Checo went to the furniture store to try to earn the gold badge we need for this round. He already had a gold sales badge, so he tried the register and restocking. The business made it to level six, but no gold badges so far.
Checo and Tessa went to the park to try to knock out two challenges at once. Tessa worked on making new friends, and Checo worked on yet another possible gold badge: fishing. I think he’s at silver right now. He caught some big fish!
Checo met Stephen Tinker at the park and shared the exciting news about Lisa’s pregnancy. Stephen shared what had happened to Wanda after her latest pregnancy, giving Checo a whole lot to think about.
Meanwhile, Tessa was just cute.
Lisa came home from work with a promotion and a bad case of nausea. This baby is being kind of rough on her. She’s very glad that her boss agreed to give her maternity leave before starting her new position. Working the night shift while pregnant would be exhausting!
Lisa told Checo all her good news from work. He decided to let her know what was on his mind after his chat with Stephen Tinker at the park.
Checo: …and it just got me worrying. You and Wanda are the same age. If she had such a tough time, what if you have trouble with your pregnancy too? I don’t want anything to happen to you.
Lisa: I’ve been thinking about that too. That’s why I’m taking my maternity leave a bit earlier than I did with Tessa. I’m not taking any risks with this baby.
Checo: *scooting close and wrapping an arm around her* I’ll do anything I can to keep you happy, my love.
Fittingly enough, Lisa had her first pop shortly after that conversation. Checo is so excited for the new baby.
Tessa is also excited for her new sibling.
Lisa spends a lot of time either lounging or sleeping on the couch. The baby is wearing her out!
Tessa’s working on teaching the dog (whose name is Scooter, by the way) to do some tricks. I’m not sure how well it’s going.
Checo worked hard to get rid of his grilled cheese gut. He even went to the gym! And, in the end, it worked! He’s not completely fit, but he’s in much better shape.
Tessa worked on our “make a friend” goal and she managed to become really good friends with Cadence Tinker, as well as a couple of the townie kids.
Checo spent some time at the business, getting it up to level 7. He also had a chance to talk with Wanda Tinker for a few minutes. He let her know that he was glad she was feeling better.
On Monday, it was time for Tessa’s birthday party. Lisa invited the Tinkers and the Kims, since Tess is friends with their kids.
Melody actually came from college for the party. Lisa admired her new grown up look.
Tessa spent a bit of time getting to know Justin Kim a bit better. He’s probably the closest to her in age of all the playable kids at the moment, and my plan has always been for them to go to college together when they’re old enough. Depending on how they feel, they may even become a couple one day.
Time to grow up!
As expected, Tessa grows into a lovely teen. She randomized as a Family sim.
In spite of Tessa growing up well and everyone seeming to have a good time, the party ended as a disaster. I honestly don’t know why…We’ll have to have another party before the end of the round to see if we can get that Roof Raiser. Maybe now that she’s a teen, Tessa can host one herself!
Tessa is still super excited to be a big sister.
