DPxDC PROMPT ---- Self-Defense
Danny gets a job in Gotham as a self-defense instructor.
It satisfies his protection obsession, because he's teaching people to protect themselves.
He is teaching at a local gym. Basically, the gym gives classes, and finally decided to institute a bit of self-defense in the curriculum, because it's Gotham, after all. (Don't ask me why they didn't have it before, idk)
And Danny came rolling in with fake credentials, beat the other applicants, and got the job.
Jason has been going to this gym since he returned to Gotham, so he decides, what the hell, might as well try this class. it'll probably be a light, relaxing thing.
Wrong.
The first time Danny and Jason spar to gage Jason's skill level, Jason holds back, so Danny wins, but Danny requests a rematch, because he can tell Jason's not giving it his all.
Five minutes later, Jason is on his back on the mat, gazing up into sky blue eyes, and he hasn't been thrown like this in years. He was too big once he came out of the Pit, and honestly, the fact that this guy can manhandle, flip, and pin all 6' 4'' of him is extremely hot.
Danny is happy because he's fulfilling his obsession. Meanwhile Jason is pining for this man, and Danny is oblivious. Jason is slowly dropping hints of his interest, and Danny is misconstruing them in a platonic context, and Jason is getting to know him and falling more and more in love.
You know what, what the hell, let's add de-aged Dani in too.
One day, Jason follows Danny home. (he's a bat, they don't do boundaries like normal people do.)
He sees him head to an elementary school, and panics because is this perfect soulmate of his, like, a kidnapper or something?
He sees him pick Dani up and resigns himself to following this guy because he might be involved in trafficking thing or something, and then he's duty bound to shoot Danny, which is really quite a pity.
Instead, he sees them go home, and Danny being a good Dad, and he's just like "aaaaahhhh he's a good parent how many boxes can he check that i didn't know i had."
Eventually they end up dating. Don't quite know how it happens, but it does.
Talia is holding Damian and she introduces him to Dick.
"That's your brother, Damian."
Damian does not really know what a brother is, but Dick does, and he's always wanted a little baby brother to dote on and hug and teach.
At first, Dick is a little apprehensive, because even though he's been introduced as Damian's brother, he feels like he might be replaced.
Then, one day, he's doing cartwheels across the huge lawn of Wayne Manor, and Damian comes outside. Dick doesn't notice him at first, but after he's done with a series of cartwheels and stands up, and he sees Damian, a tiny little four-year-old, trying to copy him and getting frustrated when he keeps failing and falling on his butt.
Dick helps him with the cartwheels and that is the day that he starts to really see Damian as his brother and that is the day that Dick becomes Damian's favorite person in the world.
Additionally, the Joker mysteriously dies two weeks after the Al Ghuls arrive in Gotham. Bruce looks over at Talia suspiciously over dinner that night, but he can't prove anything, so he goes back to his mashed potatoes without a word.
Tim and Damian hit it off at a gala and Talia notices the small signs of neglect that the kid is showing. She does a bit of digging and finds the horrible parent situation, remembering exactly what happened to Tim in her previous timeline.
Jason joins the family as usual, through the stealing of the Batmobile's tires, and Talia makes sure that he never ends up in the Lazarus Pits.
Bonus points if Selina, Talia, Harley, Babs, and Ivy meet up every few weeks to just chat about things.
Taila goes back in time
She goes back in time to when Damian is about 4. He has just started lessons. Talia is back for about a week. She knows she should tell her father but something is holding her back. it's when she goes to see Damian and overhears him trying to muffle his cries in his bedroom that she thinks about doing something else.
She remembers seeing her son thriving with his father. Comfortable seeking out comfort with his siblings and being a child. She thought of it as a weakness at that point but when she hears his cries she realizes that she does not want him to go back to the cold and angry child he was.
She's not being watched as there is nothing that could preemptive her to leave that her father knows of so she has an easy time being able to contact Bruce. She gets Damien ready and says it's very important training and not to tell anyone. She does not tell Bruce Why she contacted him, so he is expecting some sort of plot or her giving him information on one of her enemies, not a son.
