BWC2016 Round 1 - Tumblr Posts - Page 2

Robert chose to smustle in a different room. Maybe he was embarrassed by his dance moves?
In any case, the party was a success, and so was the first round of the Kim household. I don’t know how wacky it was, but it was pretty fun. I hope you enjoyed it too.

The Kims were pretty fun to play. There wasn’t a lot of story again, but that’s okay with me. I think they’re the perfect family for this kind of challenge. because their odd behavior can (mostly) be explained by the fact that they’re just coming out of show business. They have no idea how the real world works.

I also love how in love Robert and Cynthia are. They may not understand how to take care of a dog or a kid, but they love each other, and that counts for a lot with me.

Robert does bug me, though. I noticed his lack of emotion when I was queueing up the pictures and it’s just...putting me off of him. Maybe he’s the kind of guy who only really cares about his wife, but he just bugs me. At least he and Cynthia will make pretty babies?

Cynthia really is gorgeous, and I think she’s got a bit more of a clue than her husband does about how this “real life” thing works. (Although she was pretty insensitive with Denise during the welcome wagon thing...) I’ll be interested to see how she does as a mom once the baby gets here. She’s not all that interested in Justin at the moment...

Luckily, Justin is a very self-reliant and resilient kid. I really do love him a lot, and I think he’ll be the best at adjusting to “real life” out of the three Kims. (Not counting Gabby the dog of course.) He really is an animal lover and I’m glad I put him in charge of the pets. I want to see how he’ll do with a baby sibling coming. Will he be a good big brother or a bad one?

Gabby reminded me constantly of why I don’t play with dogs very often in this game. Playing with cats I’ve gotten used to, and at least they’re self-cleaning and all that. Gabby was a handful! At least at first. I think Justin managed to convince her that chewing up the furniture was not a good idea. She did get stinky pretty easily, though, which was why she had to have a bath. Maybe it’s because I’m a cat person in real life too, but I like the cats at the Kat house better than Gabby...

Anyways, I had a lot of fun with the Kims and I’m looking forward to seeing them around town and playing with them again next round.

Spring in Bluewater saw a lot of new sims move into the neighborhood, and a lot of changes in the families already living there. Romances began, babies are expected, sims progressed in careers, and businesses flourished. It’s looking like the start of a time of growth in town.
Check below the cut for a review of what happened in each of the families this round.
Malcolm Landgraab moved back to town to take over the family legacy. He was surprised to learn that the terms of the legacy mean that he has a limited amount of time to get married or all his family’s wealth and businesses will be taken away by a law firm. Malcolm didn’t have a lot of success with the ladies at first, but eventually he met Abby Slater and they went out on a date. Malcolm is smitten.
Florence Delarosa moved into her parents’ old house in Bluewater after her parents moved to Riverblossom Hills. She turned part of the house into a flower shop and is working on renovating the old greenhouse. She joined the local garden club and was particularly taken with one of the club members, Herb.
Stephen and Wanda Tinker were thrilled when their adoption request finally went through. They got a bit of a surprise on the day their new daughter Cadence arrived, though - Wanda is pregnant! The Tinkers have always wanted a big family, so they’re very excited about the new baby (or babies) on the way. Meanwhile, their oldest daughter Melody is making friends and trying to build up her skills for university.
Life took a bit of a turn for the Ramirezes. Tessa started school for the first time and worked hard to get an A+. Lisa decided to go back to work and managed to get a job at the hospital. Checo supported both his girls in their new endeavors and worked hard at his furniture store to make sure the family could have whatever they desired. At the end of the round, Checo and Lisa rewarded Tessa for her hard work with a dog named Scooter!
The Larson twins entered into a fierce competition to see who could get a business to Level 10 first. They both had some successes and some failures, but in the end it looked like Jodie was just a little bit ahead. In their free time, both twins went on dates. Jason may have found a young lady he’s interested in, but Jodie’s date didn’t go quite as well as she’d hoped. The twins continued to irritate each other during the whole round and they both rubbed their successes in each other’s faces.
Gilbert and his mother Denise had a hard time this round. Gilbert’s father Yves passed away unexpectedly, prompting Gilbert to return home and Denise to fall into a deep depression. While his mother hid in her room and mourned, Gilbert tried his best to get the family bakery back into shape. Luckily he had the help of Breanna Custer, although I don’t think they’ll be developing a romance this time around. Denise did finally come to terms with the loss of her husband and decided to focus on her son and the business. Although she’s still not fully recovered, she’s taken the first step. Gilbert is determined to stay with her as long as she needs him.
Chester Gieke worked hard to earn his bronze robot badge this round. He met with one of the employees at Malcolm Landgraab’s electronics store to talk to her about selling his robots there. He also stargazed as much as he could, but didn’t discover any aliens. Meanwhile, his roommate Cyd Roseland dug up the whole yard to find as much treasure as he could, along with the maps to the secret lots. He’s trying to take a trip around the world to search for a cure for lycanthropy. Chester and Cyd did manage to become friends this round and Cyd might even let Chester come with him when he goes on a trip next round.
Tara Kat spent most of the round focusing on her beloved cats. She did manage to set the house on fire, prompting one of them to run away, but luckily some kind stranger brought the kitty back. Tara made friends with Jareth Klein, although I’m not sure how the cats feel about him. The most exciting thing about this round was that Tara convinced two of the cats to try for kittens and we will officially have baby cats next round!!! Woohoo!
The Kims had a bit of trouble adjusting to life in the suburbs after their glamorous life of stardom, but I think they managed. Cynthia and Robert were almost completely obsessed with each other and they managed to get pregnant. Justin worked on training Gabby the dog and took pretty good care of himself. The family threw a party and invited most of the town to close out the round.
That sums up Round 1. It was a lot of fun and set up a lot of good stories, I think. Tune in next time to find out what happens in Bluewater Challenge 2016, Round 2! :D
