There was a silence at the shore today. Salty wind blew Grian's dirty blond hair around his face. Even from this new perspective, he could describe the color of the water. It was too luminescent and pure to put into words, but Mumbo did so anyway, emptying the pit in Grian deeper.

"It's incredible..." Mumbo muttered, "what do you call that? Pearlesent blue-green?"

"I don't think we've got a Crayola for this yet," Scar chuckled nervously.

"Tell me when it drops!" Ren joked.

Doc was just as silent as Grian. Doc wanted to define and bring names and explanations for everything he was seeing and categorize it into facts... But there was a wall of iridescent water no more than meter in front of the group. Doc was wrong. It wasn't consistent; it was exponential and there was limited time before it went all the way up. The light that drifted through it danced on the sand. Doc wanted, as much to disprove it, to reach down and touch the glassy light and take it with him.

Grian knelt down and grabbed some of the sand in the effected light zone. He let it fall through his fingers, and his eyes softened at its crystal disguise. It was just sand, but it too was beautiful. It was light and airy and smooth.

"I'm getting a little freaked out to be honest," Ren muttered, "I think I'm gonna head home."

"I'm gonna second Ren," Scar eased.

"You guys don't have to stay," Grian breathed.

Scar and Ren began to walk away. Mumbo hesitated to leave, but he didn't know what he was doing here, so he turned and left.

Doc and Grian were silent for several more moments before Doc asked a question:

"Don't you want to go down there?"

"More than anything."

Doc knelt down and put his hand in the warm water. "We're going down."

HCAU #13

Well, it's been a sec since I've posted one of these, but here goes:

Mumbo is enjoying a lovely day on the Hermitcraft server

Tommy is bullying CG5 while playing hide and seek

Then, out of nowhere, the servers are thrown into disarray! Tommy and Mumbo barely escape and are trapped together, and now must save their friends...

This is kinda bare bones but after watching Tommy and Mumbo interact more, their dynamic is really fun and there are tons to be had. That being said, maybe that guy from Race to The Moon kidnapped Wilbur and Grian or smth and they have to do the titular race to the moon to save them, IDK

A first concept sketch of a new AU idea! Working on a lot of world building for this one, and it’s probs going to be long ride!

I hope to document the progress as I’ve never really done that with a work before!
