Watching Inuyasha again (I never finished it but it's technically a rewatch where I am), and I think Inuyasha (the character) would make a good big brother

A comment on the recent chapter I posted for my AU made me feel so seen, I guess is the way to say it

I am quite obviously neurodivergent (diagnosed inattentive ADHD), so I accidentally put a lot of myself into Aym while writing. He had basically a panic attack + overstimulated melt down. Someone in the comments pointed out that it was a panic attack and I was like "whoa, wait, he had basically what I did that one time"

Story is I went to the newly opened aquarium in my area (this was around 2021-2022 I think) with my family who were in from out of town. Thing about me is that I hate aquariums. Aquatic animals freak me out so I was already on edge. Then we went into the ray petting room + bird area. I have trauma relating to birds so I was even more on edge. There were a lot of people in there so it was loud and echoing off of the walls + the sound of the birds made me overstimulated and I spiraled into a panic attack.

Aym had something similar, but, yunno, he was in a new place and thought the people he loved weren't around so he was freaking out.

So now I'm putting more and more of myself into him ughhh I didn't mean to but now he's my favorite blorbo. Thank you, Ao3 commenter, for helping me realize that

Gemspot is Fluffypelt's totally-not-gf. She's the daughter of the current leader and has been through a lot. As a kit, she was attacked by a rogue while on a walk with a warrior and another kit. She was the only survivor.

Her leg is weak from the injuries she sustained so she needs more rest than most warriors. Luckily, fishing doesn't take too much energy, so she does it with Fluffypelt all the time. She misses her kit friend a lot and is plauged by nightmares of the day she was attacked. It doesn't help that the rogue who hurt her was a part of the group who killed Firestike

Rocktooth is WillowClan's grumpy old medicine cay. She's not THAT old, but she sure does act it. She'll yell at you while healing your wounds, but is gentler with kits. She is currently mates with a she-cat named Pinefur. She and her adopted daughter Smoketail are the only older cats who she treats nicely

She works really hard, to the point where she's dropped down from exhaustion. Luckily her apprentice, Jadepaw, is around to help her quit that bad habit

Darkstep is the deputy of WillowClan is a nice, hard-working guy. He's like the dad of your best friend who makes you guys snacks while you're playing video games

He's a cool dad and an even cooler deputy. He's pretty good at assigning patrols to everyone's liking and gets along with most everyone. He has two daughters, Blueclaw and Icepatch, and a sister, Lightwing, who he loves very much and would kill for

Lastly is our leader, Whitestar! She's currently the youngest leader, despite the other two being new leaders. She was the apprentice of Flamestar and takes a lot of pride in the stories of her Clan

She's very close to her older sister, Silverstripe, and adores her new family. Her mate, Treetail, is literally her favorite person and she is very prideful of her four kits, Gemspot, Glacierpaw, Thunderpaw and Beerlepaw. She treats all of her Clanmates fairly, but she might have a few secrets that she's terrified of telling

I thought giving her fluffy ears would make her look more "wild" because her mom's family is from the mountains and her dad's family are rogues. I also gave her a little belly because she's had kits and is currently nursing them

Meet Amberheart, Jadepaw's mother.

She's the daughter of the famous Flamestar, who restarted WillowClan after they were driven out generations before. She's always been nice and hates fighting, but she's ferocious when it comes to her family.

She's lost a lot of people in her life (her mom died in childbirth, her dad died when she was an apprentice, her littermates were stillborn, her mate died when her kits were young) but she still keeps going. Now she's a perma-queen and is helping her best friends, Greymoon and Fallenbranch, raise their kits

Meet Patchheart, the oldest of this friend group!

He was almost an apprentice when most of his friends were born, but as the only one in his age-range he got along with them well

He's a good mentor and a quiet guy, but very scary when he needs to be. His parents are both deceased, but he's accepted the loss a long time ago.

He was the surrogate father for Fallenbranch's stillborn litter and would be willing to do it again because he loves his friends

Didn't revamp Firestrike (Amberheart's mate) because I didn't feel like it, but otherwise I've revamped the entire original friend group from the first arc of my story!
