Something I find interesting about this whole bullshit debate is the fact that so many people are getting angry over a retcon that adds very little of substance to the lore.
Don't get me wrong, the fact that there are female Custodians is good, and it's better to have diversity in your games, but in the grand scheme of the lore, what changes?
Also Warhammer has been around since 1987 (according to Wikipedia), retcons aren't abnormal, they're an inevitability. Why are you getting so worked up over there being muscle women protecting the patriarchy (hail the God-Emperor). Surely if you're going to get worked up over a retcon, then there must be something bigger than the fact that there are some female soldiers in a world where (as far as I'm aware) the only cannon gender exclusive army is the Sisters of Battle, who as the name implies, is entirely female.
Also, this is Warhammer, a hobby where men watch makeup tutorials to pain their tiny dolls. Why are they getting so worked up about this?

necrons are tactical droids.
and i kinda wanna make the sisters of battle jedi for some reason.

You found a Custodian! These are an incredibly treasured breed and their pedigree is nothing short of custom! I see fewer Custodians than Noise Marines, and if you've been following for a while, you know how elusive our beloved Kakophonii are!
Unfortunately, your visitor may not be able to stay long! Custodians are rarely strays, so they are likely there on some sort of mission! However, if they DO stick around, you have found a companion for life. They're low maintenance, incredibly loyal, and their profile excels in every field from sentry duty to frontline coordination! Simply make sure they have plenty of training ground and a well balanced diet (some handlers say the secret is an additional Omega-3 supplement twice a day, but you didn't hear that from me! ;)

And they likely never will! Custodian assignments can take years, decades or even centuries to fulfill. So, enjoy your good fortune while it lasts, this is truly a momentous occasion!
If conversation is what you're looking for, try asking them about art, philosophy, math and science! They don't like small talk, so odds are they'll open right up when you bring in more cerebral material!
