Aurora Ghoulette - Tumblr Posts

Do you guys think Aether loved Dew like a poet, how he wrote the fire ghoul pages upon pages of descriptive poetry and bables and hid them away just waiting for the right time to give them to him.

Do you guys think Dew went to clean out Aether's now empty room once he was sent back just to find the box of poetry and letters hidden underneath his bed, do you guys think Dew hates himself for not telling the quintessence ghoul how he felt sooner.

Cause I do, I think about it a lot.

this is about your weirdly specific disability ghoul head cannons!! i don’t know if this is exactly a disability but i have like reallyyyyy bad misophonia, a specific hatred for certain sounds like chewing or dripping water. id love to read about a ghoul who has this. I get really angry at people who chew loud/with their mouth open especially if i love them. sorry for my rambling abt this but id love to read about it!! no pressure ofc💜💜💜

I have misophonia myself so I headcanon a few ghouls with it, so here's a list of ghouls who I'd think would have it and how they'd react.

Swiss-Very irritable very fast, Aeth will take notice and give him ear buds with his playlist to listen to.

Aurora and Phantom-Both would get overstimulated by it and have to leave, they'd do sensory deprivation and cuddle til they're better.

Omega-He'd try and endure it as long as possible before it gets too much, he'll either shut down or have a complete meltdown.

Rain-Would get overwhelmed and politely tell the person making the noise, he'd be understanding and then would put on headphones.

Mountain-Would put on music to mask the sound, having a few fidgets to play with in order to keep himself distracted.

thoughts about my hc that aurora doesn't accept her body for some reasons and looks at other ghoulettes who have healthy self-esteem and is jealous of it and she can't even look at them because she's tearing up inside and she's just crying alone in her room? (it has a more positive continuation hehe but I'll write later :P)

Aurora and Phantom are sleeping

Aurora And Phantom Are Sleeping

Copia walked back and forth in the darkened room, illuminated only by a crescent-shaped nightlight. He slowly hummed his favorite song, which his older brother once sang, and rocked the charming addition to his «family» in his arms.

The tiny ghoulette occasionally snorted in his warm embrace, which so touched the elderly Papa. She appeared in the family quite recently, but he already loved her madly.

— I believe you could be what I need to believe...

With these words, he carefully placed her in the cradle, where another tiny ghoul was already sleeping. They immediately clung to each other, and Copia kissed each of them on the forehead and covered them with a plush blanket.

—My little Aurora and Phantom... Sleep sweetly, I love you.

the Knight and her Princess, Ch 3

ch 1 ch 2

royalty AU, knight!mist x princess!aurora, fluffy fluffy 5+1 things about two idiots in love🪼🎀 five times the famously stoic captain of the royal guard, Mist, was flustered by Princess Aurora, and one time she got her revenge. read on AO3 here or continue below!

3. Pretty

The next time Mist was summoned (yet again) to Princess Aurora’s chambers was after a royal banquet, thrown to celebrate the visit of a new alliance of the kingdom, the King of some faraway land. As captain of the royal guard, Mist had been present at their guests’ arrival, had seen their horses and carriages trodded into the fenced castle as she cast the command to lower the drawbridge. It was a rather rowdy bunch, she noted. Nothing like their own ruler, the princess’ father. Even from her post, she could clearly hear the boisterous laughter of the newly arriving King following a crude joke he made himself. The King did not spare her even one look when they passed, too busy wrapping his hand around the waist of his Queen, whose hat was adorned with rather monstrous-looking feathers, and wore a dress that seemed to weigh ten times more than Mist’s own armour and sword combined. She pursed her lips together tightly to suppress a smile as she bowed.

As she now made her way to her princess’ chambers, she allowed the smile to fully form on her lips. When she watched the guests file into the banquet hall, she had indeed wondered whether she would be called on by Princess Aurora after the feast, for she would surely have stories to share. Many times in the past, she had been graced with the princess’ presence following her attendance at such events. And while some tales she told were far from appropriate or even polite to leave a princess’ lips, Mist could not deny that she secretly looked forward to such occurrences. She told herself it was simply part of her duty, to relieve the princess of her tension after attending such tiring events. But truly, Mist just revered every second she was granted to spend with her princess, and she would never turn down a chance to hear the princess’ laughter and see the twinkle in her eyes.

