I’m so pissed, I wrote out a whole thing about this and tumblr just deleted it.
Anyway, I think it really depends on the situation. I’d say a moth on its own, not actively corrupting anything falls more under the Eye, whereas a moth infestation in your closet destroying your clothes is 100% corruption. I’d say 9/10 times moths are more Eye than Corruption, not only because the fake eyes match the aesthetic, but because I can also picture a statement about moths where someone with a fear of being watched keeps encountering moths with eyes, or maybe someone finds a moth with real eyes on its wings instead of fake ones.
I’d also like to submit for consideration, moths could be desolation. Moth to a flame and all that. I want Jude Perry or agnes x jack fanart with subtle moth themes. There’s a big missed opportunity for that in the fandom.

Sometimes I think about Agnes Montague.
I’ll realize that we never got her story from her. We got stories about her from the people around her. We never actually got to know who she was or at least who she thought she was. We never got to know her through her own lens, only the lens of others. She was known a messiah to those around her but did she see herself as one? We’ll never know.
Yeah, sometimes I think about her.
I need to shut up about Agnes Montague.

I can’t.
She never got to live a life outside of the Lightless Flame. She got to have a glimpse of a life she could have had when she kissed Jack Barnabas. But the cult got in the way, she had to go back to them, back to being a messiah. A thing to be worshipped but never getting to live her own life.