She shows up to the meeting rattled. She tries to get a gauge of his feelings towards her at the moment and is very pleasantly surprised when he is defensive but not hostile. Bruce notices that she's rattled and gets very concerned.
She then brings out Damien. He shocked and is expecting her to make an ultimatum when she blurts out she wants them to leave. it catches him completely off guard because every time he mentioned her leaving she made it sound like it was a foolish idea.
He agrees to take her back with him and to protect her from her father. she does not tell him about the time travel but she does tell him about what made her want to leave. Using it to appeal to his empathetic side as to let her stay with him. She does not realize that he had no plans of separating her from her son.
Dick is about 14. He is very on edge and scared of his place at the Manor. his father figure just came back with a blood son and the mom. Dick is inspecting to be regaled to the background or kicked out. Talia is the one to reassure him accidentally when he comes to see Damien and she calls them siblings. She knew him as her son's favorite brother obviously she's going to refer to them as siblings.
Ooh the angst potential

The self is not so weightless, nor whole and unbroken Remember the pact of our youth
Whatever you do, don't think of Sirius Black.
Don't think of Sirius Black spending his twenty-first birthday surrounded by his family and friendsband boyfriend.
Don't think of him spending his twenty-second birthday alone, mourning his brother and cursing his best friend's name and looking at the moon because it reminds him of his boyfriend, who he now believes hates him.
Don't think of the fact that he was barely old enough to drink when he got sentenced to life in the most horrible place on earth, so horrific that people went insane.
Don't think of him spending hours and hours and hours as a black dog, crying on the floor of his cold cell, clinging to the knowledge that he is innocent as the only thing keeping him sane.
Don't think of him promising himself every night that one day, he will set the record straight.
Don't think of him slowly losing hope.
Ok so did anyone else know that ATYD apparently has its own fucking Wikipedia page? Cause I sure didn't.

But yeah. Its RIGHT THERE. OMG.
DPXDC PROMPT: CASS AND DANNY
so i've seen a bunch of things where jason, or damian, or tim, or dick adopt danny. hear me out. Cass does.
Cass adopts Danny.
Danny gets de-aged, and dumped in Gotham to keep him safe from the GIW and Vlad and his parents. Cass is very liminal because of her time in the league, with a mainly empathy-based power set, and during one patrol, she feels something weird coming from an alley.
She turns off her comms, then goes to investigate and finds smol Danny in a dumpster, trying to find food. He immediately clocks her as liminal so he trusts her purely because he knows she won’t turn him in to the government. Cass, meanwhile, is drawn to the small child, and turns her comms back on long enough to say “Babs, Bat-doption papers,” before scooping up the toddler and bringing him back to the cave.
Danny is strongly reminded of Jazz, and he is completely fine with whatever is happening, because this liminal woman dressed as a bat found him, and then used empathy and a little ghostspeak to communicate what is happening, so he just relaxes into Cass’s arms.
Cass returns to the cave, and when asked why she has a child, she simply takes the stack of adoption papers Babs has set up, along with a tablet, puts her new kid to bed and falsifies some records to make him her legal son. Any attempts at questioning where she got Danny result in neutrally blank looks and Cass’s insistence that he is, and has always been, her son.
Bruce had been forced to bed early by Alfred for this patrol, and by the time he wakes up, eight hours of much-needed rest later, his children have come to the agreement that it’ll be really fun to fuck with his head, so he wakes up to a small child jumping on him, and, wondering whether he sleep-adopted another child, inquires as to Danny’s origins during breakfast. When he does, Tim looks shocked, Damian’s eyes widen as if he can’t believe his eyes, Cass looks betrayed, and the rest of the table just freezes.
Hurriedly trying to fix his misstep, he asks what he said wrong, and Steph wraps her arm around Cass, picking Danny up, all while looking disappointed.
Alfred finally breaks the silence by asking “Master Bruce, have you forgotten your grandson?”
Bruce bluescreens. He figures out six hours later that while the kid is legally his grandson, he wasn’t present until last night, and he goes through the same process of questioning Cass and Steph about where they got the baby. The two women refuse to give any answer other than “he’s ours”.
