Guess we'll find out soon, I'm not ready.
How much are we thinking Spinner is regretting that he saved Midoriya that one time now that Midoriya killed his boyfriend?
If he isn't brain dead thanks to OFA.
With further research, these leaked panels seem to be faked and made by the artist Nandry. And looking even further, it would explain why only one panel and cover is leaked but also why its in English( the artist speaks French and English) instead of Japanese like the other leaks that recently came out.
I haven’t seen any on here yet, mostly on Twitter, and I might get some hate for this so I’m gonna try to be as clear and precise as possible, but:
The jokes about Izuku becoming a line cook because he can’t be a hero, because he can’t do anything else, actually make me fucking ill
Not the jokes themselves, I guess. But just the way they’re treated. Just. Considering that the wider fandom considers what this world's equivalent to a disabled person being "useless" and only good for a service job flipping burgers, which is often looked down on as being a "lowly" job (not that I, myself, consider food service industry jobs to be lowly, y’all are the strongest motherfuckers out there, but that’s not what’s being portrayed here)
In a world full of casual superpowers, even if it doesn't influence too heavily on their surroundings, a quirkless person is disabled... Or, at least, they aren't fully able. Quirks have become so deeply ingrained in everyone's lives, to the point where we see everybody casually using their quirk. Inko uses her telekinesis to float small objects towards her; Momo creates a lighter during the training camp; Tokoyami uses Dark Shadow as an extension of himself; Katsuki tries to light a fire also during the training camp, implying he's done something similar beforehand; etc etc etc…
Implying that all a disabled person is good for is a service job, and implying that they shouldn’t strive for more, is fucking gross and it makes me genuinely nauseous.
No doubt, I’m reading way too much into this, but I really fucking need people to think about this more. It’s gross. It’s so gross.
how the jp side react to the chapter?
I haven't had a lot of time yet to read through everything - I'll do a compilation post later.
But from what I've seen - there is a lot more reaction than on a normal chapter drop - it stirred something in people. It's a fairly mixed bag, just like in the West.
The one thing everyone reacted overwhelmingly positive to is the soba scene: Shouto's innocent question, Touya's reply, the "it's the same" with Shouto's baby face and then Touya crying (many pointing out how Touya's tear ducts were burnt and wondering what it means). People pointed out how it moved Touya because Shouto is not treating him as a villain, but as a brother. And also how sad it was that they can't eat it together or wishing that in the end we'd still see them eat together.
Natsu cutting away from the family was also regarded mostly positive and even saying that it's in any case normal at that age to leave the nest
Some pointed out how cruel the ending is for Fuyumi, having to quite her teaching job and probably ending up in a much less prestigious position, being tucked away out of sight.
People were mostly positive about Shouto being freed from the family and being able to move forward with Class A, but many wanted to see actual scenes of comfort. Also, many people pointed out that he'll probably face many difficulties in his own hero career - from having to become a sidekick for someone like Bakugou or having most his salary be paid into victims reparations.
For Endeavor - there was mostly positive reaction to his retirement, but I've also seen people saying that he got away easy and that he didn't take properly responsibility as there are no criminal consequences, nor did he speak to the public explaining his decision.
I've seen people saying both that Dabi should have died on the battlefield and that his slow death is just a prop so that Endeavor can atone. Others think that this is better than a death penalty and being able to talk has meaning, even if it's painful.
Most people thought it was rather depressing / but also sad and beautiful.
I also saw many people say that it was fitting that Dabi in the end managed to destroy Endeavor.