Arriving at the familiar door, it only took one knock before the princess’ voice called out to her. “Come in!” Mist pushed open the door and entered, eyes forming crescent moons in a smile at the unconcealed excitement clear in her voice. Princess Aurora had already changed out of her intricate gown, but her hairdo remained in place, though some strands had fallen out from the braids to softly frame her face like ribbons of moonlight. She was seated cross-legged on a plush cushion on her bed, and with a wide smile on her face she patted the space next to her and beckoned Mist to join her.

Mist did as she was told, sitting down stiffly on the soft sheets of the bed. The first thing she noticed was that she smelled of flowers—though with an undeniable tinge of alcohol. Then, the princess scooted closer to her until she was pressing onto Mist’s side, and the heat radiating off of her made the knight promptly lose her train of thought. (But Gods, she was so warm. And soft. She was everything Mist was not, and it drew Mist to her like a moth to a flame.)

All the stars in the galaxy were rendered dull as Mist met Aurora’s eyes, for they shined so prettily now, brighter than any light. “Oh, I have so many stories to tell you—” She grinned. It was endearing to see her like this, Mist mused. So carefree, no longer shackled by expectations. Mist felt honoured, privileged even, to be able to see this side of her so often; the trust her princess had bestowed upon her was a gift she felt unworthy to receive, but was grateful for nonetheless.

“But first, would you help me with my hair, please?” The princess glanced at Mist with the best puppy dog eyes she could muster. Mist wanted to laugh at the pointlessness of the gesture, for they both knew there was no chance she could deny her anything, but she did look particularly adorable, so Mist could not bring herself to complain.

She nodded. “Of course,” she shifted so she was facing her princess’ back, her long hair a golden waterfall embellished with specks of pink. “Did the maids not help you?” The knight questioned as her hands started on the task. Carefully, she began to untangle the delicate braids, her brows knitting together in concentration. The princess’ hair felt like silk to the touch, gliding through her fingers, which were calloused and rough from battle.

“They offered to help, of course, but I declined.” Mist could not see her face, but she could imagine Aurora’s expression from the playful lilt in her voice. “I was too impatient for that,” she continued. “Couldn’t wait. Wanted to see you sooner.”

Such a simple admission, yet as the words reached her ears Mist’s heart hopelessly skipped a beat. Her finger twitched as she removed a pin from the strand of hair in her hands, and she shook her head slightly, glad that the princess could not see her right now. Thankfully, if Aurora noticed her silence, she did not comment on it, and seamlessly steered the conversation to her tales of tonight’s banquet.

As deft fingers now worked on gently untangling some unruly strands, the princess dutifully reported each noteworthy incident from the event. “...And when she pointed out his mistake, he got so embarrassed that he spilled the wine all over himself! Oh, how I wish you were there. He looked utterly ridiculous, and he was so angry that there was almost smoke coming out of his nostrils and ears! We were all trying so hard not to laugh—” Mist felt her own lips tugging up, curving into a smirk, as she watched the princess’ shoulders slightly shake from silent laughter. “—I do feel sorry for the poor servant, though. That drunken bastard,” she scoffed, contempt evident in her tone, “blaming his own mistake on an innocent servant.” She paused, contemplating. “I ought to make sure he isn’t punished,” she muttered under her breath, and Mist could hear the frown in her voice.

That was her princess, Mist thought. Ever so considerate. “I’m sure His Highness would have made sure of that,” she reminded gently. Aurora’s father, the King, was a reasonable and benevolent one and took good care of those under his rule. As the princess nodded in agreement, she tugged on the final bow in her hair, freeing her curls at last. “There,” she said, “All done.”

She stood up, turning around to put the ribbons and pins away on the vanity, before returning to her seat. Princess Aurora had turned around already and was staring at her rather intently. She felt her cheeks heat up as her princess’ stare bore into her eyes, and averted her gaze, suddenly finding interest in the intricate carvings of the wooden bedpost.

“...What are you looking at?” She questioned, but the question came out so softly she barely recognised her own voice. She was known for her cutthroat precision on the battlefield and the decisiveness she possessed, sharpened by years of combat, had often saved lives, including her own. But when it came to her dear princess, even a glance could dismantle her entirely, rendering her completely and utterly defenseless. And secretly, she didn’t mind it—she knew it was not a good thing for someone like her to have such a weakness, but when a glimmer of a smile from the princess could elicit a battalion of butterflies to wake in her stomach, even she could not resist the temptation of a little indulgence. She cleared her throat a little awkwardly. She was thinking too much, and that was never a good sign. “Is there something on my face?” She tried for a joking tone, but it fell flat. When she looked up again, Aurora’s eyes were still fixed on her face, her face cupped in her palms, elbows propped up on her knees. Her long lashes fluttered, like the wings of a butterfly. Then, as if coming out of a dream, the princess sat up straight, blinking.