Danny has now been adopted by a whole family of Liminals. There’s even a halfa, who reminds him a little of Dan, and he is very happy.
Duke absolutely adores his nephew. He quickly becomes Danny's favorite person outside of Cass, Steph, and Alfred.
DC SHORT FIC : DAMIJON ANGST
It is dark when Jon holds him for the last time.
The dusk is deepening into twilit night, sky bruising purple like his love’s skin, darkness snuffing out the light in his emerald eyes, the ones that always mesmerized Jon to no end.
He would stare at them for hours if he could, hands clasped together and time frozen at a standstill, infinity in perfect, flawless viridian.
He never realized how much emotion was in Damian’s eyes until it was gone, a spark destroyed, overtaken by too much shadow, not enough life left. The crystal clarity, sharp and cutting, analyzing him, is gone, a glazed expression to move no more.
Jon raises a hand to Damian’s face. He sweeps back a lock of hair that has fallen across his cheek, a brushstroke of ebony so similar to the ones he uses to shape faces on canvas. It’s soft, he realizes. Soft, and Jon leans down, burying his face in the space between his best friend’s neck and shoulder. Damian smells like dirt and blood and smoke and fire, but underneath there is an undercurrent of the shampoo he used this morning before they suited up and left for this mission. It’s Jon’s shampoo that Damian had taken a liking to.
He wants to cry. To rage and scream and destroy, because what is the point of living if his love is dead, if the only one he’s ever truly needed, the only one who’d never leave him, is gone, gone to the one place Jon cannot reach, no matter how far or fast he flies.
His ears are ringing. He doesn’t know why. He’s invulnerable, after all.
Jon holds him close, like he did when they were young, Robin and Superboy, like he did when they were teenagers, Damian and Jon, like he does now, Batman and Superman, two halves of a whole, teammates and partners and best friends and lovers. Colleagues and roommates and supporters of each other. Sweethearts and admirers, paramours and beloveds.
He holds him tight, a hug like the ones they give each other before they leave for patrol and an embrace like the ones when they reunite again. Like the ones he gave at sleepovers and on long stakeouts, beach days and picnics in the Metropolis Parks because Gotham was too dangerous for a date as civilians.
Jon kisses bloodstained lips and watches emerald fade, and then he stands up.
He leaves his beloved’s side and he runs towards the enemy, a war cry to rival his father’s falling from his lips as tears carve tracks on bloody, muddy cheeks.
The enemy falls.
A green spear is thrown as he does, finding its target just a little off, in a stomach instead of a heart.
Jon goes back to Damian. The green of the glowing Kryptonite looks like his love’s eyes, and he smiles, a broken, ugly, beautiful thing.
He pulls it out of his stomach and tosses it aside with human strength. He holds Damian as twilight fades to midnight, and the light is taken from electric, unnatural blue.
Their families will find them, in the wee hours of the morning, and they will cry and scream and wail.
It is of no avail, Fate and Death long run their course.
Before they leave, as Fate calls to her partner of eons, Death will raise their hand to their face and place something in the palm of the lover’s hands, an apology of sorts for two lives, two souls so perfect for each other, cut short.
None of their families will see the pearl, hidden in their intertwined hands. None but an Amazon. She will pluck the pearl from the pair and place it somewhere hidden, somewhere safe. Death does not cry for just anyone, after all.
DP X DC PROMT: JASON IS CHOSEN TO RAISE DANNY
Danny's core was broken, shattered and almost irreparable. The damage would take decades to heal in his teenage body, seeing as it didn't have much room to grow or mutate to adult size. The only option is to de-age him and let him rebuild his ghost core naturally.
The issue with this is that he can't be in the infinite realms while he does so if he wants to conserve his halfa status. Too much ectoplasm at once would overload the kids body and kill him, while to little would ensure that he developed just a little to liminal to be ordinary, but not liminal enough to be considered a halfa.
