Ok, so I love this HC?
Like, the first time SQH sees SY glitch he is freaked tf out, but then finds it hilarious. Because 1. He’s a bit of a dick, and 2. SY is one of the sweetest people in their sect. The irony kills SQH.
And let’s say this also happens when SY is SQQ. Which makes it funnier because he’s a sweetie stuck as the scum villain. So one moment you see Shizun, but when he’s high-key panicking you see a nerdy 20-something year old who’s actually really cute, and when he’s super pissed it’s this dark mass with glowing green eyes and sharp teeth. And despite this SY still somehow accidentally winds up with a harem of men fawning over him! SQH wonders if he’s the only one who could see the glitches.
Yes, SY had nothing to do with PIDW, but he was Cucumber-bro, and SQH thinks that this is divine justice and karma for how much of an asshole SY was to him—the God of the world. They bicker about it constantly.
The real kicker? SQH can probably fix him. He just doesn’t.
I have this Shang Qinghua hc where he’s an actual all-out BAMF. Like, he knows how to kick ass and take names. He can fight better than everyone, he’s powerful af, and he’s practically perfect at anything he does. He created the PIDW world, and he bends it to his will. Like, he’s legit a God™️. And he keeps that tidbit to himself, but sometimes he has trouble hiding it.
One time he beat Liu Qingge in a brutal training fight (one that SQH didn’t even want to participate in), but accidentally-on-purpose trips and hurts himself afterwards, making everyone believe it was a one-off thing.
He’s a better cook than Luo Binghe, although no one knows that until the chef for A Ding gets sick and SQH has a bunch of starving kids to deal with.
SQH is also super charming and naturally flirtatious. He’s on the logistics peak, meaning he has to talk to merchants and negotiate prices and deals. He has a fucking silver tongue. Not in a slimy way, but in the same way as Binghe. (LBH got his personality from somewhere.) SQH’s charm was partially what got Mobei Jun to be interested enough not to kill him when they were teens.
SQH can use The System to his advantage and become omnipotent if he wanted to. He doesn’t, because it takes a lot of work, but he could. In fact, he hacked The System when he was still an infant, it does whatever he tells it. Including giving him infinity points. Sometimes it’ll give him a mission, but SQH treats it like an annoying pop-up ad.
SQH is ruthless, manipulative, and can crush anyone like an ant mentally, physically and emotionally. He actually put a lot of himself into LBH while writing the book. And he kind of regrets that because the two really can’t stand each other due to how similar they are. Although LBH doesn’t realize it.
His cultivation is top tier. He’s actually the strongest cultivator in the world—but it wasn’t because he worked his ass off. He just rigged the game.
I can see him acting pathetic and dramatic to deflect because then he’s underestimated af. Also, the fake tears? His son does the same exact thing. But SQH on the inside is highly amused by everything. Especially Binghe. He loves his son, and knows what LBH is capable of, but it only makes him laugh. Internally, of course. Like, this whole world is hilarious to him.
SQH is smart and because these are his creations, he can outsmart any of them. It’s lonely though, being a God among men. So, instead of using his actual abilities, he doesn’t. Why would he interfere with anyone’s lives? Why do anything for people who were cruel towards him at times, not realizing they should fear him. He has an ego, but at the same time what was the point? He’s a selfish and lazy God™️.
When Shen Yuan transmigrates into SQQ he becomes the only person Shang Qinghua doesn’t know how to read. And it’s refreshing, it makes SQH feel human for the first time in decades.
TL:DR - HC that SQH is a literal God™️ but keeps it a secret. He prefers being an underestimated dude.

Ok everyone hear me out what if Shen Yuan transmigrated into a An Ding disciple.
But here's the thing.
With virus Shang Qinghua.
Whoever he has transmigrated into has the same details as him. That's fine. He doesn't have to get used to a new identity.
As he is just recovering from the qi deviation (the original goods had a rather violent one, considering that he is from An Ding of all places) he hears a cheerful full, "Hey, Bro!" And the system screen flickers and Shen Yuan nearly manages a spiritual blast despite the lack of qi.

Apparently, this fellow transmigrator had to vacate the body he had transmigrated into, due to punishment protocol, and the original goods took his place.
He should've just died and left for Meng Po's soup, except the concept of death in PIDW wasn't exactly the most traditional and 'stay dead' kinda thing. And Airplane's sould didn't get a funeral ritual,as Shang Qinghua was walking around and scheming. Add this to the fact that he is a transmigrator and the punishment protocol wasn't supposed to kick his soul out, and his stubbornness to not die, and voilà!
You have a dead soul who is also a virus who is... admittedly helpful.
With Airplane's help, Shen Yuan is able to overthrow Shang Qinghua, and dodge any and all schemes that rat might have against him.
And deal with the colossal amount of paperwork.
Airplane, for the first part of this fic, gets to just walk around, and maybe follow Mobei when he's not with Cucumber -bro.
Shen Yuan's game plan is simple; when the time comes, snatch Luo Binghe up before Ning Yingying can even glance at him. Sure, Binghe will lose the childhood sweetheart trope wife, but they can still meet up! Would Binghe miss someone he hadn't even met?
Airplane Qinghua is pretty sure that his biggest hater is a closeted gay with a crush on his protagonist, but you know what? The monkeys might be his, but the circus is not. He can chill and watch with popcorn, once the sun moon dew mushrooms are ready.
Somewhere in the peak, the An Ding Peak Lord watches curiously, as head disciple Shen does attacks a letter with a rather fierce sneer, and wonders if the Qing Jing head disciple will greet him.

(I mean, Airplane being a virus isn't the main part, I guess. I completely missed the point. I'll tell you more later about what plans I have for Shang Qinghua.)

I like to imagine that they make up the endings for things they watched in their old world. They'll never see the actual finales, so why not make Airplane write it? Why not make Cucumber Bro do the hard work of coming up with the ending's content? They definitely talk about the things they couldn't explain away up there (especially after Liu Qingge asked who Hatsune Miku was).

I think it would be really funny if the reason we never learn Shang Qinhua’s birth name (as opposed to courtesy name) even in the flashbacks when he’s a disciple, is that he quite simply doesn’t remember it. He was born, gradually got his memories back, and went “ahhh fuck I transmigrated as Shang Qinghua” and that was it. he perceives himself as Shang Qinghua. Whenever someone calls him Shang ▉▉▉ he just kind of spaces out and then goes “wait- huh- that’s me!” Whenever someone asks his name, he stares at them blankly until someone else nearby offers it for him. When he finally gets his courtesy name he breathes a massive sigh of relief because oh god he kept almost saying Qinghua when people asked his name and that would have caused so many problems.
i find the hc that shang qinghua's pre-transmigration name was also shang qinghua hilarious for multiple reasons. like first of all why would he do that. ur telling me his heehee inside joke self-insert oc was the fucking rat murder man???? the truest reflection of himself was some guy whose only personality trait was being a traitor??? and he made him serve his ideal man for like ~30 yrs before killing him off like it was nothing??? name a duo more iconic than a shitty porn writer and their unaddressed childhood drama that they deal with by making poor writing choices.
SECONDLY it is well established that the name in itself is a homonym for "attend tsinghua" which is fine and dandy for a one-off two-bit villain's name but is crazy to give to your own CHILD. like as shitty as airplane's parents were are you really telling me they looked at their newborn child, back when their marriage was still somewhat stable, and were like "let's give him the name "Goto Harvard." holy shit no wonder hes such a trainwreck, he was doomed from the start.