“Sorry, I was…” She gnawed on her bottom lip, searching for the right word. Mist waited patiently. “...Distracted, you could say.” A smile formed on her lips. A peace offering. ( And was that a hint of a blush blooming across her cheeks, as well? In that sense, they were matching, the knight supposed. )

“Distracted? By what?”

“...You,” Princess Aurora admitted, voice barely above a whisper.

“Me?” Mist frowned, not understanding.

With a sigh, Aurora explained. “I was distracted because I was too busy looking at you, I suppose.” It was her turn to look away now, her eyes now gazing at her own socked feet that were dangling off the edge of the bed, swinging mindlessly. Then, as if having decided on something, she looked up at Mist once more. As their eyes met, Mist was nearly taken aback at the burning earnestness and intensity in her gaze. She gulped, mouth suddenly dry.

“I like looking at you, you know.” Aurora continued. “N-not in a weird way, of course!” She laughed somewhat nervously. It was rare for her to be like this—blushing, apprehensive, restrained. And she couldn’t explain why, but it sent a burst of warmth to her heart. (Later, she recognised the glee she felt at that moment as being from the fact that she alone got to see the princess like this. Only her. The warmth persisted in her chest for days.) “I meant it as in…” Here she trailed off and paused again, wringing her hands and carefully choosing her next words. “You have very pretty features,” she continued, “And the way you move is so…Elegant,” She concluded.

The previous blush that coloured Mist’s cheeks returned, now strengthened tenfolds. “Me? Are you sure?” She wanted to scoff, for no matter how hard she tried she could not link the words, so foreign and in her mind reserved only for the princess, to herself. She was many things—strong, battle-hardened, perhaps. One may even describe her as tough, intimidating. But pretty? Elegant ? She shook her head.

Yet it appeared that her princess was serious, fixing her with a glare that silenced her disbelieving remarks. “Yes! You haven’t seen the way you move, Mist. It’s mesmerising, really. You’re so—so agile, and there’s this… Fluidity, in your movement that not a single dancer in the kingdom could even think to replicate. You know, I used to sneak out just to see you train, at times.” She admitted with a shy smile, which Mist returned.

“Ah, yes, I remember. You really thought I wouldn’t notice, when you were lurking about behind the trees?” Mist grinned, earning her a playful slap on the arm. Then, as the rest of the princess’ words gradually sunk in, she sobered at once. “But really, you…You flatter me, your highness.”

She yelped when unexpectedly, the princess flicked her square on the forehead with her fingers. “None of that now,” She chided, and Mist nodded with a pout as she rubbed at the spot she had been struck. (Rather dramatic, for she had endured much, much worse in battle, but she could never pass up a chance for some harmless theatrics. Not when it rewarded her with the precious sound of twinkling laughter from her princess.) Still, her cheeks blazed as the princess continued. “And I meant it when I say you’re pretty.” The syllables fell from her lips with such ease it was as if she was merely telling Mist the day of the week, or reporting the weather outside, but Mist momentarily lost the ability to breathe, mouth open and closing like a stupid fish.

“Alright!” Her princess stood up all of a sudden, announcing cheerfully, though avoiding her gaze. “It’s getting late—I won’t keep you any longer.” Mist nodded mutely, her mind still buzzing like static. She stood up. “R-right. Of course,” she managed to respond as she got ready to leave. When she reached the door, she paused momentarily and turned. “Goodnight, Aurora.” It still felt improper to address her without the formal title, and Mist had to be sure not to slip up when they had company—but her name tasted so sweet on her lips, like honey, that she would willingly transgress the boundaries of class over and over again just to experience such joy.

The princess smiled at her, so delicate, so soft, so beautiful.

“Goodnight, Mist.”

As Mist shut the door behind her, she let out a long sigh. Aurora’s voice echoed in her mind, which was swarming with thoughts. On her way back to her chambers, she glanced up at the moon and her stars, shining down at her. The night was quiet, the sky cloudless, and normally she would have marvelled at the beauty of such a sight. But when she closed her eyes, all that surfaced was the gentle yet radiant smile of Princess Aurora. How could any being even dare to compete?