The obvious solution? Send the kid to a location on earth so steeped in ectoplasm that he will have no problem filtering it form his surroundings, even with a broken core. The issue with this? The only place to match this criteria is either the compound of a psycho assassin demon king, or Gotham city. Obviously, they're not sending Danny to this League of Assassins, leaving Gotham. The issue lies in the fact that Gotham has a huge amount of ectoplasm, but it's been so corrupted over the years that unless a liminal is born there, the sudden overload of rotten ectoplasm is enough to put most limimals down for the count for at least a couple years.
The solution? A halfa guardian. The only issue is finding one. Clockwork refuses to let Vlad take custody of Danny, Dani is too young, and Dan too volatile. Luckily for them, there is a halfa currently residing in Gotham City, specifically, the Red Hood, the Avenger of Spirits, a moniker granted to him by the many people who died in Gotham that he, well, avenged.
He fits all the criteria for a guardian. He can keep the de-aged Danny safe because he's Red Hood, no one in the infinite realms can argue with the placement because he is also a halfa, he is Jason Todd, the son of a billionaire, and can teach Danny how to win people over, not to mention the fact that he is a crime lord, and can teach Danny how to run a, well, not quite a kingdom, but close enough.
Danny is de-aged, losing his memories of anything after about the age of two years. Jason wakes up one morning to a toddler on his doorstep with black hair with a white streak and Lazarus green eyes, tucked into a fluffy red blanket with a stuffed ghost plushie and a letter.
The letter essentially says:
Jason, you are the best option to raise him. His name is Danny.
Jason, quite understandably, freaks out.
DP X DC PROMT: ATLANTIS
Maddie and Jack did not react well to Danny being a ghost. They immediately attempted to catch him and experiment on him.
Jazz had enough time to throw a duffle bag of clothes and stuff at him and tell him to run. Danny rushed over to Sam's house, and she called Tucker, who came rushing over in a hurry. They added some money and tech to the duffle, before the Fenton parents came knocking at the door to Sam's house, inquiring as to their son's whereabouts.
Danny went ghost and jumped out the window.
He travels for days, aimlessly stopping in several cities, such as Gotham, Metropolis, and Star City. In all of them, though, the Fentons manage to track him down through ecto-location tech.
Danny has been in his ghost form for days now, and hasn't had access to enough ectoplasm to keep him fully solid, so he has essentially vaporized his legs into a tail to conserve energy.
He also has not slept in far longer than is advisable, so his sleep-deprived brain decides "fuck it, I look like a mermaid, why not try to live in the ocean? It's not like my parents can get to me there."
Aquaman is extremely concerned about the new, apparently super-powerful, mer that has appeared recently near the outskirts of his kingdom.
Brad Wayne Idea- He Must be The Red Hood
Ok. So I really think the idea of brad Wayne is hilarious, but what if....
At some Wayne charity gala or something, the joker decides to crash the party. Brad has been here for all of a week, and doesn't know shit about how Gotham works, especially not the rogues. So he sees this guy in a weird suit break into his new families gala acting like a lunatic, and the man just decks him. Just. Annihilates. The. Joker.
The joker goes down, and there's this instant of silence , before the entirety of the gala just erupts into cheers. The bat kids are standing there, dumbstruck, Bruce is halfway out the door, frozen, Damian has taken emotional damage because he, Robin, has never been able to punch the Jokers lights out, and Brad has become Jason's new favorite sibling.
The entire thing is televised, or recorded or something, and it goes viral almost instantaneously.
The Internet begins to circulate with rumors. After all, there is no way a non- vigilante could do this to the most feared, violent, and psychopathic rogue in Gotham.
Unless one is equally as feared, violent, and psychopathic. Such as the Red Hood, crime lord, murderer, the best and worst of Gotham, unstable on a good day.
The world comes to a conclusion.
Bradley Wayne is the Red Hood.
Meanwhile, Jason is sitting in one of his safehouses watching the clip of the joker getting his nose broken on repeat, laughing his ass off at the crazy theories.
The pit rage is quiet for the first time in ages.

Remus Lupin sat in the Gryffindor common room, a book in his hands but his mind far away. He couldn't concentrate on the words on the page, his thoughts consumed by a certain messy-haired boy with twinkling eyes and a mischievous smile.
