What really matters are good endings, not flawed beginnings.

Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله, Minhaj as-Sunnah (v. 8, p. 416)

Don’t overthink the future. Have dreams, have plans and strive to make them come true, to make it happen. But take life as it comes. Don’t obsess over the future. Life won’t always go your way. Overthinking and obsessing over it won’t help, it only increases you in worry about something you don’t even know will happen. Take every day as it comes, appreciate the blessings in it and focus on the positive. Things will eventually mess up either way and you’ll have to deal with it. But until then, take life as it comes without obsessing and worrying over it.

God has guaranteed you sustenance (rizq), so don't wear yourself out worrying about your future. You are being taken care of by the best of caretakers. Focus simply on your efforts and strive hard.

The human realm is the realm of effort, and human effort is limited to acquiring of the means. The realm of the ends and outcomes is the realm of Allah. Say insha'Allah and wake up every day with hope in your heart.

... for getting through the days, you didn't think you would get through. for completing tasks, you didn't think you could do at all. for taking steps forward, when you thought you couldn't walk anymore.

you are stronger and braver than you realise. give yourself credit for that bravery. you deserve it ✨

i don’t like how endings in real life come on so suddenly without making sense, without much warning. one minute you’re in the middle of something and the next it’s all a very long time ago and you’re a different person and none of it is ever coming back
