a certain narrative is gross. Y’all are lucky Joseph and Doja are not the type to throw lawsuits around for defamation, although i hope to god they start.
each day there’s a new drama with this fandom and it’s exhausting and embarrassing. it sucks that a man so talented has some fans that are deranged, toxic and get carried away with their parasocial relationship.

Nobody asked for it, but I’m going to also jump in & just say that I don’t care about Joseph Quinn & Doja Cat being whatever they are.
Their being together, not together, friends, friends with bennies, is not going to affect my life negatively or positively in any way shape or form, & it shouldn’t affect yours either.
Being disappointed is one thing, but some of the most disparaging things have been said about Joseph in the past 24 hours from his supposed fans. It’s very disheartening, disappointing & honestly disrespectful how quickly some flipped on him when you swear y’all love him so much.
If you want to stop being a fan, that’s fine, but you don’t have to disparage his name on your way out the door for him being a human being & trying to live his life & connect with other human beings. It’s nobodies business who he chooses to spend his time with or why.
He doesn’t owe anyone anything. Just because you watch his shows and movies or pay to meet him at a con doesn’t mean he owes anyone anything.
You have his gratitude. You have him agreeing to more projects that you can possibly enjoy, that’s enough.
You don’t know him. You don’t know what he thinks or feels. What you see from interviews & cons is what he wants you to see. How you interpret that is entirely YOUR take on things but when it comes down to it, you don’t know him.
Let him make mistakes. Let him live HIS life.
Life is too short & there’s already so much negativity in this world outside the four corners of our cellphones & laptops.
Literally none of this matters or changes anything.
