✿— Mine finishes the last cross-stitch on her latest project before turning to give the other a wave. “Hiya, Yuki! If you’re here to see Ayame I’m afraid you just missed him.”

His face looked a bit defeated as he heard her less than desired news. He had rushed to get here on time as best he could. It seemed all his effort was in vain.
“Ah. Thank you, Mine. Is he.. supposed to return at all tonight?” It was hard to keep up with his schedule and hours as it varied sometimes, depending on his commissions load. Not that he put in much effort to learn it for himself.
✿— “Sorry Yuki, but ‘fraid not. He told me not to worry about staying up and waiting for him tonight, since he probably won’t be back from the fashion show until late this evening or early tomorrow morning.” She had offered to go in his stead, but Mine of all people knew better than to come between Ayame and something after he had made up his mind. “I’m just about to close up shop if you’d like to stay for tea though!”

“Fashion show?” Did he often attend such things? It made sense if he thought about it, though the honest truth was that he had never really thought much of what his chosen profession required outside of the use of a sewing machine and cash register. It was perhaps a little short sighted to make such assumptions. He knew even less than he realized about his brother’s life
“Uh.. yes. That would be nice. Thank you. Is there anything I can do to help you?” There was no point in rushing off. It was quite cold out. He might as well enjoy the warmth for a little before heading home at the very least.
✿— Mine supposed it was too much to expect the two brothers to know everything about each other so soon, so she was more than happy to act as a mediator in the meantime. The seamstress offered a warm smile before looking around with a hum, hands resting on her hips. “You could help me gather up all the spare fabric and put it on the table in the back for me if you don’t mind! I’m gonna go ahead and close up and then I’ll help ya! Once everything’s locked up we can go and have some yummy tea~!”

“Alright.” He said as he returned a quiet nod to her, walking past and looking around the room for fabrics which looked out of place.
The sad reality was his relation to the room was much the same as the one to her. Both he had seen once or twice but, he didn’t know much of beyond the fact that they were important to his brother. Setting a larger wrapped sheet of fabric on the back table he returned, walking around for more as he waited for her to confirm he was putting it away as he was supposed to.
✿— She makes quick work of tidying up, makeshift piles and stacks of orders haphazardly organized on one of the desks; organized chaos. While Mine wasn’t a fan of needless clutter, when the holidays rolled around she always had to pick and choose her battles. Time was better spent working on projects than trying to keep everything in the back tidy just to have it messed up again. When she returns she sees Yuki aimlessly search for fabric to pick up, smiling to herself before chuckling and placing a hand on his shoulder. “Come on, we can always come back to this later. Do you have a preference for tea?”
