WRH is a shadow character. Mostly mentioned in passing and accused of doing awful shit we don't see.
To the point I honestly thought that this was also part of the 'rumours vs truth' theme
and Wen Ruohan would end up being someone who had a lot more nuance to him.

Wen Ruohan and “evil Wens” at all are the characters that felt underdeveloped
like THE POTENTIAL! and yet they are reduced to the cardboard villains.
there are some hints that WRH loved his sons or that Wen Zhuliu had something (not necessarily romantic) with madam Yu in the past
and the whole phenomenon of the core melting is absolutely thrown out like mxtx didn't have time to explain it
....but I guess that's what fanfiction for and fanfics exploring Wen sect are my favorite
also yeah I found WRH being super strong and impossible to kill only for him to be stabbed by Meng Yao absolutely hillarious
