I already know people are going to be tired of me because I am going to “MY HUSBAND” yall to death.
I’ve dreamed of this day since forever.
I used to want to have a big wedding with all of my family and friends there and all of my husbands family and friends there to celebrate us and watch us unite as one, but now I will be totally okay with me and him having a small private ceremony with just a person standing with each of us and then having a big reception so everyone can celebrate with us after we say I DO!!!
I am trying to remain obedient and be patient because Gods timing is always perfect! My husband is on the way❤️🫶🏾

June 16,2011 will forever be a day that I will never forget. The weekend before right before I left out to go back to school, I told you that I would see you again that upcoming weekend and you said ok. I missed your forehead before heading out and told you I love you. You said I love you too.
I walked out the door and traveled back to school only to have a very vivid dream Wednesday night/Thursday morning of you coming to me in my dream and talking to me and at the end of the dream you turned and walked up a huge staircase that was lid up so bright. You turned and looked at me and smiled. You waved and blew me a kiss. God took your hand and you never looked back again.
I had a test that day at school (I had taken summer classes that year to keep myself busy), but I got a call from my mom asking me what my schedule was looking like and asked me to come home. I knew something was going on because why would my mom ask me to come home randomly in the middle of the week and we don’t have a trip planned. As well I had missed calls and text from people that usually only hit your line when something tragic has happened.
I drove home, on my way home with that 1.5 hour commute I drove in complete silence , which is weird because I usually have complete concerts in the car lol
I remember pulling into your driveway, I got out Deion was outside piddling around and someone was in the backyard. I walked in and my mom, Pearl, Dana and a few others were sitting at the table. I spoke, but looked right past them towards the back room at the couch were you had been laying Sunday when I saw you before I left. You weren’t there. When I asked “where is Maw” the response was “she’s gone” I lost it. I screamed out and my heart shattered into a billion different pieces.
That dream I had was real. You had passed on over to the other side and you came to see me before you entered the gates. My heart is still missing pieces. You definitely took those pieces with you when you left this earth.
I love you with all my heart and soul. I miss you so much, but at the same time I am grateful that you don’t have to be here to witness all of this mess that has entered this earth.
13 years without you seems like a lifetime, but I hold onto the memories of you. You will forever be in my heart. I love you so much my girl!

This Father’s Day makes my 26th Father’s Day with my dad not being here on earth so we can celebrate with him. This day is an amazing day for all the fathers that are here and are present, and I love seeing all the pictures and post of the families celebrating the fathers and men in their lives, but at the same time I am always a little on edge because I’m some what jealous or envious that my dad isn’t here for me to celebrate with him, but it gets easier with time right?
I’ve come to realize that, that saying isn’t true at all, it doesn’t get easier with time… you just simply learn to live on without that person being present physically in your life on a daily basis. As I said this is my 26th Father’s Day without my dad and I’m still like a lost little girl when this holiday comes around.! So as my post says, hug your dad tight, because I surely miss mine. 💔

Yall when I tell you I live for a good D.I.Y. Craft, I mean it. I love seeing a vision and going for it. I don’t have a husband to create things for YET (he’s coming though, I know it) and my dad is celebrating another Father’s Day in heaven (Happy Father’s Day to you in heaven Dad. Miss and love you so much). So for now, I create the crafts for my brother who is an awesomely fantastic dad!
I cannot wait to celebrate my husband with D.I.Y. Gifts… not only on holidays, but as well as just because days!
This craft didn’t cost too much and was fun to make. My brother loves to be on the grill, so I what’s better than a D.I.Y. grill?! I got the bowls from the dollar tree or what I now call the dollar twenty five store lol. Thankfully I had black spray paint at the house from a previous project… the skewers I got from the dollar tree. The grill towel came from the dollar tree and the condiment bottles.
I can’t wait to see my brothers reaction when he gets his gift.!
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there showing up and playing your part like a real man should! Also not taking away from the men, but Happy Father’s Day to the women that are having to play both roles as mother and father as well!
