I keep forgetting that my knowledge of where other countries are on a map isn't the norm in the US lol
I mentioned to someone once about my Mexican-American brother's question of "Colombia borders Mexico, right?" But I just remembered another story

Him: Well anyway, I liked the movie, but I just don't get why they had them speak Afrikaans throughout the movie
Me:...They don't speak Afrikaans in Jamaica
Him: Really?...No, there has to be some speakers over there
Me: Maybe, but it's primarily spoken in South Africa
Him: No, there has to be more.
Me: Well there are some speakers in Namibia, but only really in Africa, not Jamaica.
Him:....Jamaica is in Africa, stupid🙄

Tajikistan
Most people don't know what Tajikistan is. Even geography nerds dismiss it as a Hungary ripoff. Little does everybody know, it has cool things about it, just like every other country. This small beauty in resilience of what people think about it makes it one of my favorite countries.

So lately I’ve been hyper-obsessed with breaking the US into different countries for fun as an alternate future sort of thing and would REALLY appreciate it if some of y'all who live or have lived in the US could fill out my form to gage your opinion and figure out some basic info like national foods, potential boundary changes and whatnot :)

don't worry if you know nothing about geography! you can also pick and choose questions to answer if you don't want to fill them all out, and if you don't like any of my answers you can create your own
(My one request is that if you check any of the countries in the final section, would you pls also fill out the following question with an explanation, since otherwise I won’t know what to do with it)

The US broke: WTF happens to Pennsylvania???
Hey y'all! This is an extension of the split US project. There're some areas I'm still trying to refine.
Any help is much appreciated, but please try to only answer questions for areas you're familiar with in some way or another!
It doesn't have to be by much, just something beyond "Pennsylvania should be with New York because they're right next to each other and because of that my brain associates them together."

Alternate US: Potential Succession of West Virginia Poll
So, below is a map of some of the current countries in this project, but I'm considering a potential succession of West Virginia and some of it´s surrounding areas (mainly western Pennsylvania and part of Ohio from the Republic of Ohio, and a portion of Virginia and Kentucky from Appalachia).
If Ohio were to be thrown into the succession, Illinois might join into a country with northern Missouri and Iowa. Not so sure about Indiana at the moment.
