Overwatch Events: Cole Cassidy's New Blood Challenge
Alright, we got a new character challenge event! It's called Cassidy's New Blood challenge. It will begin on November 9th and end on November 23rd. Going off of past character challenges, and weekly events, I expect we will be getting a character icon for 9 points, a spray or emote for 18 points, and the skin shown in the trailer for 27 points. You will probably be able to get 2 points per win and 1 point per loss.
This event was originally supposed to happen in September, but it was pushed back due to the decision to change his name. So, we might be able to expect a new short story going along with the character challenge that might reveal a little more story behind Cassidy's past.
Overwatch Events: Cassidy's New Blood Challenge
Alright, Cassidy's New Blood Challenge has begun! It will be live from now until November 23rd. If you play during the challenge, you will be able to win a player icon, a spray, and skin. If you want any Overwatch Twitch streamers during the event you will be able to get 6 sprays via Twitch drops.
By playing 9 games, you will win the Sandstorm Player Icon. By playing 18 games, you will win the Old Friends spray. By playing 27 games, you will win the Sandstorm Cassidy skin.
If you watch 2 hours of Overwatch Twitch streamers you will get the Back to Back spray. If you watch another 2 hours (4 hours overall) of Overwatch Twitch streamers you will get the Talon Spotted and Cute Bike sprays. If you watch another 2 hours (6 hours overall) of Overwatch Twitch streamers you will get the Determined, Hat Tip, and Tea Break sprays.
I thought that we would be getting a short story to go with this event, but we are actually getting a comic series for Cassidy called New Blood. Since I have a bunch going on this week, I will be covering the first issue of the series later this week or next week, but from what I've seen, as well as Cassidy, Ana and Pharah are going to be in this series.
Anyways, like I said, I will be covering the first issue of New Blood and there is a piece of Overwatch League news that I might mention, but I need to think about it first. With that being said, have fun playing if you try to get the event items, and good luck!

Alright, just thought I would put this reminder out here, Cassidy's New Blood Challenge will be ending tomorrow, as of the time I am writing this, which is November 23rd!
By playing 9 games, you will get the Sandstorm Player Icon. You will win the Old Friends spray by playing 18 games. Finally, you will win the Sandstorm Cassidy skin by playing 27 games. Also, by watching up to 6 hours of Overwatch streamers, with drops activated, you get 6 sprays. If you want to look more into the info, here is a link for that.
Anyways, I should be posting about New Blood issue #1 soon with it being the long Thanksgiving weekend and all. I was hoping to get it out sooner, but I've school's been keeping me busy, so sorry for that! Alright, it's been a little... I meant to make an update post, but I got sick. It's not COVID, but I have had a fever since Thursday which has sucked. But I'm feeling better, so I thought I'd make this post.
Reaper is getting a character challenge called Reaper's Code of Violence which starts on February 22nd (this coming Tuesday) and ends on March 8th.

I will be posting updates as they come out! Also, I thought this tweet by @ OverwatchNaeri on Twitter pointed out some details I totally missing initially, makes me even more excited to see what this event will entail in terms of winnable items and possible lore.

You will win the Deadly Mischief spray by playing 18 games. Finally, you will win the Dusk Reaper skin by playing 27 games.
Also, by watching up to 6 hours of Overwatch streams, with drops activated, you get 6 sprays. I would recommend watching Emongg at https://www.twitch.tv/emongg if you want to get the sprays. He is who I have been watching this afternoon and I have already gotten the first three sprays. He streams for a while almost every day.

Anyways, I am a little busy right now with school, so I haven't read the story yet. Once I do, I will make a summary post about it that will include my opinion on the short story! ~ Nova.

I had so much fun designing the Filipino-inspired isekai; tying the alampay and making it absurdly long to act as a substitute for her ponytail was genius actually… Also, I made the inside of her hat black to continue the joke of her hat looking like it’s part of her hair.