Sirius Black.
They had been friends since their first year at Hogwarts, but lately Remus had been feeling something more than friendship towards Sirius. He couldn't deny the way his heart raced whenever Sirius was near, or the way his stomach fluttered when Sirius flashed him a grin.
But Remus knew he couldn't act on his feelings. He was a werewolf, an outcast, and he didn't want to burden Sirius. After all, he and James and Peter had already done so much for him. asking for more would be selfish. So he kept his feelings hidden, buried deep inside where no one could see them.
"Hey, Moony," Sirius said, plopping down on the couch next to Remus. "What are you reading?"
Remus glanced down at the book in his hands, realizing he hadn't even turned a page since Sirius had sat down. "Oh, just some Defense Against the Dark Arts textbook," he mumbled.
Sirius raised an eyebrow. "You know, you don't have to pretend to be studying all the time. We're in our seventh year, Moony. Live a little."
Remus couldn't help but smile at Sirius's easygoing nature. He was always so carefree, so full of life. It was one of the things Remus loved most about him.
"Maybe you're right," Remus said, closing the book and setting it aside. "What do you suggest we do instead?"
Sirius grinned mischievously. "I have an idea. Follow me."
Remus followed Sirius out of the common room and down the winding corridors of Hogwarts, their footsteps echoing in the empty halls. They finally came to a stop in front of a tapestry depicting a group of dancing trolls.
"Watch this," Sirius said, pulling out his wand and tapping the tapestry. The trolls suddenly came to life, dancing and twirling around in a lively jig.
Remus couldn't help but laugh at the sight. Sirius always knew how to make him smile, even in the darkest of times, like after a particularly bad moon.
As the trolls continued their dance, Sirius turned to Remus with a twinkle in his eye. "You know, Moony, I've been meaning to tell you something."
Remus's heart skipped a beat. Was this it? Was Sirius finally going to confess his feelings?
"I... I think you're the best friend I've ever had," Sirius said, his voice soft and sincere. "I don't know what I would do without you, Moony."
Remus felt a pang of disappointment at Sirius's words, then immediately felt guilty. Sirius hadn't done anything wrong. He had hoped for something more, something deeper. But he pushed those feelings aside, plastering a smile on his face. It was selfish to want anything else.
"I feel the same way, Padfoot," Remus said, his voice steady despite the turmoil in his heart. "You're my best friend too."
Sirius grinned, pulling Remus into a tight hug. "I'm glad we're on the same page, Moony. Now, let's go cause some more mischief, shall we?"
And as they walked back to the Gryffindor common room, Remus couldn't help but feel grateful for the friendship he shared with Sirius. Maybe one day, he would find the courage to tell Sirius how he truly felt. But for now, he was content to bask in the warmth of their friendship, knowing that Sirius would always be by his side, no matter what.

What do these two pictures have in common? The red shoes.
There is a fan theory that because of the extra toe joint that being Quirkless gives you, Quirkless people have to wear special made shoes, that only come in bright red. Midoriya Izuku, diagnosed Quirkless, wears these shoes during both his middle school and UA days, even integrating them into his hero costume.
Shigaraki Tomura wears the same shoes when he attacks USJ.
What does this mean? I have an idea.
It is canon that Shigaraki scratches at his neck nearly constantly, as well as appears to have very dry skin. What if his decay quirk was actually not his?
Shigaraki was born Quirkless, hence the late "manifestation" of his quirk. However, he never had a quirk. Instead, All for One saw a young, impressionable child with a bad home situation and discreetly gave him an extraordinarily destructive quirk. When the quirk activated, Shigaraki dusted his family and home, and All for One took the opportunity to emotionally manipulate him into becoming his successor. However, he still had the extra toe joint, and the fact that his quirk is Decay, which most likely does something to the moisture in something and then turns it to dust, could dehydrate him, meaning that he would feel constantly itchy and need to scratch himself to feel better.

Newest dc one shot. What it says on the tin.

So basically I wrote an angsty dc one shot. Now here we are, and I have created a series.
