Absolutely Agree - Tumblr Posts
i like users on here who post a lot of 3-note flops despite also having a lot of bangers bc when someone has the kind of following that makes nearly every post go platinum they develop a certain specific Way of posting that's about as predictable as joss whedonisms meanwhile the baddies posting through their flop era are wild cards worth your attention
So. I DID watch Hazbin Hotel. And oh boy. So I'm going to give my critique on the show.
"antagonists and supporting" Characters- A bit better than Helluva. Studio oversight curbed some stuff. The characters somewhat had their own personalities in their dialogue. Some characters I thought could be cut out. I'm sorry but Sir Pentious is one of them. He's too cartoony even for this universe. He's annoying on the level jar jar binx was in star wars. Same with Mimzy. I think they could've done much better with Adam, but they just made him a dude bro? I did like the Seraphim sisters. Lute was just a bitchy, cynical, anime antagonist. Nifty was a bit aggravating too on the same level as Sir Pentious. I liked Husk as a character. Lucifer being a crushed dreamer fallen angel was actually interesting however his take on his people that he rules? Now if he was actively choosing to punish them himself using hells tools, it would be one thing? But he just has depression??? I guess? After thousands of years? Instead of trying to reconnect with his daughter, he just Mopes??? Like a sad boy??? No. Sorry. You lost me. Cherry Bomb? Meh. She's pretty shallowly written.
Now!
Main Characters -
Charlie- I hate her. I hate how fucking useless she is. She's the main protagonist for fucks sake. Now if she started like this and actually got better as the story went along in season 1, then alright. But she just gets her ass kicked and daddy has to save her skin. Way to take away her independence as a character.
Vaggie- I like Vaggies premise, but I hate the way her arc is executed. And the fact that she lets Lute live??? I'm sorry? WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?! No way. No how. Someone like her from a military background, or hells backdrop would let someone as callous as Lute live.
Alastor - he's my favorite character but, it's not his show. And it feels like it is. I love Alastor, he's the only entertainment I get from this show for the most part.
Angel - he's a characature. He is a walking stereotype. I know many people like him including the hypersexuality. Angel dust unless written for plot specific purposes only, is a very selfish unredeemable person. I'm sorry. He's being raped, and he still sexually harasses other people, knowing how it makes him feel? Now this would be great if we weren't supposed to feel bad for him right away, because it would show how abused can become abusers even if they don't mean too. And that could've been part of his arc to becoming a better person. But no.
The Vs - I like Vox. He's written to be genuinely manipulative, charismatic, and intimidating. I like Velvet too. I wish we knew anything about her. Valentino is written to be a villain, but some of his more childish moments are a bit of a movie mood killer.
On to the show as a whole.
So the most hated part of HH. Episode 4s infamous sexual assault scene. - I actually think it was very raw. It was done in an artistic taste. And I DEFINITELY think that if it wasn't taken from a SA fetishizer, it would've sat with me better. I understand what they were portraying and as someone who's had friends, gay men from the aids crisis era who have been SA, I see it but it's not done well. The only instance it's done well is when Angel is shown in the studio with Valentino especially when he tells Charlie to leave.
The build up and pay off issue - the music for the most part was good. OUT OF CONTEXT. I. Context it pays off without building up the conflict. It just resolves immediately. And these aren't Saturday morning cartoon conflicts. These are deep seeded emotional traumas between people. They don't resolve within one episode. These types of conflicts should resolve in 3 part episodes to 1 season. Yet again the Helluva problem shows up. Setting up too many character arcs and plotlines that cannot be properly resolved in the time span.
The finally- it was. Hot. Garbage. What the fuck was Charlie wearing to fight???? What the fuck???? Seriously???? And Angel???? In his booty shorts??? And we're supposed to take the extermination seriously??? HA! No. I do like in the episodes leading up to the finally, where Charlie and Emily rise against Heaven. I think they should have kept going with that moment in the song "If hell is forever, then Heaven must be a lie". It was very powerful and undermined immediately with "the big reveal!" Yuck. And don't even get me started on how NIFTY is the one who killed ADAM! SERIOUSLY? I think it was actually cool to see Alastor get HIS shit kicked in and see him crack under the pressure for once. I DO NOT like how Charlie's daddy had to come and fight her battles especially seeling as how he could do it the whole fucking time for thousands of years????!
as much as i appreciate the intent of the “being disabled doesn’t make you a burden” type posts, i don’t really agree. a lot of times being disabled DOES make you a burden
& i think that maybe we should try to shift focus to the fact that even if you’re a huge burden on society and can contribute absolutely nothing, you’re still a human being who deserves to exist.
like. there’s nothing morally wrong with being a burden on other people. you aren’t a bad person for needing to rely on others. you’re allowed to be a burden & disabled people who are burdens on others, i love you
Personally I think EVERYONE should do genetic testing before having a child. Because EVERYONE can have some funky genetics hiding that could show up in their kid.
Are you prepared to care for a child who has chronic pain? Are you willing care for a child with autism? Are you willing to care for a child with down syndrome? If not, then you shouldn't have kids at all, honestly, because it's a gamble.
