Harry Potter drabble.

Wolfstar pining.

Cross-posted on AO3

Remus Lupin sat in the Gryffindor common room, a book in his hands but his mind far away. He couldn't concentrate on the words on the page, his thoughts consumed by a certain messy-haired boy with twinkling eyes and a mischievous smile.

Sirius Black.

They had been friends since their first year at Hogwarts, but lately Remus had been feeling something more than friendship towards Sirius. He couldn't deny the way his heart raced whenever Sirius was near, or the way his stomach fluttered when Sirius flashed him a grin.

But Remus knew he couldn't act on his feelings. He was a werewolf, an outcast, and he didn't want to burden Sirius. After all, he and James and Peter had already done so much for him. asking for more would be selfish. So he kept his feelings hidden, buried deep inside where no one could see them.

"Hey, Moony," Sirius said, plopping down on the couch next to Remus. "What are you reading?"

Remus glanced down at the book in his hands, realizing he hadn't even turned a page since Sirius had sat down. "Oh, just some Defense Against the Dark Arts textbook," he mumbled.

Sirius raised an eyebrow. "You know, you don't have to pretend to be studying all the time. We're in our seventh year, Moony. Live a little."

Remus couldn't help but smile at Sirius's easygoing nature. He was always so carefree, so full of life. It was one of the things Remus loved most about him.

"Maybe you're right," Remus said, closing the book and setting it aside. "What do you suggest we do instead?"

Sirius grinned mischievously. "I have an idea. Follow me."

Remus followed Sirius out of the common room and down the winding corridors of Hogwarts, their footsteps echoing in the empty halls. They finally came to a stop in front of a tapestry depicting a group of dancing trolls.

"Watch this," Sirius said, pulling out his wand and tapping the tapestry. The trolls suddenly came to life, dancing and twirling around in a lively jig.

Remus couldn't help but laugh at the sight. Sirius always knew how to make him smile, even in the darkest of times, like after a particularly bad moon.

As the trolls continued their dance, Sirius turned to Remus with a twinkle in his eye. "You know, Moony, I've been meaning to tell you something."

Remus's heart skipped a beat. Was this it? Was Sirius finally going to confess his feelings?

"I... I think you're the best friend I've ever had," Sirius said, his voice soft and sincere. "I don't know what I would do without you, Moony."

Remus felt a pang of disappointment at Sirius's words, then immediately felt guilty. Sirius hadn't done anything wrong. He had hoped for something more, something deeper. But he pushed those feelings aside, plastering a smile on his face. It was selfish to want anything else.

"I feel the same way, Padfoot," Remus said, his voice steady despite the turmoil in his heart. "You're my best friend too."

Sirius grinned, pulling Remus into a tight hug. "I'm glad we're on the same page, Moony. Now, let's go cause some more mischief, shall we?"

And as they walked back to the Gryffindor common room, Remus couldn't help but feel grateful for the friendship he shared with Sirius. Maybe one day, he would find the courage to tell Sirius how he truly felt. But for now, he was content to bask in the warmth of their friendship, knowing that Sirius would always be by his side, no matter what.

Whatever you do, don't think of Sirius Black.

Don't think of Sirius Black spending his twenty-first birthday surrounded by his family and friendsband boyfriend.

Don't think of him spending his twenty-second birthday alone, mourning his brother and cursing his best friend's name and looking at the moon because it reminds him of his boyfriend, who he now believes hates him.

Don't think of the fact that he was barely old enough to drink when he got sentenced to life in the most horrible place on earth, so horrific that people went insane.

Don't think of him spending hours and hours and hours as a black dog, crying on the floor of his cold cell, clinging to the knowledge that he is innocent as the only thing keeping him sane.

Don't think of him promising himself every night that one day, he will set the record straight.

Don't think of him slowly losing hope.

DP X DC PROMT: JASON IS CHOSEN TO RAISE DANNY

Danny's core was broken, shattered and almost irreparable. The damage would take decades to heal in his teenage body, seeing as it didn't have much room to grow or mutate to adult size. The only option is to de-age him and let him rebuild his ghost core naturally.

The issue with this is that he can't be in the infinite realms while he does so if he wants to conserve his halfa status. Too much ectoplasm at once would overload the kids body and kill him, while to little would ensure that he developed just a little to liminal to be ordinary, but not liminal enough to be considered a halfa.

The obvious solution? Send the kid to a location on earth so steeped in ectoplasm that he will have no problem filtering it form his surroundings, even with a broken core. The issue with this? The only place to match this criteria is either the compound of a psycho assassin demon king, or Gotham city. Obviously, they're not sending Danny to this League of Assassins, leaving Gotham. The issue lies in the fact that Gotham has a huge amount of ectoplasm, but it's been so corrupted over the years that unless a liminal is born there, the sudden overload of rotten ectoplasm is enough to put most limimals down for the count for at least a couple years.

The solution? A halfa guardian. The only issue is finding one. Clockwork refuses to let Vlad take custody of Danny, Dani is too young, and Dan too volatile. Luckily for them, there is a halfa currently residing in Gotham City, specifically, the Red Hood, the Avenger of Spirits, a moniker granted to him by the many people who died in Gotham that he, well, avenged.

He fits all the criteria for a guardian. He can keep the de-aged Danny safe because he's Red Hood, no one in the infinite realms can argue with the placement because he is also a halfa, he is Jason Todd, the son of a billionaire, and can teach Danny how to win people over, not to mention the fact that he is a crime lord, and can teach Danny how to run a, well, not quite a kingdom, but close enough.

Danny is de-aged, losing his memories of anything after about the age of two years. Jason wakes up one morning to a toddler on his doorstep with black hair with a white streak and Lazarus green eyes, tucked into a fluffy red blanket with a stuffed ghost plushie and a letter.

The letter essentially says:

Jason, you are the best option to raise him. His name is Danny.

Jason, quite understandably, freaks out.