Get the testing done and make an educated decision instead of just going at it. At least then, you can be semi-prepared.
Plus the fact that the risk of defects happening due to incest isn't that bad. Cousins having a kid only raises the likelihood from 3% to 4-6% (an estimate, as there isn't significant studies), which is hardly anything.
Even direct siblings only raises it to around 7%. And having a child when you're over 35 raises it to the same amount. So if we want to use this as a reason to ban sibling couples, then we'd have to be consistent and ban people older than 35 from having kids.
when people's only argument against family members safely and consensually dating is "their kids will be born with genetic defects!!!1!!" I'm consistently just flabbergasted by the tone deaf eugenicist ass ableism. like. okay so. my mother, who is disabled by a hereditary auto immune disease that causes chronic pain , should not have had me because I would be born with genetic defects? my mom should not be loved or be in a relationship because any child she has would be born with genetic defects? what is this logic. until someone can give me a real answer as to why consensual incestuous relationships are ACTUALLY BAD I'm completely in support of them. sorry. love is love
@smallalchemist
Repeat after me, kids: your significant other liking multiple genders does nothing to invalidate the fact that they like you best.
I just want to say:
People, who can draw on their PCs/laptops with a mouse, on phones, on their tablets, on paper, or do any other art such as music, crafts and etc.
You are amazing. You have no idea. And I know that sounds silly. But I’m honest here right now. Thank you.
(Sorry, it’s just me being me. Because all of these… really do amaze me at some point… you have no idea.)
Hey y'all jsyk, if you support Donald Trump, DNI.
Belting Home at the top of my lungs surrounded by hundreds of other queer teens and young adults while Cavetown themself runs around stage with a trans flag was a religious experience actually
i love reading fix-it fics where Sam and Dean are actually there for Cas and then I remember that Cas is a character who actually canonically tried to avert a civil war on his own, drowned in a lake alone, was tortured by his family alone, lived on the streets alone, went to die in a motel alone, suffered through ptsd alone, faced the imminent extinction of his own kind alone, grieved the death of his son alone, and I just
fr tho 😫‼️
people who put their diet/calorie counting/pro-4n4 content in the ED Recovery tag...

STUPID NINJAGO SKYBOUND RANT INCOMING FEEL FREE TO SKIP
This is just my opinion, so if you disagree, that is completely fine lmao
[S6, E5: On a Wish and a Prayer]
Cole, Nya, and Lloyd did not need to treat Jay the way they did on that island. This part of the episode pissed me off immensely.
I completely understand why they were mad at him, in fact a actually understand why they were so harsh to him, but why the fuck, why the fuck, would you make his ass get the tiger widow vemon, alone??? I am going to grab all three of yall by yall plastic necks, istg-
Jay: "Haven't I suffered enough?"
Lloyd, Cole, and Nya: "No!"
Jay literally told them about all the things that could happen if he went in alone, and they just looked at him and said nothing. Nothing. At least one of them could have helped him, but nope. Just let him do it by himself.
Again, I get why they were so harsh to him, but that doesn't mean they had to send Jay in there alone, to potentially get himself killed (He lived and got the vemon, thankfully.)
Anyway rant over.
I'm still very confused about how would Steve know about the truth of who killed Tony's parents.
People say the in the end of the first Cap movie, the last scene, it was hinted that he'd know. But I seriously don't remember that
And even when Steve worked for SHIELD, not even them know who actually was the Winter Soldier, and when Steve figured who it was, all the files from SHIELD were already released by Natasha. So if Steve knew, Tony would also know. Because they'd have access to same files, and everybody knew Bucky Barnes from the WWW2
So, how would Steve know? Canonically, within all the movies?
I think the scene you are referring is the one in the former SHIELD hideout in that one abandoned military complex Steve and Natasha go to. While talking to Zola, who boasts about Hydra having influenced internationally important events, there's a monitor that shows a bunch of pictures in quick succession. One of them was an article about Howard and Maria Stark's death in a car crash. The problem is... it's blink and you miss it. I watched the movie several times and you only recognise it if you pause. I never did that. That's why Steve's confession that he knew about Bucky killing Tony's parents came at a total surprise to me. I even thought that Steve was lying to divert Tony's anger from Bucky to himself. I only came upon a post about this one scene months later and realistically, I don't know how Steve was supposed to see this headline about Howard dying and immediately conclude that Bucky was the one who killed him. Maybe I'm not remembering the conversation right, but it just didn't make sense to me for the longest time. Now I know that the Russos simply needed to sow some conflict for Civil War. Which is why Steve does something that seems so out of character for him.
You are right that logically, Tony definitely should have known the truth about his parents' murder. As long as the Winter Soldier files were uploaded along with all the others. I don't really remember if they were, however, so I'd be grateful if someone else could chime in and clear this up for us. In this scenario, Tony could have easily found out the truth, if he bothered to have one of his AIs sort through the material, at least. And if he didn't then… that's kind of on him. Steve could have easily believed that Tony knew all along and still taken the blame in the hopes of distracting Tony from Bucky. But Steve antis are so focused on blaming Steve for every wrong ever committed in the MCU (and comics) that we can't have that discussion.
